So Ichibei is seen as evil for partaking in mutilating the Soul King and keeping the status quo of the current universe in check. Ichibei was there to witness Prime Soul King kill hollows which regressed the universe back into chaos...the Soul King was literally destroying the universe and hollows at the same time. It is through the sealing of the Soul King that the 5 Ancestors and Ichibei were able to create the 3 realms and bring about balance and peace...the current cycle of life / death / rebirth. And y'all are mad at Ichibei for helping create the universe as it is now? Without Ichibei, there would no longer be a universe because it would have been returned to chaos and implode on itself.

I have come to terms with the fact that Squad zero members were promoted more for their innovation and indispensability to Soul society, than their martial prowess. They still remain the strongest Shinigami but boy did the Schutzstaffel clean them up like paid hitmen.

I wonder what Ichigo reaction would have been if he knew that ichibei was planning to cut him down and use his barely living body as Soul King. Would he have helped take down the Shinigami?

I have to believe that they are all alive and will have big parts in the next arc. It's crazy to me that these characters would be hyped up so much and we don't even get their bankai's. They must be saving them

There’s needs a bunch of prequels to bleach the original gotei 13 the the first fight between old man Yamamoto and leader of the quinces and many more the balancers creation of the zero division the possibilities are endless and would be so awesome to watch anime show or movie

lets be honest and not forget bleach was actually canceled by shonen jump i rember reading bleach when it was still ongoing and all of a sudden we got the info that there are 5 more chapters until the finally caught everyone of guard we can assume shonen told kubo during the TYBWA that he has X amount of chapters/weeks until bleach gets taken off wich would make sense while fights were drasticlly cut short left & right he didnt get the luxury like naruto to let THE FINAL arc play out the thought of canning a series in his final arc which is crazy in itself(if it was actually the final arc who knows cause there was potantionl for a hell arc) which hurt bleach funny enough mightve helped naruto cause kumo wouldve prob left kaguya out lol

So no other original or older bleach fan thinks this arc is lame, he's introducing cool characters and killing them off in a handful of chapters just to move what's left of the original cast forward! Cool but cheap almost a waste of time for manga fans

I honestly love ichibei. He isn't human so his morals obviously aren't the same as he's basically a minor God. While not right for Ichigo you gotta think what's one life compared to all of existence

To me, Ichibe represents the concept of believing in necessary evil. To him, all the immoral things he might have to do are justified to preserve the world as it is, as he believes the alternative is worse.

I always thought it was stupid that you get invited to the guard for inventing one thing important to S.S, yet Yama invented TWO of them and didn't get in.

One of their earliest mentions was in regards to the Menos Grande, which was never brought up again. It could've been changed as the story evolved, but I'd like to think that Menos are the raw materials each of the Royal Guard use for their creations or major projects. After all, the nature of a Gillian is a bit like an Asauchi when you think of it. If they're used in the creation of shihakusho as well, then maybe the visual similarity between Menos and Shinigami isn't a coincidence. I could even see their nature as a blank slate formed from countless souls being used to create Artificial & Mod Souls
