Спасибо Крис. Очень мило с твоей стороны. На ошибках учатся .😊
ОтветитьI like the way you took comments very positively. We all make mistakes and we learn from the mistakes :)
ОтветитьBtw, as far as I know (I consulted the dictionary), all of the following pronunciation variants of "gyros" are equally correct: /ˈɡiːɹos/, /jiːɹoʊs/, /ˈd͡ʒiːɹoʊs/, /ˈd͡ʒaɪɹoʊs/. But if you are looking for the most authentic Greek pronunciation, it's with velar fricative /ɣ/, not with palatal approximant /j/, but the English phonetic system lacks that fricative, so some people replace it with the palatal glide
ОтветитьI think you pronounced Armenian that way because you lived in Russia
ОтветитьI must say that after this video I trust you even more. Acknowledging your mistakes, learning from them and teaching the right way makes you even more trustworthy. I’m not a native speaker and these words I will probably never again mispronounce. Thank you
ОтветитьI love your taking revenge in such a great way! 🎉🎉🎉 Everyone makes mistakes in every sense. It's life, no one is perfect , and nothing is perfect! Life isn't perfect itself.
ОтветитьThai people can't distinguish between sh and ch sounds.
ОтветитьYou deserve a lot mr. Kris❤️👊
ОтветитьI don't know sir...making mistakes in a foreign language is totally fine, and many of the examples you shared, don't count as mistakes, because they are words from other languages...but...when it comes to one's native language...it is really embarrassing to make pronunciation mistakes...at least that's how I feel when I make mistakes pronouncing my native language...have I made them? of course! but it's really embarrassing, and I've felt the same way since I was a child.
ОтветитьAwesome, Kris! Just awesome 👏
ОтветитьRespect for you, Kris, for the acknowledgment.
ОтветитьThere's a pretty cool fact, I used to think color and collar were pronounced the same, and i thought many was pronounced eith an æ sound, even though i was wrong on the theory, when speaking I was saying them correctly, so not knowing the correct phonetics wasn't making me mispronounce those words...
ОтветитьThank you for this, I used to worry about mistakes so badly that it was stopping me from learning other languages, it all stopped when i gave up on gerund vs infinitives, it was so good for me I started to learn 5 languages after that :)...
ОтветитьThis was helpful, I feel a bit frustrated because of my English pronunciation but this makes me realize that even native speakers can make these mistakes and that no one if perfect and I should learn from my mistakes but not letting others make me feel bad about it. Thank you.
ОтветитьIn contrast to Kevin & Lisa and their fanatic hateful disciples, this is a waaay more grown-up and sensible attitude. Love it 👍💡
ОтветитьHey Kris! So, talking about açai hehehe I think you know that it is a Brazilian fruit and like other Brazilian Portuguese words with ç it's hard to pronounce in English:
Coração (heart)
Pão (bread)
Emoção (emotion)
Cabeça ( head).
Anyway, end of the Brazilian Portuguese class for free😂😂😂
God bless you, my dear!
In academic centers every detailed mistakes may be seen in details but in real world no body consider it ... every one has its own language and the freedom to speak as he feels as far as others understand it.
Ответитьgreat.
ОтветитьThank you so much sir 🙏
ОтветитьHello good morning sir 🌅

ОтветитьKris reviewing his own mistakes is definitely a turning point for me! That's an awesome idea 🔥🔥🔥
