I’ve watched all 4 individual reviews so far, now started this one. They have been very helpful to me, to try and help identify what I want. I’m not much of an intensive graphics gamer, so I figured video editing would be the most intensive thing I’m likely to use the lap top for. I had these ASUS models on my short list already.
In the Pro Art Studiobook 16 review, toward the end, there was a comment that it’s got the best current Intel laptop cpu, but wished you could get it with the 4080 to get the dual encoders. I was thinking the same before that comment was made.
Yesterday I noticed that the Legion Pro 7i can be bought (in the Uk at least) with a 13900HX (one step down from the 13980HX in the Pro Art Studiobook 16, but still 24 cores) AND the 4080 gpu, and at a comparable price point. So this may well be the route I take now.
For video editing purposes, assuming all other specs are the same and also same price, should be better to get:
13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900HX - GeForce RTX 4060
or
13th Gen Intel Core i7 13700HX - GeForce RTX 4070
TIA
How about a comparison between the ProArt and Omen 17 with the i9 and RTX 4080 w/ 64GB Ram considering they are about the same price…? Please?
ОтветитьBest bang for buck is a Russian
ОтветитьWhere do Macbooks stand in this comparison?
ОтветитьYou've been extremely helpful, thank you.
ОтветитьCan you do one for Gaming performance of laptops with RTX 4070 ?
ОтветитьI would really appreciate a video from you comparing the state of high end creator windows laptops vs apples offerings. You mentioned breifly here that the pro art is way better in multi core than even the m2 ultra which is very interesting.

Oh my, interesting! I am loving that Intel is kicking Apple's butt, especially as Apple now looks more like the subject of its famous 1984 ad than anything in the PC world does. Six months on, and no news if Apple will ever fix the bugs that make standard M1/M2 chips slug-slow at Adobe Denoise AI. Okay, Adobe has made the price of DNAI $500+ for an adequate GPU, but I will happily spend my $ on Intel/nVidia rather than depend on Apple listening to its customers. (Which, if it would do so, with frequent OS updates, could save the company.) Denoise is vastly important, and M1/M2 could eat Intel's lunch there on price (M1/M2 Mini).
ОтветитьI’d like to mention the elephant in the room - the AI.
Many creators are using AI tools available for them and will use more and more with AI expansion. Firefly is beta but it promises a lot…
I would really like to see your recommendations about hardware needed for running Stable Diffusion, or Adobe Firefly (yeah it’s cloud based so like Midjourney just Adobe recommended specs are needed and CC subscription)…and other tools if you find them interesting.
Anyways, I would like to see a video about AI and what hw can bring decent results while not costing us a kidney or both LOL
Like AMD Instinct Mi25, first - it’s not Nvidia, it’s working, it was 100$ used on Ebay, like Nvidia RTX series, like AMD RX or WS series…what can we expect so maybe we might plan to get some of that hw. 🤷🏻♂️
Renting cloud computers with much stronger GPU(s) as alternative (cost), there is a lot to be said and explained from creator’s (like you) point of view IMO.
THANK YOU 🖖🏻
Which is better for video editing & motion graphics (editing short videos under 5-10min) between HP VICTUS 15 Core i5 13420H 16GB RAM 512GB NVMe RTX 3050 6GB 15 inch 144Hz and ASUS TUF FA507RE Ryzen 7 6800H 512GB NVMe 16GB DDR5 RTX 2050 4GB? Will these specs be enough to heavily edit videos smaller than 10 minutes? (at least less than 5 minutes)?
ОтветитьHoping youll do a new best bang build series soon!
Ответитьno more laptops pls
ОтветитьI like the premises of that serie! One thing that would be valuable for creatives is to go beyond the ‘laptop’ categorie and start approaching it from a use case perspective.
Many of use already own a workstation (or two if we kept the old one around) - buying a laptop enables new workflows (working on location/ at a client’s) but a) it doesn’t live in a vacuum (workstations are still remotely available) and b) not all size factors are valid options ( if I’m lugging a 16’’ gaming laptop during a day of location scouting & actual work, it’s hardly practical).
I don’t know how you’d bring that to life but it’s an evergreen approach to looking at the available hardware in all sorts of contexts.
could u try out the intel Arc A770? could be a solid budget option for creators
ОтветитьThe display on the ProArt laptop though 🤌 Great vid my dude.
ОтветитьI have a M1 Pro MacBook and sometimes I use it for 3d modeling (games) and it's very fast even on high res models. I don't do much rendering so for me single core performance is king for most operations/software and now that most of 3d modeling software runs natively (u5 on apple silicone still sucks ass). I wouldn't recommend a Laptop to any 3d artist for games because whats the point of a laptop if you are forced to use it while charging on a flat surface for optimal airflow and to not burn off your genital, but after trying MacBook Pro in bed while sick and getting 85% of 1 day of work done on a single charge I think MacBook for 3d modeling isn't a self grief anymore. WIndows machines are more powerful and software compatibility is better but as a Workstation sidegrade I enjoy a MacBook Pro a lot.
ОтветитьI sent you a email. Thanks
ОтветитьThanks for another great video! Question, will these laptops run Win10 without issue?
Ответитьwtf? where are link for UK buyers?
Ответитьwhat is more important for normal videoediting? CPU or GPU performance?
ОтветитьThis is becoming like an Asus ambassador channel. Nothing wrong with it, but it seems rather limited coverage.
ОтветитьIn 14 Pro there is 16GB soldered and you can install 48GB in addition, so 64GB. But when workload with very high res video goes a lot over 32GB, then you only have half the RAM speed. Does it actually effect how many frames you drop in viewport, is the CPU encode gonna be half the speed? The iGPU may have reserved 512MB from system RAM, but when you set it to 32GB, will it offload more work from CPU to iGPU, or perhaps the software automatically asks more RAM for iGPU when it needs?
ОтветитьInteresting that Apple MACs were not considered.
ОтветитьMake a video for dedicated GPU please
ОтветитьThis is like Trio ASUS vs HP Omen.
ОтветитьSo good! i will pick up the pro Art 16, the performance and screen. this laptop is showing to be a good use for the next 1~2 years of use. thanks a lot
ОтветитьCool🎉
ОтветитьKeep the good work UP !! 🔥
