I have 2x27" monitors, and find that having the laptop on the stand in the middle, and the two screens angled in slightly works for me. I have my email open in the middle, chrome / web based stuff open on the right screen, and excel / PPT / app based etc open on the left. This allows me to turn slightly and focus on the job in hand. If I'm multi tasking, the angles are slight, that head movement is minimum.
ОтветитьDual setup: One large main monitor straight in front with a smaller one either to the side or stacked above for videos while gaming, music while working, and other background stuff.
Triple setup: one straight in front, another stacked for background videos, and one vertical to the side for music, reading, general browsing, and whatnot.
David, this video is excellent. Seriously blown away. That is all.
ОтветитьI just set up my 2 16:9 monitors in a 1vertical 1horizontal setup.
... it's not about reading more code vertically
... it's about not creating a whiplash having these 2 monitors in a horizontal setup (which I've had for +10 years).
... and so reducing horizontal movement of your head and eyes.
I'm glad I've discovered the 1v + 1h ... now I finally have a center screen again.
Of course... a 1x 21:9 or wider monitor is probably better
... but at the moment don't want to pay for one.
Also the use of fancy-zones is crucial to me
... I've got many overlapping zones derived from the default 16:9 and 4:3 ratio's.
... very handy
Thanks for the video!
Great video
ОтветитьCan anyone let me know how to how to set up display setting 4 1 monitor is landscape and the other is portrait ?
ОтветитьI've got the top stack setup, using the top monitor for reference material, films and music so i'm not having to use it constantly as you do your main, 2 x 27" on a small desk as i have limited space works really well, ive also wall mounted my speakers to free up more desk space
Ответитьi have a 32 inch tv as the second portrait and main is 24 inch landscape but im thinking of upgrading to a 27 inch 1440p monitor
ОтветитьI have a curved ultra wide and a 32” flat. There is no configuration that works
ОтветитьYup, I agree, other than ultrawide gaming, 3 monitor doesn't make sense to me. my big main monitor and one adititonal potrait monitor on my right is just enough to overwhelmed me sometimes
ОтветитьI think dual 24 monitor should be better.Ergonomic issues could be solved or alleviated.
But 24 inch monitor only good for working, not good for entertainment.
Thank for the video, didn't find anyone else who just even show side by side vertical monitors, cool!
ОтветитьI'm a 2 stacked, with 1 vertical next to it, one for games, another for content viewing while gaming, music, reference material etc and the vertical for discord, coding, and stream chats
ОтветитьSo basically the answer is 1 display with laptop off to the side lol.
ОтветитьThis is better than c2 or c1
ОтветитьI'm going for the ergonomic double land scape set up you showed, however I'm looking for a dual monitor arm that permits it. Any ideas of where to get one?
Ответитьwhat would you do if one monitor was bigger than the other?
ОтветитьI'm broke af so I'm thinking on sticking with Alt Tab for now
ОтветитьHi can you help me. My mouse direction in second screen portrait mode monitors cursor goes vertical
Ответитьto fajnie masz
ОтветитьVertical Monitor is optimal for video editing workflow - mainly because you have your BIN open in the vertical side PLUS any asset folders or windows alike - Center main monitor gives you all the same for timeline.
Ответитьme with 5 monitors with all configurations at once:
My goals are beyond your understanding
What was the point of this video? all you did was just move the monitors around and complain about every setup lol
Ответитьpoint them speakers at your earholes. your welcome
ОтветитьThanks now I feel one is more than enough for me, thanks for the effort.
ОтветитьI want to use this wallpaper on my monitor, please help me
ОтветитьI've found that my favorite setup is the dual stack for my desktop. Place the bottom monitor as you would normally, then the second monitor naturally falls into a nice secondary position. Great for writing college papers and a photography workflow. If I'm using a laptop I like having a monitor in portrait orientation for documents, email, music, and Lightroom in a pinch.
ОтветитьHas anybody used a curved 34 inch as a second monitor and a 27 inch (4k) as a primary monitor ? I can't figure it out if it's ok. Now I have 2 27, but I would need something like a third one...
ОтветитьDouble portrait stacked vertical is pyscopathic
Ответитьand what you suggest for a 15.6 laptop and a 21" ultra wide monitor?
Ответитьso basically stick one good display, lol
ОтветитьHi david
In case i have a 34 inch ultrawide monitor what monitor and position would you reccomend? Mainly using the ultrawide for 3d design and second one for other secondary stuff ( like messaging , media ,etc )
Thanks🎉
what about a monitor flat on the desk and the other on the ceiling
ОтветитьI like that stack set up where there's one on the bottom One solution I would use is just ditch the monitor and use my touch screen laptop
ОтветитьI like the stacked setup. Saves so much space on your desk for that minimalist look.
ОтветитьGet 49 inch curved monitor no line to see
ОтветитьMy favorite config. is notebook with a stacked horizontal (above) and 1 vertical on the side.
ОтветитьI just use A Tablet or 2 in1 like a Surface Pro or iPad Pro on the bottom underneath the main sitting on the desk, it’s a perfect size and a perfect place for a monitor, especially a Stylus/Touch screen so you can sign documents, edit pdfs, draw etc. been the best setup for me so far.
ОтветитьI prefer my current setup: two 27inch 2k 144hz monitors on the left and right(for chat, browser, etc.), one 32inch 4K 144hz monitor in the middle(for coding, gaming and watching), all using landscape mode
ОтветитьWallpaper plz
ОтветитьThe side by side def sucks if u have a smaller space and desk. That was my problem. So I started having stacked monitors with an ergonomic chair to always feel comfortable when looking slightly upwards. Not that I look up towards my second monitor often.
I think the main issue with ur stacked setup was that ur monitors are too low. And possibly ur chair
2 portrait screens could be good for programming, that's literally the only thing I can think of but I would prefer an extra wide screen and then just split my work if I want to see 2 sets of code at once.
ОтветитьAlso a good advice is to have a good mounting system. Mine is just good enough but clamps so hard on the table it is misformed (cheap ikea) and it barely holds the weight of my 2 monitors
