Mac OS X Leopard - Finder

Macs do not have much of an effect on PCs though PCs do effect Macs. On the other hand, OSX DOES create competition for Windows.

I rather own a copy of Windows over OSX. With Windows I get compatibility (and I can dual boot with another OS); with OSX I get a more expensive Linux/FreeBSD XD.

And what about other OS's such as GNU/Linux?

Mac OS X 10.0 was codenamed Cheetah. I believe Apple have registered Lynx and Cougar as other trademarks for the next versions of OS X.

What Power?. Apple simply branding ordinary PC as Mac. The hardware are same. The truth is Apple can't manufacture their own processor and graphic cards, so, they just change the image of the computer. My Alienware is better than anything Apple has ever produced.

Hey thanks god this is not true for se7en, at least at the beta which I tried, compared to vista I can say it is 70% lighter ! However we have to see when it comes out. I hope I will have switched to mac since then :P (but probably will still have my pc for games ;) )

Here is a secret, there wasnt supposed to be a Windows Vista, half-way when developing the next windows after xp, they decided to release a windows which is half-complete. Google this info, i am not bluffing. P.S.: Any operating system is fine, as long it gets your job done, Linux, Unix, BSD, Windows, Mac, Solaris, it doesnt matter. :)

I'd definitely have a Mac if Apple didn't put an "Apple Tax" of like 75% - they are so extremely costy and they can't upgrade. Looks like I'll go with a hackintosh instead. :/

When I say "Apple Tax", I mean the percentage they put on extra than if I would buy a, say, PC equivalent. I'd say it ranges between just under 70% (for MacBooks) to over 800% (some Mac Pros and their shitty headphones)

Actually Vista is eye-candy- AERO doesn't help you cover flow looks cool and actually helps by letting you view stuff without opening a program, although title-bar transparency on Mac would be AWESOME

Linux was released waay before Max Os X. The first Linux Kernel, or Linux operating system, was released in 1991. The first Mac Os X, Cheetah, was released in 2001. The old system, Mac Os, actually existed before Linux, but back then (1984) , you ran programs from floppydisks, and it had no chat system. The first chat programs were released for Unix systems back in the eighties, and Linux had a solid chat system waay before it existed in Mac Os.
