ОтветитьYour channel is gold.
ОтветитьDid you replace radiator? Concerned with traction battery.
ОтветитьAmazing stuff man, I wish there was a Hyundai/genesis channel just like yours ..top quality !!
ОтветитьCt200h 2015 ?
ОтветитьGreat job! I love watching you fixing things the proper way. Money well worth spent for the customer. 😅

Ответить☝️😏,, sounds like a Deal.. compared to a new car.. no rust. Looks great
ОтветитьPerfect!
ОтветитьIt definitely was worth it for the mechanic
ОтветитьDoes anyone know the head gasket part number, the newest revision?
ОтветитьWhere is this man located
ОтветитьI didn't know there was a Lexus version of the Prius.
ОтветитьIs incredible that he torn the engine down, and reassemble it. The car start and run. Just amazing.
ОтветитьI've never seen any auto shop/shop owner showing/record videos of his works....very very good! thank you sir!
ОтветитьI am a new user on the channel and I admire your technique and the way you explain the issues clearly and precisely, I could make a video to show the tools you commonly use to disassemble and assemble cars, all technicians have tons of tools but there is always a group of them that are the ones we use the most for different things, I would appreciate your teachings.
Ответитьwow. $6500 repair on a 2011 vehicle & a possible battery replacement in the very near future as well. yikes. no thanks.
ОтветитьGreat job well worth it, great job god bless
ОтветитьThis person sure couldn't buy a used car for $6500 with a new engine.....
ОтветитьSounds like coolant leak due to acidic coolant. This is why I change my coolant every 30-50K miles. I don't flush it out I just drain and refill. Seems to work for me since I've never had head gasket, hose or water pump problems.
ОтветитьI thought head gaskets were only a Subaru and Acura Legend thing...man, I had 8 Acura Legends over the years, all but one developed head gasket failure. It's such a terrible problem, usually takes the motor with it when it goes. Got very sed to that job and swapping engines....thanks Honda :D
Ответить20h x $60+ $1200 for labor
If you charge more, than you greedy as the awful dealers
Honestly. I would have just traded it or sold it...
ОтветитьMy brother put head gasket fix a leak in his Subaru and it worked like a charm, it is now 80000 miles later and still going strong, sometimes it works, sometimes it does not, every car is different..
ОтветитьDid he mean .015 thousands or .0015 thousand two different things
ОтветитьI recently purchased a 2010 Lexus 460 L from a private owner it was sitting in a garage not driven for awhile. The body & interior were perfect the engine started up with zero codes . Of course the control arms were shot , air ride needed attention, brakes . I got a PPI done . I had every item the Lexus mechanic found repaired or replaced Plus the 150,000 mile service for vehicle the total bill came in at 18,000..usd the vehicle now runs perfect. How much life do you think I will get out of the old girl.? I do take meticulous car of my vehicles
ОтветитьBrilliant
ОтветитьWhen you started at the engine bay and there is this absolute mess of hoses and wiring, I actually felt relief when I could see the coils clearly.
What an incredible story though; I thoroughly enjoyed watching every minute of this.
Glad I bought a Ford Hybrid. 2014 C-Max. No oil burning at all, or issues of any kind after 140,000 miles.
ОтветитьWhat is worth it ? No.. the car used costs around 10K and that's dealer price!
ОтветитьIt's worth it because this is an isolated issue. Not because the car is bad, the issue was the head gasket design.
The owner is very lucky to have your shop because most techs would just take his money, fix it without explanation and/or replaced the same bad gasket not an updated one.
I thought Toyota and Lexus owners say they don't break or have issues.Only North America Ytubers hype Lexus while everywhere else is just a Toyota.
Ответить2.0TFSI have oil issues and it’s $6500 to fix the oil problems
ОтветитьOn your viedo showing how the 4wd works on the Tacoma. You failed to show how to work low range.
ОтветитьWhat a cool car, shame that the owner had to deal with this repair but can't really ask for more from a 229k hybrid. Impressive.
ОтветитьJust don’t understand why people still think Toyota are reliable
ОтветитьA blown head gasket is almost always a symptom, not THE cause of a busted motor. I had no idea Toyota was using Prius engines in any of its Lexus offerings.
Ответить6500 job sorry am buying a new Toyota for 2 k down payment crazy
Ответитьwhats this car mileage ?
ОтветитьBasically, you're telling people what I've known for years. Toyotas are garbage, & the best place for them is the scrap yard, & buy a real car.
ОтветитьI’m sure you edit the part but, when you put back the flywheel. I seen that you hand tight the 14mm bolts and put the cover over it.
ОтветитьI missed the point int he3 video where you determined to replace the block. What was the reason since the head gasket was the issue?
ОтветитьMy Job is to mechanic and SCAM every customer and squeeze. this piece of crap earns more than IT guy.. this is stupidity to the next level.
ОтветитьThe more i watch the more im impressed by your talent and honesty 👏
I bet there was a bent rod too best thing to do with these engines is on the first start up rattle ever immediately take the o ring off of the expansion tank cap so the system can't build pressure and push coolant into the cylinder nearly as easy when shut off until you can check it thoroughly and make sure that's the issue definitely not a long term solution it lasted me about 2 months. Just got done putting sodium silicate in it very carefully bypassing everything in the cooling system except the engine to prevent clogs and thoroughly flushing out every bit of antifreeze. So far the sealer fixed the leak and it runs better then it has in 6 months. Mine likely blown from the egr 240k miles never cleaned intake and cooler was plugged up bad. Lye and a pressure washer will make the cooler brand new. Oil burning was bad before i changed the pcv valve last year now it burns a quart every 5k vs 1k. A cheaper solution is a gen 4 engine swap if you don't want to do full blown rebuild
A simple way to check for the head gasket if your looking at a used one is slowly remove the expansion tank cap when cold if there's more then a second or two worth of pressure there's likely a head gasket leak it's like opening an unshook soda can vs a shook up soda bottle minus the mess. The other way is when you start the engine listen very closely to the dash you will hear a swishing like noise for a second or two if there are air pockets in the system almost always caused by a head gasket leak you will usually start experiencing this a few months before the first cold start rattle these engines typically give you alot of time and warnings before it gets as bad as the video if you know what to look/listen for
I just wish my wife and kid would watch videos like this. They are absolutely clueless about cars and don't understand basic maintenance. My wife won't let me touch her car and I do all the work for my kid's car. Life can be difficult sometimes.
ОтветитьI'd buy a Toyota just to book an appointment with you to work on it. Yes you are doing it the right way. Thank you
Ответитьi cant find the cherry picker lifting wire. anyone has a link of that?
