Thanks !
ОтветитьI use a mouse with only 1200 DPI, but it goes up to 7200, but 1200 is what I've used for ages. It's cheap too, a $20 Inland mouse from The Micro Center, but it feels like an expensive mouse.
ОтветитьI'm so glad I watched this video. I was prepared from some sponsor segment but I didn't expect that Milkshake cover! LOL. Someone needs to bring that cover up and maybe start it as a YT short. Haha.
ОтветитьThe funniest part of that sponsorship is that I feel more inclined to visit their website now than I ever would have upon watching some random ad read.
ОтветитьDPI is a perfectly acceptable term btw. A pixel is in concept an infinitely small "dot", thus the name. CPI is just "Count (of conceptually infinitely small dots) Per Inch".
ОтветитьHaha 😂
ОтветитьLooked up this vid because I heard him👆 say it in a recent video… lol 8 years ago he says it’s a hype word.
ОтветитьAnyone else miss The Real World style Linus?
ОтветитьI know its an old video but why are his hands so yellow ?
ОтветитьThis look like linus tech tips
ОтветитьRESOLUTATION? Please clean up the typo.
ОтветитьGreat you are.
ОтветитьHow fast it reacts?
ОтветитьMy 600 dpi wireless Logitech mouse from 2007 just failed and Ibswitched over to an wired Dell mouse such as come with their desktops. Those are 1000 dpi. There is an noticeable difference and everything is running now without lag. 1000 dpi is good enough.
Ответитьyes but higher dpi causes less latency
Ответитьso true and very honest informative funny which makes it interesting to keep watching till the end lolx ............ in fact its the muscle memory that makes you perform better in games and reflexes with practice ......... one difference does makes diff and that is extra buttons cause mostly we use mouse with two buttons ........... so extra buttons improves your action further a step ahead in gaming ...... 2nd weight and ergonomics makes you feel comfortable in long hours play
Ответитьthx linus
Ответитьthanks i did not know that because did not read the instructions and through away it.
ОтветитьMy mouse has 7200 dpi
Ответитьhoiiii dady
Ответить8000 DPI is too low in 2022.
Ответитьluv u man
Ответитьmy mouse has 16k dpi
Ответитьfor me 1600cpi is sweet spot for regular work and 3200cpi for gaming
ОтветитьLmfao wtf
ОтветитьGuess he wont have so many mouse-brand sponsors after this viedo :DD He actually roasts them all!
ОтветитьYou should use the highest native CPI of your mouse in any game that has a 3D camera. Shooters, action games, 3D platformers, what have you. More counts per inch means a smoother camera. In fact, having a very low DPI will make games like CS:GO, TF2, Quake etc. almost unplayable because your camera will skip entire rows and columns of pixels, making far away targets virtually unhittable.
Sucks that everyone always forgets this really important detail. High CPI, low in-game sens = Smoother camera. Low CPI, high in-game sens = Pixel-skipping, jumpy, stuttery camera.
should i press DPI Button on my mouse
ОтветитьIs 12,000 dpi good
ОтветитьDude the foreshadowing tords the end of the video for today's crap that is happening.
ОтветитьWell I'm not buying fractal design again
Ответитьi am that high sensitivity guy
ОтветитьI use 9150 dpi so if it’s under 12000 dpi I can’t necessarily get it because if I go down it makes movement slower and if I go higher it will make it harder to be comfortable with
ОтветитьThis was more of a rant than informational video
Ответитьyou are awesome as hell
ОтветитьConclusion:
DPI = Sensivity
thank you I needed that tonight
ОтветитьCounts.. 😂
ОтветитьGreat way to explain things, love it 😊
ОтветитьI got CPO 🤖
ОтветитьHis Milkshake doth teach me things in this 2021 future 😩🥣
ОтветитьI never go more than 800 DPI on my 7200 DPI mouse.. 8 million DPI is only the market shit 🙄
ОтветитьHow it's possibile that this didn't became a meme base ?
Ответитьmore CPI would still give you more precision, always, and I think that extra precision very much compensates any added noise
the really maximum CPI you can get if you play many games is around 1600, some games just don't have enough freedom of sensitivity in-game to adjust to higher DPI
on some sensitivity in some games even 1600 couldn't reach desirable sensitivity
