I'm learning to not believe in the made up stories and my assumptions! As I'm finding out the opposite is the real stuff! Bad stuff doesn't always mean its that bad, or that intense! You are so good with explaining and not letting us feel alone and helpless!!

ОтветитьDoes this work if you have ocd? My negative and repetitive thoughts are ruining my life. I literally feel like I won’t be able to survive if this doesn’t stop. My heart and soul feels broken. I have severe ocd and it’s truly consuming me in every way I am terrified. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations that helped them ease their ocd so it wasn’t so severe and didn’t hurt so much? My thoughts are related to my loved ones and that’s why it’s so painful.. it makes me feel like I’m a weird person and makes me question my moral compass; although I know I have a problem and can’t control this. If anyone has any help or advice I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

ОтветитьBut how can you be sure that the things I’m worrying about aren’t going to happen? Just because I say to myself that everything will go well, it’s still possible that they won’t. I keep coming back to those thoughts. It’s like if I worry about it, I’m somehow lessening the chances of that bad thing happening. Which I know is not rational, but that’s how my brain works.

Again thank you man. God has guided me towards your videos and after a week of doing your affirmations I was feeling some weakness today. I somehow ended up here with this video and it helped me instantly. ОтветитьMy main symptom is daily heartburn but my tests were ok. It's 18 months of hell. It's hard for me to believe that's from anxiety. Ever hear of this?
ОтветитьI'm working on stopping the train of negative thought by first recognizing that it's happening, and then immediately trying to think of something else. I'm amazed at how much of my mind time has been spent on rehashing old negative situations, as if it could make a difference. It's such a waste to spend that much mental time on things I can't undo or can't fix. While I'm working on stopping these thoughts, I also have been spending time listening to audiobooks, when I'm doing an activity that doesn't require a lot of attention - like chores, exercising, and some hobbies. Instead of focusing on myself I can be entertained by fiction or learning about the world with non-fiction.

ОтветитьVery interesting - but you need to go further. None of your thoughts are real - we have to view our thoughts as a computer software warefault - like the horizon system.
You cannot trust your thoughts - so don't identify with them - focus on a sense of being and awareness instead 🙏

ОтветитьThis is true. I often focus on the opposite of intrusive thoughts and ideas that arise initially and most of the time the initial interpretation never comes true. Instead the opposite of that happens.

ОтветитьI had a really bad moment today I was helping a woman lift her pram onto the bus. I got mad fears that instead of grabbing it I grabbed the child and hurt them. It felt so real and was feeling awful. I have so much anxiety all day every day in work, on the train in crowds it’s like I have lost touch with who I am and feel like I can’t trust myself anymore. I think it’s GAD and OCD. I can’t even walk near people without getting intrusive thoughts. Any advice Dennis ?

I love coffee, yet i notice about a couple of hours of consumption, nervousness, air hunger, and shortness of breath occurring. As you know, I am still dealing with a sensitized system. In your valuable opinion, would you recommend that I completely stop for now or just to get used to that incredibly agitated mind and nervous energy? Much love, Brother 😊

ОтветитьMy intrusive thoughts are exactly the opposite of how I feel deep down and what I would really do in reality. You are spot on there, Dennis! Also being hangry and tired are big triggers for muddled and intrusive thinking for me so I try to be diligent about it. Thank you for another insightful video ☺️💖👏🏻👏🏻

ОтветитьI am happy with this video, because I always have intrusive thoughts after waking up. It’s pretty weird. Things that are not fulfilled and having fears of failure, even suicidal thoughts. I am diagnosed with anxiety during the start of coronavirus and recently depression. Mental illness is no joke.
