For my opinion in Russian Ukrainian war there are 3 main guilty 1. Russia (Putin) - occupied Ukrainian territory 2. Europe and USA used Ukraine to weaken the Russia. They used people and land of Ukraine with their media propaganda. Believe me in US, Europe and Russia nobody cares people of Ukraine, these countries have their own interests and they will do whatever they want in order to achieve their goals. 3. Zelenski - he stayed as a remote of US and Europe and did not care about Ukrainian people and he could not evaulate the situation. At least he had to understand that US and Europe will never fight on the side of Ukraine and will never join the war and they will not allow Ukraine to join NATO and European Union.

Why not compare these battles to Middle Eastern conflicts (ex. Syria) rather than just Europe & WW1/WW2?

There ARE images like this from both World Wars... satellites being present only changed the quantity and quality. In fact before and after most heavy bombing or large scale battles, reconnaissance missions were flown to photograph the area before hand.

It's also worth noting that the US/UK led coalition against the Iraqi military was of a comparative size, and went up against a force with much more capability both in terms of numbers and assets than the Ukrainian armed forces, and was still able to not only take the capitol, but do so without annihilating entire cities. By comparison the Russian militaries combat effectiveness has not changed much since World War II or maybe Korea, relying on many of the same tactics and in some cases the same exact equipment. They are not nearly as advanced as they've been claiming.

This video says a lot but teaches little. Prime example, there are several reasons beyond lack of power for the changes in night time lighting, as several powerplants have been repaired. The areas affected are all within range of Russian artillery and cruise missiles. Cutting the lights off at night or obscuring windows prevents easy target acquisition, this includes areas closer to the front. You'd also note that there is a thin area along the borders of other non-Russian/Belorussian countries, that shows lighting being dimmed or turned off. They are also within that same strike range, and have seen errant cruise missiles fly over or impact their own territories.
