Whilst I may not be a architect nor have a interest in it as a career I can say this will help me buy a better designed or at least located house in the future, thank you Barry.

Why put that external space "inside" the house ? ,Could just put it between the water and the house , on a lower level

I didn't know architects existed anymore. I thought it was all bankers. You see weird stuff now. I see a lot of pastel or cartoon mcdonald's colors exterior of a house, and i don't understand how you put wood floors and granite and earth materials on the inside if you have cartoon colors on the outside. Shouldn't there be continuity? People are crazy. They're making an inside out house. They want AstroTurf in the yard and put plants inside. It's inside out architecture like the inside out club idea for a night at the roxbery. oh oh IKEA. then people are pretending to green and environmental.

What i heard was: the kitchen should get morning light and a nice view, & the living room evening light and a nice view. Then I saw the result and was just sad.

Im by NO MEANS an architect...........but i've designed the layout of my house with VERY similar ideals. Here in NYC we dont have any beachfront views so its either the street or the backyard. And unless you live 20 stories up in Manhattan there arent a huge selection of views so we aimed at the 1 thing we could control the most our backyard. So the layout focused on creating the bedrooms/ living rooms to the rear of the house. It gives me a sense of peace of mind knowing that at the very least im heading in somewhat right direction.

And my professor never do like this only said sth like “look at the precedents” “design by doing design” haha thanks
