any thoughts why I am feeling upper back pain/tiredness between my shoulder blades after not even very long sitting in the chair?
ОтветитьI finally know how to use my chair properly
ОтветитьThanks. I've had my embody for prob at least 4 years now. I should've set it up right a looong time ago. xD
Ответитьthanks a lot!
ОтветитьGreat video. My only tid bit is that the normal embody causes me pain in the back of my legs and butt. The pixel set up is digging into my thy. I don't think any amount of adjusting is going to fix that. I looked up HM guide for adjustment and pretty much follows what your video shows. I don't know if I'm going to keep mine unfortunately, the back support is too tier and I love that aspect of the chair.
ОтветитьJust got my Embody and couldn’t be happier! Thanks for that perfect explanation!
ОтветитьLower back pain is a problem with this chair. Have been using it for a couple of months. For now I temporarily switched to my IKEA Marcus. Once the lower back pain disappears I will come back to HM embody gaming chair.
ОтветитьVery good video, concise and covered all the points I was looking for!
ОтветитьFor fucks sake this guy talks so much.
ОтветитьNice, very helpfull
ОтветитьThank you!
Ответитьjust got this chair. came from a crappy one. but this chair is killing my tailbone ever since sitting in it
Ответитьthank you for this, as a gamer and a programmer this was really informative and super helpful. Thank you!
ОтветитьJust stumbled across your channel, great to find someone whos both a gamer and into fitness and health like me. Really appreciate the content! Subscribed!
ОтветитьJust got mine today. Appreciate all the info. The seat depth has always been a struggle for me for any chair. I am coming from the Steelcase Gesture and that chair just did not work out for me unfortunately. First impressions with the embody is that the seat is so much better and I feel supported both on the seat and back way better than the Gesture. Traditional lumbar support systems almost counter act their usefulness for me and glad to see the embody is working out for me so far.
Ответитьvery good video i appreciate it man!
ОтветитьGreat video, tyvm
ОтветитьI been using my chair wrong all this time. Thank you.
ОтветитьAwesome video!!!!!
Ответитьi just got this chair and i really love it but i keep having this lower back pain from it because of the back on the chair it has like plastic points that slide around the lumbar area it feels like it is jabbing my lower back or sciatica nerves i don't know if my back is trying to adjust but to be fair i didn't have a foot rest, but once I get one and if the pain still continues what do I do? do get a lumbar cushion if so which one for this chair with the weird looking back rest on the embody.
its just weird because i jumped from a amazon chair that I used for 5 years to this so i don't know if my back is trying to adjust or i am doing something wrong. And when I am sitting all the way back it feels like all of the weight is on my lumbar or lower back i dont know if that makes sense but i may have adhd which is why i move to much
Can someone please like this comment so I can try this tomorrow when I get home lol Tia!!! ❤
ОтветитьProbably the single only guide that's not a simply a silly showcase of adjustments available and chair features, and cares about connecting these to the ergonomics. Not even HM has a decent one. Congrats.
ОтветитьAmazing video! I was trying to dial in my embody and this video helped tremendously!
ОтветитьGeez, this was such a better video that Herman Miller's official stuff.. Lift the seat extenders up before trying to move them, they didn't say anything about this in their video! The tilt lock, unlock on the back, bottom, left wasn't even in their adjustment instructions!
ОтветитьJust got my ebody and this video really helped! Thanks so much
ОтветитьGood review illustrating the WHY of the adjustments instead of just showing HOW to adjust things. I found an Embody while garbage-picking* and had to look up the adjustment instructions and the back curve setting is really confusing. Because spines curve, it seems logical to dial the back back to match the curve, but I immediately had back pain from lack of support. Dialing it forward to a vertical profile actually puts support where its needed and I can sit 2-3 hours (only had it two days) and get up without any back pain.
My shoulders & neck are a little achy even though I've got the height and arm rests set properly; I think that's just me - I have a long neck, large head (most adjustable baseball caps don't let out far enough for me), and long hair so there's a lot of weight up there.
*Who throws away a $1800+ office chair?!?!? Yeah, the wheels were jacked up with hair & crap and I had to order some rollerblade wheels for $16 from Amazon, but come on. Other than surface cleaning (think they were vapers) and some scuffs, it's mechanically sound and for the best price of FREE! it's awesome. This is after picking a $500 Noble gaming chair a few months ago which was pretty good, but firm and also raises the question of who throws away a $500 chair just because it had a little split in a seam that a quick piece of tape covered over?
This video was better than the official HM one, thanks!
ОтветитьI can't for the life of me get the footrest to the correct height. Too high - and I tilt too much (even with tight stiffness). Too low, and too much of my leg weight is on my thighs rather than the feet. I'm 1.78m tall which is nothing special. I've been experimenting with homemade footrest which is very low, but no matter what height I make it be, it practically always feels too low or too high. What am I doing wrong? Any tips?
ОтветитьGreat video for guiding through the setup process. I returned one of these chairs last year, but after seeing this video and getting a better understanding of what I did wrong, I bought another and it's so comfortable now! Thanks for the assist :)
ОтветитьThis video made my Embody even better. Thanks a lot for your video!
ОтветитьExcellent! Such a help to me adjusting my new Embody. Thank you for this video.
ОтветитьBeautiful. Helped so much. Don't need to look for any more setting up videos 😀
ОтветитьMan I've had my embody for like 5-6 months now and never really looked up a detailed guide to understand how to use all of it to fit to my body and my back's still been uncomfortable. Thanks for this vid, I've made some adjustments and they feel better already!
ОтветитьHard to put into words how great the Embody chair is, but I can say I no longer need to go to the chiropractor. After a test drive from the Herman Miller dealer, I knew I'd finally found the chair my back needed. Occasionally I have to put in 12+ hours in front of the screen, the Embody makes it safe and comfortable.
ОтветитьJust got my chair delivered today. This video helped a ton! I looked at a few other videos but this one was the best for sure.
ОтветитьIve always been annoyed at monitor stands. They never get high enough. And the more adjustable the are, the harder they are to get centred since they tend to have a really bad mechanism.
Ive only owned one that was good only by accident since they decided to scale its size on a 32 inch monitor. But that came at the cost of the feet taking up half the depth of my desk.
Then since all monitor arms mount the same way, if you have a desk that doesnt allow for it, you cant use them.
I really do t understand why no one just makes a simple fixed stand that you can get at various heights, everything uses the same vesa mount..
Bought the Embody Logitech chair a few months ago. I liked the color and looking of the chair but absolutely hated sitting on it until today! Thanks!
ОтветитьJust got my chair, loving it, thx for the video
Ответитьgreat and helpful video but
y is he trying to eat his own words??
Been using my Embody for 2 years now, today is the day I learned that I was sitting on it the wrong way. I thought the backrest should be in front of me and I need to lean into it. Thanks for the clear instructions!
ОтветитьI know this is considered sin, but whatever: I cannot sit in the 90 degree knee position, and i do not sit in an upright position.
The only way i can ever possibly sit comfortably in a chair is leaned backwards, with a footrest. Sue me. I do this because i sit with my mouse arm and monitor angled towards me. It's awesome.
Outstanding video. Informative and very helpful.
ОтветитьVery helpful thanks for creating this video, I now know how to get the best of my chair!
ОтветитьI skimmed through your video the first time but did not thoroughly go through it step by step. I started feeling real bad lower back pain only when sitting on the embody gaming chair which I have owned for a few weeks now. I adjusted the back several times but the lower back pain would still come back in the course of sitting on the chair for 15 - 20 minutes. Than a online chair website forum recommended going through your video step by step and this fixed my back pain issue instantly! My seat depth was adjusted too deep and was the main cause of the lower back pain. As soon as I adjusted the seat depth to a 3 finger gap and properly followed the steps for arm rest, back fit adjustment & tilt tension the pain went away immediately. The seat depth being to deep was the main cause for my lower back pain. Thank you for this video!
ОтветитьHi! Late comment, but recently got a regular Embody after watching your review/setup videos and wanted to ask if there was a transition period for you in terms of getting used to the chair? I upgraded from a Sayl! I ask because I notice my hamstrings feeling pressure when sitting on the Embody and not sure if its a seat height/depth issue or a “Im not used to sitting in the Embody” issue yet. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Ответитьthank you for this video!
ОтветитьThanks for the vid .. i was originally looking how to adjust the height as i tried and tried. So to adjust height u have to touch the border of the circle around it. I know im not the only one but i felt stupid as i was to careful. LOL
Anyway loved the good acting on screen, minor thing turn on the display to make it more relatable.
Have a nice day, chair feels awesome!
Hi how tall are you?
ОтветитьThanks for this video. Very helpful!
