awesome video, helped clear alot of confusion on my part! if you havent yet, do you think you could explain some icons on the tactical map? theres some arrows and symbols there that im not 100% sure on how they work

Shame that user interface is so terrible in this game. Annoing to use and hard to get clue what game dev has thinked. That is reason I can't recommend this game to others. People like fight with enemy - not with awfull controls. With working or good controls this could be actuallu very good game. Some nice features and deepness.

Joe, do you think you would ever be able to make a video tutorial for a “how to” on the battle groups portion of the operational phase? I know you’re in the midst of other games and taking a break soon, but maybe something to make if you’re ever bored on a rainy day!

Thinking of getting this..... just a question is there a Tutorial in game ? Why are so many people struggling with it?

Just bought graviteam tactics last week after burning out from years of excessive micromanagement of combat mission, so I’m trying to follow all the best tutorials I can to best learn what I know can be a very rewarding sim

EXACTLY what I needed! I wonder if there is a way to auto-resolve battles so I can just practice this part of the game. I think it would be interesting to see you play a game, but only show your strategy during this portion. Maybe include a brief description of what happened when you played the combat portion, perhaps with comments on mistakes/successes as far as how it relates to this part of the game. Anyway, thanks again! 😎

Can you explain how to reinforce damaged units. I keep seeing that you can call in “reserves” but I’m either dense and can’t figure it out or it’s not what I think it is.

The battle groups sitting on top of one another is annoying. the border squares have four nodes instead of two, but there is still not enough space, so the developers resort to these units stacks, but the game engine does not quite like them ;) The only way that I know of how to get both battle groups in the stack out in the same turn is to cheat and switch to direct control mode, then move the top unit. You can then switch back to indirect if you want.

For me anyways, the battlegroup 'screen' where all of the units are listed is the most confusing part of this game. Also, I think people tend to look at the map and think of each battlegroup as individual 'units,' which isn't really the way it works in this game. Explaining that 'you're' following the script' is a new way of looking at it that I hadn't thought of though.
