I just paid for and used music from Epidemic Sound in a video (per Think Media's suggestion because I love them!) and received a copyright claim on that video from Epidemic sound. Am I supposed to site them in a specific way? I chose to pay for music and use them because I didn't want to worry about claims. What should I do?

I think you all need to go into the details of epidemic. What are the risks/downsides? If I stop my subscription, will all my videos get flagged? If my videos get stale, then I still have to pay? I think I saw that you can buy music, but it was $500 for the song I picked. Not enough info to make me feel comfortable with this.

You said it was "okay" to pull sound effects from other channels, when your channel was new and wasn't making money. So to you, violating copyright law only matters if you get caught. No. The reason it's wrong to violate copyright is because you're taking someone else's product and using it without compensating them. The fact that you can get away with it doesn't make it right.

I'm a new subscriber to your channel, but this moral and legal corruption on your part, combined with your failure to respond to the commenter who got copyright claimed for using Epidemic, is causing me to unsubscribe. It's becoming pretty obvious anyway that your videos are mostly thinly-disguised ads for your sponsors.

Quick tip for everyone when introducing yourself. Tiny thing that will help someone hear your name clearly so it doesn't run together and sound like one super fast word. You can articulate your name by saying "My name is <pause> FIRST <pause> LAST <pause> with..." Doesn't need to be exaggerated, just slight. 1% better. 😁

Sound design is definitely something that I've been overlooking. I'm going to start focusing on that more. It's true if you have bad audio people won't watch and I've definitely neglected that part. Thanks for the tips

I love their music and I registered for the 30-day trial. I am downloading music as I love it and saving it in my desktop. The scenario is that I only post every Sunday so that will be maximum of 8 music files (in case I use 2 music types pee video). If I decide to not subscribe to Epidemic sound, can I use the music that I downloaded today in new videos,meaning, use it after I have unsubscribed ?

I avoid demonetization even though I’m not monetized cuz if I one day blow up and get monetized I don’t have to scramble to get copyright free music and SFX

Thanks for this. I used stock footage in my last video and I didn't use any sound effects, leaving them a little "empty". I'll definitely add sounds effects to these segments in future videos.
