In the video, the creator challenges the car's launch control system to see if a human can beat it. After several attempts, the creator manages to achieve a quarter-mile time of 10.99 seconds, which is still about eight tenths of a second off from the car's ideal quarter-mile time. However, the creator believes that the human performance is quite impressive, considering the factors affecting the run, such as surface conditions, tire pressure, and fuel type.
ОтветитьWhich car is this
Ответитьnow let’s see Paul Allen’s Launch control
Ответитьwhy does he shift like he’s driving manual😂😂😂
Ответитьstouped
hot tires !!!!!
Launch control is BS and shouldn't be allowed. Are we just going to have our cars drive for us in the future?
ОтветитьYou should have done one final run with launch control on but oh well.
ОтветитьShould have used a GTR
ОтветитьBut you can predict and react. While the computer reacts after it receives data.
ОтветитьTheeeen do a lc-on launch w warmer tires
Ответитьhow to put the rev up without launch control ?
ОтветитьI guess ferrari didn't program it too well (not that Scott is bad, but humans shouldn't be able to beat it)
Ответить😮
ОтветитьHot tires, faster launch…
ОтветитьJust give me the computer so I can beat it... With a fist.
ОтветитьNice and short video, thanks! Donut media would've thrown a 20 minute piece out
ОтветитьIf you love cars and driving.... this is just the best channel. Keep doing your great work.
ОтветитьYes
ОтветитьThe launch control on my Leon Cupra is easy to beat. If you want to sit there and burn rubber leaving long black marks on the road, use launch control. Best times are with traction control on and standard auto mode.
ОтветитьPov you drove the pista in Forza horizon attempting to replicate the video.
ОтветитьSe você joga Gran turismo e não consegue ganhar nas pistas de terra, ai esta sua resposta: desligue o controle de tração
ОтветитьIt would be nice if the launch control allowed you to tune some of the parameters to optimize the acceleration. It is probably set somewhat conservatively for safety reasons.
ОтветитьI shouted donut media as soon as you said give it the beans lol great video!
ОтветитьNo control at the end? Wouldn't fuel load decreasing as you burn it off and tyre heat play a fairly big role?
ОтветитьScott blaming a full gas tank for the weight of his steel balls
ОтветитьUnless you have control of the clutch then you are not really launching the car yourself either way so there is that...
ОтветитьIf you can beat the launch control then it's not a very 'clever' launch control.
ОтветитьThis awesome! So heartwarming, I knew I wasn't an idiot by hating on these stupid electronics in modern cars. Nothing beats a good balanced car with a good driver behind the wheel. It's the reason why F1 cars are launched manually, they don't even have TC or ABS.
Ответитьthe reason he can beat the ECU is the Human is reacting to what is happening as well as anticipating what is going to happen and thus puts a lot more gas into it as he is confident in controlling the car.
The ecu can only respond to what is happening right now, so even the tiniest of wheel slip its going to let of the gas...not always the fastest way to accelerate but better then a novice trying to launch it.
4 wheel drive would solve this
Ответитьits a wrong comparison, you should compare only first 3 seconds of the race not 10 + seconds, because you are only trying to measure the Starting point, the LAUNCH itself, how ever, you didnt count in the drivers error later.............. you could have easily switched gears slower in your different attempts, you also did only 1x attempt for launchcontrol, and many attempts, by your own. Its not too bad, but its not accurate comparison, its just stupid to continue after first 3 seconds if you are trying to measure launch/start ONLY......
ОтветитьThe tires are heated up with each consecutive run and will gain grip. Unless you took like hour long breaks between the runs. In that case this would be pretty accurate.
ОтветитьLaunch control sucks that and traction control and also sport mode like sense when did I need to push a button to male the car go faster it used was just push the gas and it would just automatically go faster there was none of this I'll put it in sport mode launch control. Funny how stupid luxury sports cars are
Ответитьtake all the cameras off the exterior might gain another tenth lol
ОтветитьI think of bunch of dim blokes are going to think they’re race car drivers now, try this and then trash their wheels.
ОтветитьNow try that with a Porsche😎
ОтветитьMaybe the tires were warmer at the end hence the better times ...? You should have done a lunch control test at the end as well when tires are fully warmed up!
ОтветитьBEAT the machine(Launch Control) with an automatic gearbox 😂😂😂
ОтветитьTest 2 identical cars, with the same engine, but one with automatic transmission with launch control and the other manual (3 pedals).
ОтветитьThis is dumb cos technically the launch program is created by humans lol
ОтветитьI guess He burned a reasonable amount of fuel between each tentative making the car lighter. Wouldn't it be a factor to be considered ?
ОтветитьSo with launch control, more power and 30 years of progress, it just nudges the Maclaren F1's time of 11.1 seconds. I'm disappointed.
ОтветитьGran Turismo license test IRL
ОтветитьFerrari & Lambo always give fake data (perfect condition). They can do 0-100km/h in 3.1s they usually write 2.7 on internet. That’s why Porsche and McLaren are always quicker, because when they do 0-100km/h in 2.3s they write 2.7s on internet.
ОтветитьA duel "human VS computer" is actually a duel "human pilot VS human mathematicians" ^^
ОтветитьMotec has a system similar to this. Mod Bois we up!
ОтветитьIt doesn't do 10.1s quarter mile. Watch carwow videos
ОтветитьIt was enough to ask, not even a need to do such a test.
Ответить
