thank you for doing these videos
they really help us medical students with anatomy
THANK YOU
ОтветитьOMG....I have been suffering with symptoms such as these for more than 10 years!! I've explained to my primary, I've been the ER because the presyncope was so bad I was sick to my stomach. Been seeing a neurologist who says I have migraine with visual aura. This has hit everything I've been experiencing. Thanks so much for this video
ОтветитьWell done. I have Left Subclavian Steal Syndrome and you have explained my situation quite clearly. Thank you very, very much.
ОтветитьThanks for your clear Explanation, it makes things much more easier to understand

ОтветитьThank you Chuck Norris of Medicine 💪💪
ОтветитьEnded up here after reading about it an hour and understanding nothing. now its clear. Thankyou!
ОтветитьI have a subclavian steal. It sucks. I say my arms are broken. lol. Great explanation!
ОтветитьIs this syndrome seen on ekg or echocardiogram or stress tests? My neurologist thinks I have this. I grey out when I put my arms over my head like washing my hair or reaching over my head or with pressure on my shoulders (backpack). I also keep a severe headache daily but imaging of my brain shows no cause. Ive had a complete cardiophysiologist work up done but these issues were never seen
ОтветитьI really wish I had a doctor like you to examine my daughter. Doctors think her colour changes are breath-holding low iron without anemia), but some of its presentation conforms to what you describe. I researched her symptoms and it did come up with subclavian involvement like thoracic outlet syndrome. However my daughter is a 3 year old level 3 nonverbal autistic, so this would be exceedingly rare. They couldn't complete the ultrasound, they only ruled out septal defects within the heart. They refused to examine her further because she was so difficult and they think it's breath-holding, so they believe sedation is an unreasonable risk. What are my other avenues to rule out circulation issues like this? Sometimes her arms (both but one moreso that the other can go quite grey, with dark grey appearance within the elbow during these "spells". It is usually the arms, with one more affected than the other then the colour change travels up to her face.
Arms go pale, grey, and then when colour returns her hands go patchy purple and red, especially on side of her index finger and thumb and radial side of the arm. Sometimes her legs are involved, but usually not. If her legs are involved she gets grey lower legs, then beetroot red with white feet and red toes. She has daily pain. She chews her fingers when she does too much physical activity or the temperature suddenly drops (without being freezing). She has indicated a few times the pain is in her finger and toes, but usually she indicates the pain in front lower jaw and back of the lower head. She feels dizzy and goes pale lifting her arms too often above her head while squeezing sand in her hands at the park. She gets cyanotic over her nose bridge, eyes, upper lip, chin and base of her neck whenever pushed on a swing. She finds it difficult to keep her head up and eyes open after about 5 pushes on the swing. Doctors don't listen. I have had to correct them several occasions about when these episodes happen and how they happen. I am worried that we have to wait for the daily iron supplements before they consider anything else.
Could this condition potentially cause a rapid onset development of Livedo Reticularis? It seems in theory it could, minimal case study publications on this. Thank you!
Ответитьwow....its amazing when u can know tht our body is beautifully designs...this mechanisms nd dieseases tq SAM sir.....
Ответитьlovely
ОтветитьI survived this crazy shit!
ОтветитьThanks well done. I love your accent
ОтветитьThis made my day. Thank you so much Sam. I now understand this very well.
ОтветитьMuch under rated video it should have had more views 😔 Anyway I happened to search this topic because of watching "House M.D" series. The students studying under you should be blessed, nicely and easily explained Sir👏👏👏
ОтветитьJust found out today that I have this in L arm. Presented to casualty last week as I though I was about to have a stroke. Bp is quite disparate in each arm with up to 80 systolic points and up to 40 diastolic points difference. One measurement at triage measured a L diastolic pressure of 35.
ОтветитьTerrific 💛👌🏻
ОтветитьThank you sir 😊😇😇😇
ОтветитьWow, so well done. I watched several videos before this one after doing a practice question with a confusing explanation, and I finally get it! Thanks to you. I appreciate you taking the time to make this (:
ОтветитьGosh, a subclavian steal seems like a terrible problem.
ОтветитьThank you so much! This video should help my vascular students a lot!
ОтветитьAwesome and simple. Thanks Uncle Sam
