I Tried 'Mad Max' Again After 8 Years...

One thing that really has to be noted here is that it is one of the very few games that put their focus on two different genres. The driving and Racing and Car customarion is on the Level of a proper racing game while the combat and exploration is on the level of a action game like the dark knight games. Most games are good at one thing. For example GTA where the being on foot and fighting is good but driving just feels wrong

Well, you should try Rage 2. Its kind of a succesors without the Mad Max licenese and some more fine tuning.

There was something there, there just wasn't enough. Repetitive bosses, no weapon choice, vehicle combat is pretty okay. It was too much like Rage.

one thing that i really enjoyed with this game is the sidemissions where you collect parts for diffrent stations of a base so that everytime you return you can restock you supplies. But it also impacted the base looks and the npcs attitude against you. This made the progression feel more real and rewarding instead of you just caring for yourself.

Just bought the game 2023. Looking for any open world games w combat looting and customization. Can’t believe I’ve never tried this game until now. Lol waiting for it to download 😭

Im playing it now and enjoying it but im dissapointed theres no difficulty option.. I need the game to be a little harder

Start to finish and everything in-between is fun and engaging just an overall GOOD game

That game's open world is a horrible slog and the combat is quite tedious. There are good parts to it but it's a 3/5.

The only thing that's missing is a New Game Plus. Like why they didn't add it?

This was the first game I ever played on the ps4, great game it is, as well as the movies

Playing now on PlayStation 5. Quite a good game and enjoying it immensely. However, the controls are not great especially the driving mechanics. Paid $7 for it so well worth my time! I am now 60 hours into it and am about 80% done. Then had to watch Fury Road! Awesome pair of entertainment!

wish rockstar would redo mad max.... that would be fucking epic

I gave it a second chance after 8 years, but after playing 7-8 hours, I can just say it's not worth of my time. I've played many open world games, tbh here in Mad Max, world design is good, but the controlling is so weird, even when you eat to regain your health, or fill your water bottle, it shows cut scene every time, which is quite irritating. And combat becomes very repetitive, and in the map, it feels like I'm doing the same task over and over again, nothing new in the enemy camps.

I wanted to play this one and Conan Exiles. But they are do massive i cannot run them in the console.

This game was so good

The amount of hype I had as a teen when I saw the teaser then some time later the gameplay reveal, I was absolutely amazed, I wanted this game so bad, I got it when it came out and boy was it impressive. I was surprised no one in my friend group or even school talked about it, definitely an underrated gem!

even today, 8 months after th e release of this video, Mad Max , this game, still looks better than some of the games released now ( october 2023 )

I’m absolutely addicted to it. It’s a slow burn but once you start getting close to the V8 engine the games kicks in another gear. So, so good. Easily a 9/10

It's a great game, but what bothers me is that the subtitle size is too small especially when you're sitting far away from a TV.

When I played the game for the first time, I really thought it has accesibility options, but nope, nothing.

I revisit this game every year or so and it's still beautiful. They really did a great job of realising the world.

Rumours of a sequel are very exciting, but nothing other than the leak last year. This could be a perfect game, if they just add some longevity to it.

I'd like to see more customisation with the vehicles, maybe a Borderlands style loot system where you can always improve your car and parts are rated in rarity. I'd also love to see some abandoned towns and cities with more internal exploration, really open the world up.

The driving and car combat was superb, the on foot parts on the other hand...

Good news! Fallout 4 has been out for almost 7 years!

I just saw it for 6 bucks so I'm thinking I'll nab it

Mad Max 2 with a nemesis system and car bosses and raiding parties that grew stronger etc, my god I'm moist at the idea

I love this game.
Tho my biggest complaint with it is what would justify a sequel. The car customization is THAT deep. Most of it is just linear progression of improved stats. The only thing that drastically impacts your cars performance is the front bumper and armor.
I’d love to see a sequel that gives more depth to the customization and have everything else be just as impactful as those 2 upgrade categories.
