Insanely tight performance, the interplay between Andy Rourke’s bass and Marr’s guitar is spectacular

The first few rows are so mesmerized they can't move.

A guy I worked with at a stereo store in Charlotte turned me on to them, and I was totally blown away. Unlike anything I'd ever heard. And the albums were so perfectly sequenced.

Does it get any better than The Smiths in 1984?

A friend had a spare ticket to see The Smiths in 84 and as a hardcore punk I turned it down, one of my biggest regrets , as they became one of my favourite bands in later life.

A lot like Michael Stipe without Mike Pete and bill

Steven was a very lucky man to be surrounded with such greatness. He would have been nothing without Andy Jonny and Mike and never realised it.
