Net worth, income, investments - Financial planning and goal setting for 2024

Great to listen to organized person such as Lydia 👍👏 explain her thought process about home finances. Even though I don't like money and even more financial products of all kind, one can't escape it 😂. My approach has always been to live relatively humbly in contrast to what I can afford to have abundance and reserves, so I don't have to care much. Instead of financial products, I've invested in land, home improvement projects (solar, heat pump, etc.) and our little ranch and it's not only much more pleasing, but in fact the value has risen so much that its better than most financial products available. So a lot different approach, but some basic principles explained by Lydia still apply, though often unwritten and unspoken 😊

Love the message! The goal that is not met, is the goal that's not set. I use Empower Personal Dashboard for my own financial tracking, it's free to use, a good alternative now that Mint is gone. My short term 2024 goal is saving for a house deposit, mid term goal is saving up the 529s for my daughters, and long term goal is retirement at age 50.

This was a great video! My New Year’s resolution this year was to keep track of all my expenses now that I have a steady income, so it’s nice to hear that I’m already on track to becoming more economically minded! I’m so early on in my journey to financial independence that I sometimes can’t help myself but look at my budget sheet every day, it’s exciting!

Have you looked into Codie Sanchez? She has me wanting to buy a business as well, but similarly I'm pausing that for probably 5 or so years while we focus on investing in short terms. Loved watching this - can't wait to see your business goal!
