What is a Keylogger?
A keylogger(short for keystroke logger) is a type of malware or hardware device that records every keystroke a user types on their keyboard. Cybercriminals use keyloggers to steal sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, credit card details, and other personal data.

How to Stay Safe from Keyloggers
1. Use an Updated Antivirus & Anti-Malware Software
Install reputable security software like Windows Defender, Malwarebytes, or Bitdefender.
Regularly scan your system for malware and keyloggers.

2. Keep Your Software and OS Updated
- Patch vulnerabilities in your operating system, browsers, and software to prevent exploits.

3. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Even if a keylogger captures your password, 2FA adds an extra layer of security, making it harder for attackers to access your accounts.

4. Use Virtual Keyboards or Password Managers
Some password managers auto-fill credentials, preventing keystroke logging.
Virtual keyboards (such as on-screen keyboards) help avoid direct keystroke logging.
