I held off buying the SP when it's hype reached its zenith... i also suffer from gas... but I I just bought one from ebay last week at a good price so I feel good about it :D.. nice vid.. I have a bunch of synths and guitars and I am looking forward to sampling them and creating stuff .
ОтветитьLoving these videos!
ОтветитьHows the Sp for 8 months? I never use any SP before i only have mpc live2, and planning to buy this. But as a beginner do you think the learning curve is complex?
ОтветитьI feel you.
Ответить🥳
ОтветитьHow did you hook up everything to the ableton push ? I wanna buy the SP but don’t know how to set it up.
ОтветитьWow! That's a phenomenal track. Thanks for sharing it.
ОтветитьThe GAS is real!!
Also Deluge has a new screen now 😀
I literally just watched your video about what you kept/sold from 2021 and was distressed to hear that you sold the blooper pedal (one of my favs!). Now I see it on your desk, couldn't keep away from that thing hey? 😀
ОтветитьIs a 404 mk2 review on the horizon? ! Excited to watch/hear your thoughts nd see examples of different kinds of music made with the mk2! Mine is on its way after snagging the seemingly last one in the EU this month. Unfortunately, Just found out it doesnt do live looping really - or at least not very good presumably. :s hope Roland makes an update that would make live Looping easy as that is the biggest difference between the mk2 and all the other options as I see it, if it truly can't do it (well)
ОтветитьGreat video. Worth mentioning that the skip back time has now been doubled to 40 seconds recently with an update 😁
ОтветитьI Love the SP404mk2 for the same reason I fell in love with BM3 on ios, I use it as an instrument . But the mark button OHHHHH 🙀😱
ОтветитьI loved you in Nights of Cabiria
Ответитьcan you export stems from this device?
ОтветитьMore sp 404 mk2 please.👍
ОтветитьAfter 7 months, mines arrived yesterday. I can totally relate to the honeymoon phase right now. Now to decide what I want to make with it first. The “mobility” of it in the lab, definitely makes it easier to be inspired with all available options. At this point, I need to just relax and enjoy any happy accidents that happens along the way. 👍🏾✌🏾✊🏾
ОтветитьAwesome
ОтветитьI want to get more into making music, and the 404mk2 will be the centerpiece of my setup. I want to pair it with a keyboard, but Im confused... Some say I need a synth (I was originally just thinking a midi keyboard), but Id like to be DAWless as much as possible, so a midi keyboard wont work? Synth just seems so advanced :P So far my "studio" is just DJ turntable setup with Serato - but I want to make my own beats to scratch and rap over!
ОтветитьWhat's up TMS! Kinda bummed I have to be your 421st Like on this video, but somebody's gotta be the one I guess! 😛 I barely use sampling at all so my experience is very limited, but I've yet to need a graphical representation of the sample waveform for any reason other than chopping off the beginning and end. For this reason, the blocky waveform gfx of the Deluge didn't seem like too far a step backward for me, the resolution seemed high enough for my purposes. In practice I also have a Rytm and I seem to prefer using it for editing my samples, not because of the screen, but because I'd rather trigger them with the Rytm and so why not record & edit them there too. (I generally don't loop samples, just use them as one-off's, and the Rytm's pads are perfect for this type of riffing, it has nothing to do with the Deluge's capabilities). And so I still haven't really tested my theory about the Deluge serving adequately as a primary sampler (for somebody who doesn't put very much emphasis on sampling). You do seem to have an opinion however lol! I know you prefer something with a higher screen resolution, but would you go even further and say the Deluge grid as a sample editor is unworkable? Do you find it simply not as effective, or downright maddening? I guess I'm trying to get a sense of the degree of your preference lol! Thanks buddy 😁
Ответитьhow did you get yours? Mine has been delayed until September. I ordered it in December of 2021...
ОтветитьIt was great watching you have fun making music with this setup.
ОтветитьI'm hoping mine comes in this month from pre-order..... Very nice track too. Thanks for the tutorial.
ОтветитьMusical calculators are in.
ОтветитьHmm tempted to replace my Blackbox with this. Any comparisons?
ОтветитьI like the sound you created but you could do this on Maschine, MPC or the Push too. but I agree, I like the little unit you can bring with you, it makes you use it a lot more. at least I would, a mini Maschine Plus would be cool
ОтветитьCongratulations, still waiting for my Honeymoon stage ...
ОтветитьI wonder if Roland is planning to put a step sequencer like the one's in Maschine or the Mpc(using the pads), that way you could easily step sequence or shift notes (I do not own an sp404mk2 ). I also completely agree about the Deluge, if it had a screen (and perhaps a master bus compressor), it could be game over for most machines 😁
ОтветитьYou play cool Live with Push2 and nice guitar with sausechief pedals.... what it has to do with that calculator in a middle? ;-) Enjoyed! I’m digging it, I like it!
ОтветитьAwesome video showing how it works with Ableton and being portable. The skip back function is cool as well. Btw what are you using as a mixer and audio interface
ОтветитьGood video.
I like to use koala sampler. Its great alternative.
Pretty sure Victor Wooten was talking about a bassline, not a lead...
ОтветитьYOU TOOK DOWN YOUR POST ABOUT THE OP-1 FIELD. Omg man... you broke my heart. You stood up, spoke truth to power, and then... you caved... you deleted your own honest feelings, which SO MANY OF US SUPPORTED. I feel really let down by that decision. Could you please make another video explaining why you did that?
ОтветитьI've been waiting 6 months for a unit to be shipped. I hope perfect circuit hooks me up soon :)
ОтветитьI totally agree with you! The Mark button is my most used button. I hope it never breaks😅🙏
ОтветитьPlease people i need your help. Polyend tracker or sp404 mk2 to play live with a guitar?
ОтветитьI was just watching the video about what gear you had sold/kept. You were sad that you sold the other sp404 and couldn't get this one. This video happened to be in my feed right after. Glad you had a happy ending dude!
ОтветитьNice video. What happens to your OP-1F video?
ОтветитьGood stuff!
ОтветитьThat thing looks like a boatload of fun, glad you finally got yours!
ОтветитьGreat video as always. I've never been much of a sample chopper, but this is tempting to get me into it. Thank you!!
Ответитьi’d say all of this can be done on the push alone.
ОтветитьOk i ll watch this but it better does not give me gas…
ОтветитьYou can also use an Auto Pan with a 0° phase in Ableton for a pumping effect in a synth track :) not exactly the same as a compressor but you can quantize it and achieve pretty the same result without having a mute track for sidechaining
ОтветитьWatching this video made a great start of the day 👍
ОтветитьThe MPC AND Maschine mk3 are just so cumbersome as a sampler. Especially if you want to load up samples on every pad with samples and drums or whatever
ОтветитьYou're seriously not helping my GAS PROBLEM 😒
BEEN WAITING FOR MY FIRST OPPORTUNITY AND IT IS LOOKING LIKE JUNE
Congrats. Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Ответитьi still think the ghost kick / side chain thing sounds cheesy but it is omnipresent these days and a few credible producers have made it sound effective namely flying lotus.
