Ответитьwhen I'm copying the github resources, I get an error message saying that those files have properties that cannot be copied. how can I fix this?
ОтветитьTook me a couple hours but i got it done thanks for the simple video
Ответитьno workie
ОтветитьI cant thank you enough for this tutorial. concise Chapters, and straight to the point steps with specifics to help users be able to really follow your tutorials 1:1
unfortunately windows doesnt have TRIM for sd cards, cause after a while, my 128GB Sandisk extreme card has began to stutter and extremely slow down after weeks of seamless performance. If you do have tips on how to fix that issue, would defintely love to know!
The Resources for the Drivers state, that:
"Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Audio drivers for Windows on Steam Deck OLED are currently being worked on, and will be available soon."
So i'm assuming this guide currently doesn't work for the SteamDeck OLED, correct?
a year later and this video was so helpfull
ОтветитьSwicd doesnt work
ОтветитьI think high endurance SD cards are the way to go for this. I have not had problems with the ras-pi using these for the OS. I think however it might be much slower for sd-cards but they do seem to work well for read-writes.
Ответитьthanks for this
ОтветитьWhenever I click start in Rufus, it gets stuck on "Requesting disk access"
ОтветитьCould i use this as a computer? Like for mobility? Bc i want to use for like drawing. Would have downsides? Like speed and all of that stuff
ОтветитьWhy cant i run destiny, wz2, dead by daylight? On my windows 10 steam deck? Someone help please! For warzone says i need some shader thing or some new to PC’s
ОтветитьUsed This so I could play geforcenow on my deck. It’s amazing
ОтветитьIs not letting me extract it
ОтветитьCan I do this on Mac?
ОтветитьIs it possible to install it on a 32gb sd card?
Is it enough?
How to get back to steam os???
Ответитьthis is a tutorial, not the shit ive been watching
Ответитьhow can you switch between the different OS? I want to keep my sd card in my steam deck at all times so would I have to manually go into the state where you switch between micro sd and ssd each time?
Ответитьso do I download ALL of the drivers?
ОтветитьWhy I can’t find my sdcard at boot options
ОтветитьWouldn't that burn out your sd card?
ОтветитьGreat video I was wondering accouple things that i hope you could answer first is it still running smooth I heard alot of people say that it will basically burn out the card rather quick like with in a year have you come across any issues? two are your games also saved on the same sd card if so what size do you recommend for the process? and last I don't really follow a lot of the news has there been an update in regards to official dual booting that you mentioned?
ОтветитьNow how do i switch back to the seam OS?
ОтветитьFor me, it is better both steamos and windows in ssd, if you have bigger storage capacity
ОтветитьI wish I installed revios on my 64gb internal. SD card is okay and revios is much better and stable and with noticable performance improvements but I have this one issue. After running it for long time or downloading like I was downloading a game for 8 hours and when it started the verification process, it estimated 3 hours for 70gb and disk usage was 70mbs. Not only that, the windows itself awfully slows down and I have to restart and the it says 700 usage, 15 mins estimated.
Feels to me like thermal throttling but I don't see any reason for deck to be hot.
Sd cards I use are both samsung evo recommended, a2 u3 v30.
Steamos has zero duckin issues verifying and working long hours, even playing at higher temps, demanding or not so demanding games, it's quiet and everything.
I notied windows doesn't have the hiccups and freezes that much or not at all in some games compared to steamos, even tho it's running from sd card. That's why I decided to use it when needed.
Do you recommend installing windows 10 on a sandisk a1?
I'm using that sd card and it runs kinda crap.
Tip: If Rufus cannot read your SD card, try pressing Alt + F in the Rufus window. This worked for me!
ОтветитьDoes anyone got any problems with the sd card bricked by the steam deck ?
Does steam os from internal memory can use the sd card to install games ? Thanks
Can I ask if anyone experienced performance issues running windows 10 where its hotter and performs poor with sandisk extreme microsdxc?
ОтветитьOutstanding video tutorial; thanks!
ОтветитьDo I have to choose every time from where to boot when starting the deck (when the sd card is in). For instance when windows restarts due to updates?
ОтветитьWhy the hell would you want to use windows when GNU/Linux is already preinstalled??
Ответитьas a person who love using windows 10 this handled console is looking so good, that trackpad too!
ОтветитьDo I have to buy Windows?
ОтветитьAre there any games that run on both Linux and windows that'll play better on windows?
ОтветитьThe main reason I wanna run windows on my steam deck is so I can play genshin impact. And I don't wanna get banned 😅
ОтветитьThis worked great getting windows going. But when it comes to the controller i think I'm confused. Having steam open (and controller app set as suggested) in the background while playing diablo 4 through battlenet to test it out was a mess. I shut down steam, and then everything worked as it should except i wsd unable to bring up the touch keyboard when needed for stuff like creating a name. I've watched this repeatedly to make sure i wasn't missing any steps. Anything i could try to have full functionality?
Ответитьwhy Bluetooth wont connect
Ответитьdo the driver files need to be compressed when you get into windows for the first time?
ОтветитьI format it on rufus but there is no option to what Windows 10 I want. I go with the default whatever it is and then I put everything into a folder after its done and windows has been put on there. Once I am at the part to put the card in my Deck I do. I boot the SD on the Steam Deck and then I put in my windows 10 key; it takes me to a page where there are choices to partition on very small choices; i believe its attempting to force me to download Windows on the actual SSD not on the SD even though it is booted from the SD. What can I do?
Ответитьyou skipped the load time on the steam deck when it said "getting ready". it would be nice to know how long you wait in this window.
Ответитьthe link to the drivers , the website it leads to i think deleted that post
Ответитьwith the 256 gb sd card, how much space is free to install games?
Ответитьthanks for the tutorial. do you know why my right trigger causes the steamdeck to scroll, for example i cannot connect to the internet because when i press right trigger it scrolls to the bottom of all the networks and clicks the bottom one for some random reason. any help much appriciated (this also happens in all options and menus like the start menu
Ответитьam i the only one that has to wait for getting ready for so long (it is still loding)
Ответитьwould i need a USB driver if i were to plug in a flash drive and use it as extra VRAM ?
ОтветитьFollowed the setup exactly but I can’t play any Xbox windows games, all steam games run fine tho
Ответитьmy card reader is working for games. I have a card that booted before. Now it doesn't. The manager doesn't see the SD card. It does have like 4 lines, including 1 for IPV4 and another for 6. I see when you boot, you see the card and the hard drive and that is it.
