Warning!!!! MAKE SURE TO GET A MODEL THAT HAS A SPARE TIRE!
Ответитьmy first mini van was a used 1995 Olds Silhouette. 9 years old when I bought it, ran like a Toyota of that day. The seats removed, and I transported an upright piano gifted to me a thousand miles to my new home. Then the auto industry introduced stow and go van seats, the seats literally disappeared into the floor! No more making space in my garage to keep the seats when I cargo'ed the van. Segueway to today. You could have knocked me over with a feather when you advised the Sienna cargo area seats are rigid and unremovable, in techno-heaven 2023 nonetheless! Fit and finish issues now. And water in the oil, we called that sludge in the 1989 Bronco II V6. From 5mph safety bumpers to no bumpers at all. Is Toyota in a backwards time machine, regressing and emulating the horrific quality and unresponsive nature of US Auto industry of the 1970's-80's? Unlike the scene in Gung Ho where Michael Keaton pretended to clean the non-existant Japanese sedan windshield his crew had just rolled off the assembly line, and the Japanese executive said to him "you makea me laugh"; I am not laughing at the descent from Quality Control perfection you receive when you buy a domestic-made Toyota today. Sad to learn.
ОтветитьWhat’s your thoughts/experience lifting a Toyota Sienna…does it cause issue with the drive train?
ОтветитьWould you be able to do a review on the 2024 Kia Carnival? Thanks in advance!
ОтветитьFantastic Review. Thank you
ОтветитьThis is the most eye opening critique from AMD. only a Gm, Ford or Chrysler owner would buy this sad sienna. No self respecting Toyota owner would purchase one😂
ОтветитьI’m so disappointed as I wanted to buy a new sienna. Cvt, 4 cyl, battery’s under the front seat no way will it see 300,000 miles.I’ll have to find a 2020 from an original owner😥
ОтветитьIf the 3rrd row seats are down why worry about them popping up. ? You will have cargo on them most likely. Why else would you have them down. ?
Ответитьdon't they use run flat tires on those, I worked for Toyota in 2014 and that's what they ran they didn't offer a spare
ОтветитьDown voted for being a click bait title. I watched thinking rhere was a serious safety concern and instead was met with low availability bs.👎
ОтветитьIts too expensive. Same with Pacifica. Kia Carnival has better interior design their most proven drivetrain for thousands less. Better day to day experience for less money.
ОтветитьI am 6'2". I have no problem driving the van, no head room issues at all!
ОтветитьSince the engine is incline 4 vs v6. I know in other videos you did mention that not a nice idea to go with i4 vs V6 for big car. Just needed your opinion or suggestions would hybrids be any different?
ОтветитьI actually want a fast start mini-Van lol 😅 having the engine cut off at every red light doesn't tickle my fancy.
ОтветитьSeems to me that the Kia Carnival is designed much better but it's not a hybrid and is a gas hog in comparison. But maybe there's enough cost savings on the purchase price to make up the difference?
ОтветитьWhat steps to take second row out? How can I silence or defeat any error codes or airbag issues? Will my dash Christmas tree? It’s a deal breaker we camp and haul sporting goods in our sienna
ОтветитьSuch a comfortable van! They just took the storage out of the rear, and removable second row seats, but made the front town (and seconf row too) seating so big and comfy!
ОтветитьFatal ?????
ОтветитьI'm so HAPPY to still be rolling in my 1998 Sienna XLE with 275,000 miles. It has atleast 100,000 to go. Such a good reliable ride ( only additive used is MARVEL MYSTERY OIL).
ОтветитьWhy would that big screen need to be bigger?
ОтветитьWow, impressive review. Very interesting to see the bottom of the vehicle. It is super clean. Thank you for walking through the vehicle thoroughly. Very informative!
ОтветитьBig question: I love every video that i have seen. Very comprehensive. Here is my question, I am thinking of buying one and removing the seats with a modular design for van life, only to take out the modules and put back the seats. Do you see any problems with the new one, the air bags, etc???? Thanks again for the great videos.
ОтветитьBrainwashed info.
ОтветитьHearing complaint about 6 to 12 month wait is kind of funny. Toronto canada. 5 year wait list!!! I would not mind getting one for family trips and running the dog around, camping. But 5 year wait is ridiculous
ОтветитьMy brand new Woodland edition fuel gauge stays on full for at least 200 miles, dealer says this is " normal" should I accept this, or they just dont want to put in a new sending unit or whatever the issue is?
ОтветитьAppreciate your reviews.
ОтветитьMan I need this van 😢
ОтветитьToyota, needs to experience a lot lost of customers ... for them to understand... this is America stand together let them fall.😂😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьThe Sienna is not offered on the German market. Hypothetically, we do have the Highlander and the Land Cruiser Prado, but those have been unavailable to order for the last 9 months or so. I am not talking about delays in delivery, I’m saying you can’t order one period. Toyota is a comapny that apparently no longer sells cars. 😂
Ответитьawd and hybrid .. I am sold. folding seats are least of my concern.. how often do you have to use that feature anyway? Rent u-haul for that one time you need to use that much space.
ОтветитьAbsolutely informative as always!
I found this video very appealing because I live in Alberta, Canada. So the problem with water condensation would be an issue here in our winter country.
And recently I was thinking of a family car but was not sure between a Sienna or a highlander. Now I have a better perspective on this car but I would still hope you could do a comparison of this car with a highlander and grand high lander to see which one would serve better as a family car.
Maybe I should look up your other videos? 😅
It’s very noisy / wind noise all over after 60 mph , have a xse 2033 mpg is excellent
ОтветитьGreat end to end assessment. Always appreciate getting "The good, the bad, and the ugly".
ОтветитьTo save you folks time, at the very end, he says the fatal flaw is no availability (and/or too marked up). While that is not a true flaw I won’t accuse him of clickbait because he gives great reviews. Just wish he didn’t make me listen to the full review before revealing the title information.
Besides, I believe the fatal flaw is the middle seat and is why I won’t buy one. It is not removable and does an incomplete job of getting out of the way for cargo and getting into third row. At least with my 2015 Kia Sedona, I can flatten the second seats forward against the seat backs of the first to do this. I would prefer to remove completely but understand this is a way to keep electrical intact for airbags, etc. Toyota should have done something similar.
BMW Supra 😂
ОтветитьI bought a 2022 Sienna it wasn't the color I wanted when I did the pre-order but that's ok over all I travel from the Midwest to the west coast a few times with my wife and two dogs and the rear cargo jam packed full off stuff and hauling supplies back home with no issues… now if you plan on using it as a truck for gardening or tool supplies I highly advise you buy something to cover the floor cause the carpet isn't so great… Its me very first minivan and I can truly say this van I love it alot
ОтветитьPULLED A BAIT AND SWITCH FOR VIEWS...CREDIBILITY ZEROED OUT...LOL
ОтветитьThis was very complete and informative. I have not seen anything so detailed. Thank you!
ОтветитьFit and finish is pretty bad, check out the tail gate material, gaps are pretty bad and top of that over priced.
ОтветитьSeveral things on the model are deal breakers for me, the permanent back seat, those cheap wheel, pay extra for a spare tire, nonexistent rear bumper, fit and finish. I’m sorry for that kinda of money Toyota needs to do much better than that. I
ОтветитьHas anyone else experienced their van randomly acclerating when you're breaking/slowing down? I've had this happened many times and it's scary.
ОтветитьI’ve just bought the Sienna Hybrid and happy with the power train, great gas mileage and the 600 miles range capability. Excellent headlights with good visibility, good handling for a minivan, very good safety features thanks to Toyota safety sense standard. I love the blind spot monitors, radar controlled cruise control, auto parking brakes, rear lane tracking assist and going driving instruments, Apple car play connectivity especially for music and Google maps. However the rest of the new van is a step back comparing to the previous Sienna generations. My family has 3 Siennas, a 2005 LE with 3.3L V6; a 2008 XLE with 3.5L V6.
The 2005, Sienna is the best design I got 325K still runs great; I love the timing belt of the 3.3L V6 extremely smooth and quiet running. I don’t mind replacing timing belt at every 100K miles.
3.5L V6 timing chain is too noisy and consumes slightly more fuel.
The latest Sienna hybrid’s only advantage is its hybrid engine with impressive 36 mpg Vs 19/23 mpg.
The rest of the new Sienna are disappointing i.e. seats Too firm, thin and flimsy.
Seat fabric is rough and uncomfortable. Middle seat of second row is a joke compared to 2005 (threat seat is for punishing someone).
Cup holders design is a joke because none of them fit my Bubba water bottles and they are positioned to black AC vents, and access to the climate control switches.
Inferior and in adequate interior lighting and taillights illumination in LE trim.
Extremely dim cargo area lamp.
Taillights illumination is just two small red dots.
Floor carpet is cheap and thin like Walmart after market.
Cup holders on floor for second row seats? Yuck!
Trunk is smaller than previous Generation Sienna and uneven cargo floor especially the tire jack really protruding and annoying.
Missing the electric rear vent windows. Missing the the cubby storage with lids in front doors for front passenger. Missing the footlights for second row when sliding doors open. Missing front door puddle lights (LE). Very cheap 3rd row seats that don’t fold down completely and won’t stay flat. Missing the power lumbar support for driver. Interior lamps not lit up fully when unlocking doors. Missing illumination on the look taillight assemblies on the rear lift gate.
Why 12V battery in cargo instead engine bay? Rear window glass area is too small.
AC is noticeably less powerful than previous generations. It seems have some issues with keeping up at high 90s temperatures and automatic climate control is annoying and take too much time to get it right not to mention adding complexity and cost.
Overall I love the Hybrid Sienna but Toyota must replace the interior/exterior designer team for next model refresh coming up soon in 2025. This new Toyota Sienna hybrid interior reminds me of the awful 1996 Mercury Villager, our first minivan.
Really? FATAL FLAW!!! Fix and finish could be better. Yawn.
ОтветитьHello . I’m fixing my 2022 sienna after deer hit and transmission oil cooler got damaged, oil leak out . How I can check fluid level in transmission. Can you help me or send me procedure? Thank you
ОтветитьWhen even the unreal estimated savings on fuel, or electrons, is less than the jacked MSRP plus dealer markups, what is the point?
ОтветитьCan the one sided muffler be replaced with a two sided muffler (a smaller one)
Ответить
