Get three bowls. Fill one with hot (not boiling) water, one with Luke warm water and one with ice water.

Put one hand in the ice water and the other hand in the hot water. Wait five minutes and plunge both hands in the lukewarm water.

Feels weird, doesn’t it? This is why cold showers are bearable. When you step out, you are no longer cold, …as opposed to taking a hot shower, then threatening bodily harm to whoever just opened the bathroom door and let out all the steam.

'And I screamed like a little girl'. I wonder why a grown man can't say 'And I screamed like a little BOY.' Is it worse for a man to scream like a girl than to scream like a boy? What does it say about how you think about women in your culture when 'screaming like a girl' is worse than 'screaming like a boy'?
Grow up, man!

I started taking cold showers on 1st of December 2022 and continued till now.

Nine weeks so far.
I was 61 years of age when I started.

I can honestly say I feel great.

The truth it is not easy, as soon as the cold water hits me it shocks me from my toes to my head.

I take deep breathes as I shower for 4 minutes.

When I turn the cold shower off, I truly feel amazing, my whole bodt is woken up,

It definitely takes a strong mind, a mental toughness to step into that cold shower, especially as you know you could walk into a warm shower.

It is not easy but so much worth it for all the health benefits that can come from taking cold showers.

All the very best.

John.👍

Holy Smokes, 5 minutes😳😳
When I first started, I could hardly do 5 seconds of full on cold! Let’s get real. Unless you are an animal and can walk into full cold start out with warm and gradually go to full cold.

My challenge now is the unheated pool. Max 40 seconds and I am in actual pain for 10 seconds after I get out.

I've been hearing great things about Cold Showers, Cold in General, I feel like the idea behind is shocking the body to an uncomfortable feeling where your just forced out of your head. You could look at it as if your body in a state of Inflammation and a Cold Shower is just the perfect medicine.

I realized that I stopped taking cold showers and that’s exactly the reason why I feel so devastated… Since that day I wake up loving life again, thanks to cold shower! It is actually powerful guys, please just try it out

Missing really important information- 1. Define cold- what temperature? 2. How long is needed from a SCIENTIFIC basis for benefits? He said "five minutes" but is that science based or just something he said? Good start, but this is like a rough draft of a speech.

I'm in Australia so the water doesn't seem to be very cold right now, but I'll see what winter brings. I suppose this time of the year, I'd normally still be using too much hot water so I guess it's a start. It's a nice feeling being able to do stuff that most people "can't" handle.

Cold showers are amazing. However, work yourself up to 5mins. Start with cool water, just your head, then your shoulders, then legs etc. Gradually get colder and stay in longer. Work up to 4 or 5 mins. Do it the very first thing in the morning. God helps those who help themself.
