You are correct, India was invaded by waves of foreign invaders.
The Europeans were the last but the first to leave the subcontinent as they couldn't live in India with the rest.
As long the British ruled India, everyone accepted the rule of the whiteman.
When the time came for the Europeans to handover power to the dark skinned natives, the central Asians from Afghanistan, Iran and central Asia demanded their own land called Pakistan aka land of the pure.
This Pakistan has no place for sons of the soil who converted to Islam during 500 to 700 years of Afghan and Turkic rule over large parts of the subcontinent.
This ione of the reason which led to the birth of Bangladesh and MQM.
Pakistan never accepted the Muslims from India as one of their own which itself is not a homogeneous polity.
In the subcontinent, only Muslims of foreign origin are considered pure Muslims. This has led to a caste system among the Muslims of the subcontinent where they do not marry Muslims of Hindu origin.
Calling Afghan and Turkic rule as Muslim rule is as ridiculous as calling British, French and Portuguese rule as Christian rule.
This part of the history is known to all.
Very few know 600 years of Chinese and Burmese occupation of India's NE.
NE used to be a collection of Bengali kingdoms which were invaded and occupied first by Tai Chinese in circa 1200CE followed by Burmese invasion and occupation from circa 1400CE to 1832CE.
1832CE, East India Company liberated North East from Burma but with majority Chinese and Burmese origin people who till this day have not accepted themselves as Indians.
This is the crux of never ending insurgencies and racial conflicts supported by China and Burma right from 1950s.
Burma used to have a large thriving Indian population who were kicked out, because the Indians were more successful and prosperous than the Burmese.
Whereas in India, India broke up Assam into several ungovernable states because settlers from China and Burma don't want to live in India with Indians.
The Ahoms and Meitei are not Indian, but Tai Chinese.
The Nagas, Mizos, Kukis etc are not Indians, but Burmese.
Kashmir too has the same problem as large number of Muslims in Kashmir are not Kashmiris but Afghans, Iranians and central Asians who absolutely abhor Indians.
Their mindset is no different from those of Europeans towards Indians.
This racism led to article 370 in Kashmir and article 371 in NE.
These articles are a rather not too polite way of enforcing "dogs and Indians" not allowed in parts of independent India.
If we have to become a nation, we need truth and reconciliation instead of lies, appeasement and distortion/suppression of history which almost all political parties have been doing even before 1947.

Each word of both Mr Katju and Mr Sibal is superb and having nice arguments. Just remember that to spread the hate and gain the power will not work all the time. Our Indians will realize that oneday when our country would have too delayed and our progress done since indendent is not on the track. Just remember that in 2020, our and China's economy were more or less in the same line.
