This quest should've gone different. I imagine a few quest helping out a stranger on their death bed and throughout you realize they were the last mantis like maybe u get there arch nemesis for them or find a lost offspring and then they pass on the mantle and reveal their base location and give you it andits contents. I didnt like that i end up the mantis cuz thlast mantis got her son/protégé killed on accident

Pro Tip: DO NOT PUT ANY WEAPONS ON THE WEAPON RACKS IN THE MANTIS! The interior weapon racks reset to their default condition upon loading or unloading the ship interior. ALL YOUR FANCY WEAPONS will go POOF!

I found it after I accepted a bounty mission from demios computer, went to the planet and on my way killing robot and spacers I found a note on one random npc. Don’t know how rare it was to get but glad I got it

I learned this and I was at 2 days 😂

Man, everyone makes a video about the obvious puzzle a toddler can solve but no one ever shows or talks about the hidden quest you're supposed to get if you don't hack the turrets computer. When you hack it, it triggers a data wipe on the computers (called scorched earth), and apparently you can get an extra quest if you don't trigger it. My saves before doing the mission were already long gone when I was told this was a thing :/

What happens to all my stuff on the other ship, does it transfer? Also what happens to the other ship? I’m new to the game and I’m trying to figure it out. I completed the quest already and I’m level 8 😅

This armor is not better than the one you can take without the key in the lodge basement.

I mamaged to just destroy the turrets

Easiest way to get past those OP turrets is to shoot one with the Boom Boom shotgun lol. That's what I did and it blew up all four turrets with one shot. No need to solve the puzzle.

I didn't pop the quest until 55hrs. After 1st temple. I spent 5 hours trying to pop it too. Used my parents wanderlust until I got razorleaf

Man what a horrible mission. Over and over. Trying to get through this but it’s not worth it. The game is just not very fun at all. Really bad story. I had to stop. Glad you gamers like it but it’s the opposite for me.

My guns disappeared when stored in the armoury why is it a glitch or

i remember this video a weel ago, now going back to it now I remember why the "Mantis" felt like something I knew and just went through it since my AI the lady from the lodge killed the heavy stuff
and I just ran by the turrets and opened the door after a dramatic turn of the turrets the first time..

I just wish the armor wasn't so fucking ugly

the quest is dropped from the first mission on the spacestation

This was the 2nd side mission I got and my first mission was a survey. I beat it by the skin of my teeth and left escaped with all the enemies in the shipyard because I didn't have enough health to fight them

I stumbled across the same pirate and is funny if you make him name all of his many kids

I just used the poison storm I picked up from neon to immediately get rid of the turrets. Also if you don’t get the stuff you want from the mantis armor then just quick save before you opened the case and continue going to that quick save if you don’t get what you want.

I’m so pissed, I’ve been playing starfield for about 20 hours on my game, I then set up my girlfriend on pc and she begins playing, within about 10 minutes of getting past the initial mission, she did some exploring and then got this quest, and is now an owner of the mantis! No fair 😂

So for the ones who trying to find the slate u will most likely to find it on the second mission of the story the old neiborhood in tht find any clues about moara mission. This will work

Instead of spelling out tyrannis go to the computer next to the stairs hack it and take over the turrets

Lvl 5 and the quest sends me to a lvl 30 world thats out of range for my frontier.....

Do it early what a laugh 20t high level spacers, near insta kill turrets, robots that eat 132dmg rivets like nothing, this is a fucked quest, thank god for quick save

Anyone else not allowed to do the puzzle without getting demolished by the turrets

Quick tip for the keys in the room. Quicksave right before and pop an amp you can literally run straight psss the turrets and click the button to open the door and then youll be fine

Did thus mission at level 8. I got the audio notes but didn't get the Tyrannis clue. Guess i was too tired. The way i did it: while exploring the base i found a chain gun crazy value for my level. 43k or something. It killed al the turrets in a few seconds. Also the lvl 20+ robots where dead in 2 second 😮.

So technically you don't need the password. I had not enough skill to hack thr computer to the right of the room.

Do you have to level up pilot skill for this ship?

You can also use Amp and run straight across the turret puzzle. Make sure to hit the button, and that will still disable to turrets.

I can't my companion to stop following me!!!

You can fall through the map in this mission!! So if you go down all those steps there's gonna be this part where is open and there's a body hanging over the railing if you walk over to the corner you'll just fall out of the map and not die and it'll just spawn over and over

Instead of completing the puzzle I threw 3 grenades and destroyed the turrets. You can walk straight over it and open the door lmao.

I got this mission quest early on. On the first planet, random badie. But i need to pkay longer because I can't get to Denebola yet.....😢😂

Do you have to register the ship once you get it? What happens to the frontier ship you already have?

How do i know where to find spacers im on my ng+ play throught and im lvl 30 so i should prob learn

I avoided the puzzle room full of sentry guns by drinking something that gave me xtra speed for a short time...hahah

Sooo....I found this on my own and had no clue that there was a puzzle there. I just shot the torrents down one by one.😅

Just so happens this was basically the first thing I did, pretty dope way to get instantly hooked

The razorleaf can be upgraded and although some if the asthetic will be different you still get thise encounters. Also it can be fast enough to justify making a kiting build that with patience will win any fight

I use the Mantis ship and armor when I want to be a bounty hunter

I skipped the puzzle just by using the ashta tamer to destroy the turrets.
