It must be so nice being able to buy a classic car out there and find like zero rust on it. Same car same age in the UK and you would be able to see the road through the floor pan in multiple places and the sills will literally fall off if you look at them wrong 😂
ОтветитьDo a landscaping vid. Give your property some love so you can store your cars outside better....
ОтветитьWhat’s with BMW & plastic engine parts?…Love the vlog…Congrats…
ОтветитьUmm that e30 will be way too tail happy, better look into suspension and brakes as well as a roll cage.. E30s dont behave well in a roll over..
ОтветитьI’m gonna need lots of 80’s vibe tracks on this project… just sayin 👍
ОтветитьI bloody love the e30. Do an m3 body and wing 🤤
ОтветитьGreat project. Just change the bumpers to euro spec. They look much better.
Ответитьthe bolt breaking on install was best case scenario for sure. Definitely something not right about the bolt
ОтветитьGreat job Matt👏🏻
ОтветитьU forgot to use assembly lube.
ОтветитьExcited for another build!
ОтветитьGreat new project... Anything but them stupid truck wheels 😂
ОтветитьARP head stud washers need the bottom of the washer to be sanded to prevent spinning. When the washer permits the nut to spin it throws off he torque. When you call ARP they’ll tell you this but they’re not smart enough to include instructions to tell you to sand the bottom side of the washers.
ОтветитьI guess this is the new car huh 😂
ОтветитьMatt, with the engine crane hack, you have to wait a moment after you’ve pulled the jib up before you tighten the valve. It gives the fluid time to move. Then it won’t drop down when you let go.
Keep up the great work! 💪
Awesome BMW content, Matt!
Great editing with demonstrating the hard work you put into it!
Some really impressive wrenching! Well done! :)
Looking forward to more!
You did two Porsches...now do two BMWs. This E30 and get that gorgeous M3 rebuilt
ОтветитьThese are getting rare. That being said everything on that car is so expensive now. So restoring it is not going to be feasible. I applaud you for doing this.
ОтветитьFinally!!!!!😊
ОтветитьAh, nice “this is not good” moment! You have 9 lives and have used 10 of them. 😆
Ответить🔥💪🏾🤙🏾
Ответить🔩🔩🔩🔩🔩👍🏻
ОтветитьAnother fantastic video Matt! We were all wondering when this project would get some spotlight!
ОтветитьHey Matt, a new video and a “New” to us car! As always love the videos and the work you put into them for us! Have a great weekend!
ОтветитьFYI, a little tig welding would repair that head and having it resurfaced after. It would not be a scrap head. (For future reference)
ОтветитьI think ARP QC isn’t what it used to be. Had the exact same thing happen when doing my M50, snapped one and two others stretched beyond spec. They were brand new and ARP sent me replacements, but it still sucked. It snapped low on mine so we had pull the head and start over
ОтветитьThis is gunna be an awesome series👌🏼👌🏼
ОтветитьI’m into this build. As a teenager in the 90’s a friend had a 1987 325i, lots of fun with that car. My 1992 Eclipse GS could out handle it, straight line speed was the same!
ОтветитьThat is one clean E30
Ответитьsweet
ОтветитьGlad to se you're fixing up the e30. Nice choice on engine, fun task ahead. Done and doing this all the time. Great channel.
ОтветитьCool project! Always liked those Beemers!
ОтветитьAll hail the torque wrench! Bet you didn't forget the license plate or recieve any complaints about your truck's wheels this video (never mind the broken stud).
Ответить75 ft/pd? That's a little too much?
75 with cutting rings?
Some studs dont need grease
ОтветитьYou are overlapping with another builder I love, StanceWorks! Not a BMW fan, but I do respect them.
ОтветитьI'm actually in the middle of reinstalling the head on my S52 but accidentally installed the cams with the engine at TDC. Broke an expensive supertech valve and possibly a spring 🤦♂️
Ответитьwhat pistons your block has
ОтветитьHigh-tensile fasteners can suffer from hydrogen embrittlement, depending how they were stored maybe this was a factor in that one snapping.
ОтветитьBest worst case scenario on that head stud. You got lucky there lol. Turbo e30 is gonna be wild!
ОтветитьOn the snapped headbolt problem,
I saw you tried to clean up your threads with a bolt. I would always use a Thread chaser, turn de engine upside down spray it with brake cleaner and use the air compressor to dry and clean them. Seccond thing is using extensions and long/deep sockets always mess up your torque specifications… any way good work🔥
Forces self to watch non Porsche content to help the channel. lol
ОтветитьStoked about this build! Didnt even know you had this thing.
ОтветитьNow we defiantly talking some bmw content ❤
ОтветитьReally enjoy the channel and like how you show where things don’t go to plan as in the real world, don’t understand why you haven’t got more subscribers but think that will eventually happen.
ОтветитьLove the vids but miss the bloopers at the end!!!
ОтветитьGreat channel! I came for the Porsche content but enjoy watching all your projects. I predict a Cayman in your future 😆
ОтветитьBroski! Dude I can’t wait for the manual trans Gallardo reveal! Too bad you couldn’t swing the Balboni, but she’s a still a beauty.
