Great video as always Brian. However I have a slight problem. I have run the list vol and don't see the 100MB FAT32 volume as per your video.
I do see however a 260MB FAT32 partition. I have browsed into that volume and it has 3 directories : EFI, HP & Hewlett-Packard.

When I go into each of those directories it's just BIOS updates.

So.... where do I go from here? Safe to erase the contents of that volume and carry on as per your video or do I need to create a new volume and repair the BCD that way?

For context, everything was working fine. Had an issue with microphone, so ran HP driver updates which said there was a BIOS update and this has corrupted the system.

Help and advice appreciated.

You saved my PC! Not sure how I got into such a mess but was cloning my drive to a larger one and I got the screen that you described, Tried quite a few other solutions but yours was clearly presented and worked first time. I will now make a backup just in case it happens again! Many thanks.

Bro, please help

After reinstalling, my laptop suddenly said:

File: \windows\system32\winload.exe

Status: 0xc0000225

Info: the application or operating system couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors.

I've done bootrec /fixmbr, fixboot, and rebuildbcd, but there's still no change, bro. However, when I booted the problematic hard disk on my second laptop, it worked normally, bro.
The question is, what should I do to repair my first laptop?
because it seems like I didn't experience any errors for Windows and my hard disk because it booted successfully on my second laptop, and only errors on my first laptop.
Please bro, give me a solution so that I can boot my first laptop.
Thank you in advance

“I Absolutely Love these type of fix-it videos Brian.” !!! Keep them coming. I’m currently experiencing an issue right now whereas I have a machine with a messed up (legacy) HDD that’s corrupted in some way shape or form. It will no longer boot up in Windows 7.

Not sure if it’s a corrupted boot manager, or what.

I currently have no access to a second working PC, or access to the Internet as well.

Any suggestions I would appreciate. For there is data on the drive that I would to keep if at all possible.

PS. Drive is also unrecognizable as well. Even when I try slaving the drive; it can’t be seen. I’d prefer Not to Format the hard drive if at all possible. And also other operating systems whether Windows 7 or 10 Pro and keeps complaining about not having certain drivers as well. Not sure how to get drivers especially not having access to the Internet or an extra machine nearby. Please !! Someone give me some ideas ?? I would appreciate it. - Keith

You are amazing. This worked wonderful for myself. But I would like to add to this for anyone else that might be having the same issue I was, so I just upgraded my PC and was swapping parts out to the new motherboard and so on. When I tried to boot up for some reason two (2) UEFI partitions were created causing the system to have a failed boot. If anyone else has two (2) of those 100mb files with the same Fat32 format, just follow this guys steps and delete the vol that is higher then the first one so what I mean is his was vol 2 which I had a vol 2 but I also had a vol 5 so I formatted vol 5 and vol 2 but then I only created a new boot file for vol 2 Z:. And it fixed the issue of having two boot loaders causing windows 10 not to boot. I hope this comment can help anyone else out.

@Britec09 Hello Sir, Just want to say Thank You VERY Much for All of Your Extremely Helpfull Videos!! You Sir Are Amazing 👏 👍👍. I can't figure out how to just search your particular vids, but i was wondering if you've ever done one on a workaround to be able to boot from an M.2 NVME drive installed in a Pcie 3/4 adapter on an older AMD Motherboard in the DDR3 era? Like A88X .. I was able to do it only on 1 board, an MSI A88X G45. I tried it on an Asus A88X PRO & PLUS to no avail, and also an MSI A88X G43 with no go... There's a ton of sketchy web sites with complicated information, but i figured if anyone could get the masses to understand how ta do it, it'd be YOU... 😁
