I just tried to DL the add on all the things and it said it was corrupt and would not DL. Is there a way around that? Or do they need to fix it? Also is there any add on that guides you to level fast?

This farm is pure cancer

Farming those guys for almost 1 week all day long now, only had 1 Dragon Shard of Knowledge so far. Either i got extremly unlucky or this strategy is really not worth the time invested.

I just killed 7 rates and no shards.

I've made several improvements to the WeakAura since this video went live, lots of customization options, language localization, optional sound alerts, hiding rares that have already been killed for the day and a waypoint button.

i get 1 a week. Seems broken...

Am i the only person who feels as though crafting this expansion is really worth a damn? like crafting this expansion is something VERY good and I am really amazed at how much they really put into it.

most of rares dropping shards now its just personal luck how many you will get

Got a few of these from disturbed dirt and expedition packs while farming my bottled essence as well.

Wow, 3 dragon shards in 2 hours. Seriously, the grind ppl are willing to put themselves through is just beyond me. Fair play to you all though.

As someone who has played professions and the AH since end of wrath and entered this xpac worth 200m gold I just don’t find the time or internet this xpac to play professions like I used to. With TSM throttled too makes it annoying.

I'm a old wow player amd have played in about 10 years... I don't even know what these are for other than no profs.... I guess I will learn haha

Not completely relevant to the information here but I've noticed that they also disconnected the pre-requisite questline for discovering Dragonshards to begin with. This no longer requires you to have completed the Ohn'ahran Plains questline. Might come in handy for those that accidently accepted the Artisan's lady quest and buggered themselves into this requirement when they skip quest was broken (which to this day still doesn't work properly for me on most of my alts, but least now its no longer needed). Just fly straight to Forkriver Crossing and chat to the guy there and you will get your first of 4 shard in a quick and easy few quests around the area

Got about 20 of these by farming dirt for spark/bottled essence last week, about 1 per hour or so.

Just completed Heroic RAID and received 2 dragon shards on a full clear.

I just killed 4 rares in a storm in Ohnaran Planes, and got two shards.

58 unspent points? How in the goddamn fuck?

Killed 3 of them back to back and zero shards but three 379 epics. Character has 151 KP in alchemy and 219 in leatherworking. Either bad luck or meant to be catchup for chars with fewer KP.
now 4 rares = 0 shards and 4 epics

People who farmed dragon in 1st week of DF release got tons of them farming dirts and chests ... then Blizzard silently nerfed drop chance ... even tho those people who farmed alot saying its just low drop chance ... i know it was alot higher chance 1st week of it.

got 2 shards today and 1 spark around 40 rares killed including the 30 min spawns

I wonder, if its a catch up and i just spam points into one prof, letting the other drag behind, will that decrease the drop chance or keep me in "catch up" mode.

Can you explain how the extra sparks work? I did my 5 spark quest and got the bottle thing. But how and where do I get my 6th? I'm very confused lol

The shards on the new rare's are on a daily timer you will not get a shard twice. Also it seems it wont drop one until you find one on dirt or packs then they drop from rares again.

I've farmed these rares for the last 3 hours, 6x kills, only 1 shard so far.
Update: Farmed these rares for 9 hours, killing 18 only got 2 shards. Just a heads up!

I think Blizzard really dropped the ball on communicating about Dragon Shards, because I have always thought that they were a catch-up mechanic, but apparently many people are confused.

Using addons is cheating?

256 knowledge points in Engineering and 218 in Alchemy I have noticed I am getting way more DragonShards than normal in a week. From any super rare, dirt piles etc.

If you need data points just did the last 3 on two different toons (one with 224 KP in JC and the other 175/140 KP respectively in Enchant and Engineering) with zero drops. So unsure if this is more of a low overall KP catch up or has been patched out already? Definitely small sample size. Last one i had people report if they got KP that were fighting and no one said they did

Where can I send primal chaos to my alts?

I also feel like I've been receiving quite a bit in my m+ and raid runs on my mage I had just made last week. It has gathering as both its professions shrug

I'd probably have to play my first character for a week or so to see if I get any on that one since ive done way more proff stuff on it.

Dragonsshards are pretty likely to be a catch up system. I haven’t had a single one drop until last week, because I always did every single prof weekly. Two weeks ago I couldn’t do them and last week I dropped a shard at the second boss in raid on Wednesday. I do believe that there is an internal limit for knowledge points that increases every week. The quest to unlock the shards is called catching up after all…

Killed over 60 since reset, 1 shard, 0 spark. I highly doubt they "frequently" drop anything but rep.
