I enjoy nothing more in stellaris than economy management, so I'll never use it.
ОтветитьI have no buttons like this on sectors idk why
I am so lost
i discovered the usefullness of planet automation for my 57 Fortress worlds i conquered from Pops. My Fleet Capacity slowly rose from 2k to 12k over a span of 60 years
ОтветитьAI works..... HAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHAAHAHHAHAAAHAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAHAAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAHAHHAHHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HEH
ОтветитьI haven't tested this with a different play through, but I took HIve Mind with Progenitor Hive, and it wasn't building offspring nests to produce pops. Once I picked up cloning vats, it would build those; still wouldn't build offspring nests.
I'm not sure if that's a bug or a feature.
Is there a way to get it to upgrade all buildings? cant seem to get it to upgrade research stations ;/
ОтветитьSo this stockpile feature is not an option for 3.9
Ответитьi understand it now but man am i just tempted to just go back to starsector. This is so unnecessarly complicated.
ОтветитьA very interesting video! Good explanations of all crannies and nooks of automation.
I'll probably will never use all of it because it sounds that the automation itself must be micromanaged. :D
Thanks bro, your channel has helped me a lot. I just bought Stellaris the other week on sale and it's becoming one of my favorite games. I finally got a victory because of your guides, you the man bro
🤜🤛
so you need a Governor for every single Planet?
ОтветитьLOL at the intro
ОтветитьDoes it still work as of the new updates ?
ОтветитьGood job with all your instruction videos!
ОтветитьAmazing video, Montu...
Ответитьwide players be like:
ОтветитьI went back to the game after a few years with some friends who play a lot more than i do. They play on fast, so i just automated everything and the ai went insane compared to them.
ОтветитьQuestion, if you turn on the pop assembly automation but enact the "ban robot assembly" planetary decision, will it respect that and only build cloning vats if the building is available to it?
ОтветитьThe virgin Planetary Automation, VS the chad Obsessed Micromanager. (I micromanaged 68 planets)
ОтветитьJust started this game last night. Can anyone tell me how to even get to the settings but on console. Yeah sorry I'm a dirty peasant I'm not a part of the master race... Lame I know.
Ответитьay thanks for the video, sitting at 33 planets and it's... a bit much lol. This was the best explanation I can find, and now I'm feeling confident that using automation won't bork my empire up!

ОтветитьFinally! The day is here! Now I only have to fail at developing 1 planet instead of all of them.
ОтветитьNeeding to have unemployed pops was by far the most surprising.
ОтветитьIs there anyway to tell what the planet is best used for, have not played for a log time and am sure there was a way to tell
ОтветитьThis wouldnt be good for me in my game , because I dont have any planets with energy designation, so i had to designate other planets to energy instead of what they are supposed to do , im barely keeping up with 43 habitats , and ive used up every planetoid as use for energy habitats , and have also researched energy around 60 times.
My sprawl is doing great as i researched administration about 60 times also , I have one ecumenopolis designated to alloys, and loads of research, about 16k...im in year 2635, and trying to beat my fed leader so i can be the leader by bumping up economy , but every time i surpass him he gets by me again...thing is, he wont attack the other empires left , and if i use envoys to annoy them so they hate us my fed leader will put me out of the federation since i had to switch to supremacist stance in order to gain the military diplomatic weight to catch up with him , this game has had so many problems...however, i just found out how to bump my habitats from 6 building slots to eight, i missed one tradition out of the two that gives slots since i never knew at the time habitats get an extra slot for that.
Someone said you can get 10 slots, but even with , both research extra building slots, one of two tradition slot, habitat central controls and functional architecture i can only get 8?.
Have I missed something?
Hey does it work well on console?
Ответитьi sure do love abusing exploits in a singleplayer game where at any point i can open the dev console and type annex all
ОтветитьWell explained!
ОтветитьA bit of too much things required to do “automatic..” its like my car is Automatic but I need push it for 100km first.
ОтветитьDefinitely learned new things about the planetary automation. I tend to use it on my non core worlds once I've reached my personal micromanagement threshold, which is usually between 6-10planets
ОтветитьI automate my sectors by turning them into vassals after a certain point.
ОтветитьWhen I was brand new to stellaris, I had no idea what a district was, and I would make buildings that made only that resorse I managed to make humans revolt and form an empire,(I AM the humans) and I would turn automation on, and be confused as the queue filled with “city district”
ОтветитьI always used to have it active at first
Then one day, It decided to henceforth do nothing but build gas refineries
Suffice it to say my economy never recovered
Anyone got experience with automation on habitats as voidborne? How does the automation deal with unemployment when a planet/habitat is max built?
ОтветитьI really think the auto management needs another pass for the "set it and forget it" type of player. Half the time my empire runs multiple deficits using automation. However I don't really feel like doing micro for half the galaxy.
ОтветитьIf you set it up, this actually works. Unfortunately there comes a point where it starts lagging the game. Just when you want to use it most in the end game, it becomes unplayable...
ОтветитьI'm a new stellaris person, what was the problem with the sector automation?
ОтветитьConsole needs this baaaaaaaaad.
ОтветитьMy planets are unemployed, unhoused and stab is at 27%.
I fucking hate this game automation function, it does not automate
What about automated opening and closing of Job Slots? Especially as Gestalts, where I’ve spent a silly amount of time opening and closing Maintenance Drone Job Slots to get low positive Amenities… How well does that work?
ОтветитьYeah, sounds broken. I hope they fix that
ОтветитьThis helped me so much, I was stuck with stagnating planets after trying it out by myself. Did not know why they weren't building anything until you showed me how to allocate the recourses. Cheers mate!
ОтветитьUnfortunately for Tech World Automation, I've found that any and all "Tech Worlds" I create, I designate them something else. I am partial towards Generator and Mining worlds. This is because most planets have a solid amount of SOME basic resource. A size 25 planet would be a GREAT Forge or Factory World. But every single city district past like 6 maybe 7 is completely USELESS for research aside from IMO very minor pop growth reasons. Since researchers cap out at 6 jobs, AND you're likely only building 8 Researchers out of your 12 building slots. 1 For the capital, 1 for pop growth, 1 for amenities and 1 for Research Institute. Meaning you only need a total of 48 housing for the researchers. Most of your extra housing will come from the capital building anyway.
So to my understanding that it would just be most efficient to use a Mining, Generator, Agri- or even Rural designation would be better than a tech designation unless the planet is LITERALLY size 7 with no room for anything but housing. If a planet is size 16, with 3 Energy 3 Mining and 3 Farming, I might as well just make it rural, or whatever I feel like I need most of/planetary buffs, and then build city districts and research and more or less micro the new districts and buildings to my jobs needed so once the planet fills out, I have an above average basic resources income while also having great research. If I wanted to get really crazy I could build industry with what's left over if It's an even larger planet.
Please let me know what y'all think, I'm always welcome to feedback. For anyone wondering why I use the Forge/Factory designations, it's because 1 industrial district baseline uses 12-16 minerals. Whereas one science building baseline uses 4 consumer goods. So for math reasons 9 Industrial districts and 1 Forge Building will use 120-160 minerals, saving you 24-32 minerals from the 20% reduction. 10 science buildings (which is 2 too many for pop growth, amenities and the research institute) would only use 40 consumer goods, and the designation will only save you 4 consumer goods Scale that up to all upgrades science buildings and it's 120 consumer goods, and it will essentially never be higher and 10 was already unrealistic unless you're using clerks for amenities and don't care about pop growth buildings.
That trick to automatically build industrial districts at the cost of energy seams like a great way to prepare a world to be turn into an ecunemopolis at a discount.
Also, I think this would work well with exploiting deficit situations approaches. For example, having a mineral deficit alternative approachs allows you to sacrifice 25% of your cg and alloys from jobs (effectively 35% since the deficit also gives a 10% debuff) to save 50% of their mineral upkeep. That's not a bad deal really, since it means you can have very few minors and to put more pops into metallurgy instead. The problem with that is that without minerals income, you can't build anything. But from what I get here, as long as I can keep my minerals in the positive temporarily for months at a time, I could build things with energy instead. Very nice.
