should I cover airconditor when snow
Ответитьamazing video, thank you
ОтветитьFrom what I know: The accumulator prevents any liquid refrigerant that was meant to evaporate before going into the compressor because a compressor cannot have any liquid refrigerant, it must be at a gas state or else it will kill the compressor
ОтветитьVery Helpful Thank you,
ОтветитьDo we could used compressed air to clean the condenser unit?
ОтветитьLike the car mechanic, something always needs to be done on your own! LOL
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your thoughts and knowledge with us. I appreciate it.
ОтветитьI cannot beleive I found this amazing video with understandable yet thorough explanations on only my second try. subscribed, great video
ОтветитьI was a push monkey in this business for a few summers. The old perv I worked for he always cleaned the Nasty units. I am no professional my units do not look like this. Not the furnace
ОтветитьMy neighbor been doing ac/heating for 45 years. He makes sh!+. My mother in-law has a certificate in accounting she Dose about the same works inside no labor. My uncle is a accountant he has been doing it for 35 years. He makes 3 figures. I been working with my hands labor for 20 years & I wish I could finish my degree.

ОтветитьGood job
ОтветитьThis really opens my eyes Thanks I think I have almost the same heat pump. I need to know this stuff because my Heat pump is old . I installed it in 1997 and I have been very lucky it still works pretty good! I had to replace a few things like the condenser once and two other small things I am very happy that I have a well-made heat pump to last this long! I won't waste my money on filters they do not do much of anything I haven't used an air filter for almost 16 to 18 years and I have had no problems. Once every five or more years I will take a rag and water and wipe the A coil down and really it isn't that dirty when I do! I really think the filters are a waste of money! That is just in my case but I have seen no use for them!
ОтветитьExcellent video. I love how he explains everything and that you can understand . Neat guy. I watch this video over and over. Sometimes I catch something I missed before. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I appreciate you.
ОтветитьThank you for your instructive video. Quite easy to understand explanation.
ОтветитьThanks for this great post.
ОтветитьGreat video! Very informative and concise! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
ОтветитьGreat video and thank you so much for posting! Is there a way you can figure out the size or tonnage of your unit if the writing on the name plate has worn off?
ОтветитьA quick word of advice. If you have cottonwood trees, get some screen wire and wrap the outside of your condenser unit.
Much easier to clean screen wire than coils.
Been there done that.
I agree that you should have checked at the terminals. You could have also taken a rubber mallet and smacked the compressor. Sometimes the overload sticks open and this will close it back.
Ответитьquestion ,on the hard start kit can you put a hard start kit on a ac system to save on energy even if you dont need a hard start kit ??
ОтветитьGood stuff
ОтветитьI love the Info I get from your videos.
Have a question:
Have only a run capacitor, can I install a dual capacitor to help the fan?.
And two, can I install a hard start capacitor.
Someone said his system is fantastic and he takes care of it even getting an annual checkup by a tech. He claims that his system can go from a couple of days not working to 68 degrees in less than an hour. Cooling down his warm house that reads 89. Is that possible? Meanwhile after replacing capacitor my system struggles with getting to 78 degrees set temperature during the very hot day. Heat index of 108 degrees. What are the obvious causes for my struggling system ? Low refrigerant? Old compressor? I washed condenser unit coils and filter replaced. Just a few weeks ago it kept up to set temperature of 74-76 degrees no problem. Yes it gets down to that 78 degrees overnight but can’t do it during the day when the heat is Soo ferocious.
ОтветитьIf I have Two units does that means I have two evaporator coils?
ОтветитьNope, nothing else that ought to be added. Great video and sure there are differences between brands but you covered the general principles and components. Great job
ОтветитьI’m go to take classes to do this I’m excited
ОтветитьI’ve been trying to determine whether my system has a TXV or metering device, but I could not locate either. After watching this video, I realize that it’s probably located within the evaporator coil casing. Is that where they would normally be located? My first time watching your channel. Excellent video. I subscribed.
ОтветитьSaver switch sounds like some NWO stuff
ОтветитьYOU are a great teacher my friend ! Your teaching really educates me thank you so much for your valuable lesson my friend!!!
ОтветитьWell, that covers like 3 or 4 semesters right there!
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video, I have been watch your channel a while, very informative and helpful. I also have a quick question, I found there are 5 wires come from compressor of my Lennox AC outside unit, three direct from compressor, two yellow wire from a device plug in the liquid line. What is the device for ? IT looks like a "thermometer" to me. Thank you !
ОтветитьWhen my A/C turns on there is a loud "click". A/C works normal and works well, but that "click" is SUPER loud. Is that something I can switch out?
(It's sounds like if you slapped a wooden ruler on a table loud.)
Nice presentation you did great I'm not critiquing you but you will want to note in the future to check for power after you have pulled the disconnect theoretically and often times they have a jumped leg instead of replacing the disconnect have noticed many occasion where they burned leg was jumped again you did a great job you have a lot of viewers if someone's in August they could miss that
ОтветитьVery good videos, great explanations.
ОтветитьThanks for this video.
Ответитьdude straight up your a Great Teacher.. im 67 old and a OG Mechanix doall guy and appreciate your wisdom
ОтветитьWere u Amish?
ОтветитьThank you for your explanation, one question, do you think I should change my AC unit if it is already 23 years old, I already changed the fan motor and the fan and a new capacitor and I maintain it once a year, do you think I need to change my units although it is working fine?is true that old units can last 30 to 40 years?
ОтветитьThe infamous king valve😂😂
ОтветитьDo you have a video on cleaning up an A-coil evaporator? I have look everywhere on your channel and I cannot find anything. Access is quite challenging. Any word or advice?
ОтветитьWrap the condenser with a piece of window screen. Been doing this at my home for 15 years. Cotton will just roll up and fall off if you brush it. Heck of a lot easier than taking the unit apart.
ОтветитьI never ....well almost never comment on any video or blog, etc. Moreso if they make it such a info fest requiring you to sign up, anyway I'm sure most understand.
So for me to take the incitive to do so to leave comment is RARE.
However when I was lucky enough to come across your video and the POWERFUL, CLEAR TO THE POINT EXPLATIONS Frankly I was amazed you definitely are very thorough and explain things in a way most can understand without through in a bunch of other crap like how long you lived or worked somewhere or minute by minute play by play of "my life and how freaking amazing I am" oh there is my dog rascal.
45 minutes later you are like great he likes his belly rubbed.......what was this video about again? Sitting catching my head why he still has not shown the secret way to open a car door (which finally is crap anyway).
All they can do is say subscribe and like for they want the revenue from ads and I get it.
How ever don't pound me in the face first 15 seconds of your video then again at the end.
If that you and you are reading this produce context as this man has and you won't have to ask
I am 59 years old and have a professional handyman service and I have seen videos before A LOT when certain proprietary product situations have come up you are clear to the point I understood everything you said (of course I am aware of all you taught) though in wasting time watching videos you appeared
LONG STORY SHORT YOU HAVE TALENT AT TEACHING AND UT IS CLEAR FROM YOUR EXPLATIONS AND THIS VIDEO YOU KNOW HVAC AND I JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW BEST VIDEO IVE EVER WATCH AS CLEAR AND COMMANDING SHOWING YOUR COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR SUBJECT
I tip my hat to you ...bravo
Ps I would rather not explain my credentials but trust my opinion is not half hearted or unwarranted.
Good day to you keep it up
Some door knobs have a hole in the middle on the non-locking side. You can put in a small flat head screwdriver and you can feel when it finds a slot in the pin and turn it to open the door. Not all knobs have it. And you never covered the upper limit trimesters that shut off the heater when it is too hot. they typically auto reset. I've seen them in the back of the cabinet holding the A coil.
