Very interesting car and very good review. The ride and maintenance on the older vehicles was awful. I hear people talk about the new steering and ride quality, however, no one can give me a relevant compassion in ride quality. I have owned S Class, E Class, M Class, GL Class, etc.... is the ride quality, comfort and space on par with any of these vehicles?

Being maybe the most expensive SUV on the market at $2110k CDN...the 550 has a starting prie of Just under %155k...not sure where you got your number....SHOULD have ALL the tech offered STD ...This G-wgon has the 360 Camera and reversing camera...I'm assuming it has the front as well? Didn't hear the guys mention "park assist" (auto parallel/perpendicular parking)...MB calls it PARKTRONIC...why is that not a STD feature on this SUV??? The buyer and driver will be the wealthy soccer mom more than Joe Nightcluber oddly enough. Nitpicks. Otherwise a SUV you don't want to see MB change.

Glad manufacturers ARE moving back towards boxy shaped SUV's (e.g. 2021 Jeep Graand Cherokee L, Land Rover Discovery/Discovery Sport/Defender....liked the discontinued LR4). The point of getting a SUV should be for the "haul-ability". Which means having the space in back maximized...can't if the rear window is sloped FWD as much as many SUV's have resembling hatchbacks).
