July 7のGame?
Thank you for the video!I lived and worked in Hiroshima and area for over 5 years. Many good memories. Btw the name of the spatula thing is 'hera' in Japanese. I agree Hiroshima style okonomiyaki is better than Kansai style. I was there before Mazda Stadium, so it was great to get the tour. Also I attended Hiroshima Cathedral. Also the oysters are taken from the bay. Did you go nearby Miyajima?
If you come to Hiroshima, you should definitely come to Kure City as well. Kure is where the world's largest battleship, the Yamato, was built during World War II, and there is also the Yamato Museum.

I am very happy that my hometown was featured. Have a nice trip.
My wife and I are visiting Japan next year and are looking at creating some kind of itinerary and after viewing this Hiroshima is definitely on the list .
Absolutely heaps of info on here and I think we may need to consider staying over as I was initially considering doing it on a day trip from Kyoto.
Being from the UK I might even consider going to the baseball game although we have been to the yankee stadium and white sox before but to be honest struggle to understand what all the fuss is about the game itself although it is a good day out.
Looking forward to watching your other videos on Japan and hope they are as good as this one.
Fantastic job by both of you !!!

The league is different from Hiroshima, but Otani has also played several games at Mazda Stadium.
See you again.✨
I am a Japanese living in Hiroshima. Thank you for introducing Hiroshima. Miyajima is also a nice place, so please go there.
Thanks for coming to my hometown Hiroshima.
Hiroshima has developed a lot since that day!
Now professional sports have made Hiroshima a more exciting place to live!
And did you enjoy the delicious food?
Please come to Hiroshima and Japan again sometime!
OMG - I'm from Hiroshima city and grew up that area. I'm not sure if you noticed, but there is a high school near the castle which I graduated. The coffee shop that you guys went at the beginning, that is one of my favorites, too. Forget about Starbucks!!! I'm glad you both liked Okonomiyaki. Can't wait to visit my family :)
Currently it's not rare many foreign Carp fans visit Hiroshima or someone who comes to Japan and become a Carp fan.
Thank you for visiting Japan!
And thank you for your visits to Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
Most Japanese people rarely visit both cities.
And I'm impressed by your impressions of both cities.
It showed a sense of respect for places other than your own country.
I wish you safe travels. Please come to Japan again!!!

The "Hiroshima Carp" in this video has a history unlike any other baseball team in the world.
The city of Hiroshima was completely destroyed in World War II, though, as this video tells us, Citizens who love baseball raised funds to create the team as a symbol of recovery from the destruction.
Almost 80 years later, all citizens still love their teams as if they were the team's owners.
I was born and bred in Hiroshima so I’m glad you guys seemed to have fun there.
And I was so impressed when Hannah said “Arigato-Gozaimasu”. Her pronunciation was like a native speaker and I couldn’t catch any American accent.
You guys must have done a good research beforehand bc we say “Arogato-Gozaimasu” instead of “Doumo-Arigato” that many tourists say while we Japanese barely say. You seemed to know much about Japan’s customs.
Are you supposed to tip at Okonomiyaki Ron?
It seems that many people who visited Hiroshima also visited Miyajima, which is a World Heritage Site, at the same time, but didn't you guys visit it?⛩ I hear that the island itself is worshipped as a god and is a very famous tourist attraction as one of the three most scenic spots in Japan.🦌 They say you can enjoy the heavenly view from the summit.
Peace Memorial Park is a large park, but I believe it was a town before the atomic bomb. The population at the time was 450,000, so imagine an atomic bomb falling on what is now the center of Auckland. It's a war, so I can't complain about anything. However, in Japan at that time, healthy men were forced to join the army, so most of the people in the city were old people, women, children and handicapped people. I don't see why you would target those people. There is no story in Japanese anime where a hero of justice targets his family in order to bring his opponent to his knees. But it does exist in yakuza movies. Do Japanese and Americans have a different sense of justice? There are also rumors that the USA used Japanese people as guinea pigs to show the Soviet Union the power of the atomic bomb. It was in the distant past, so I have no hatred toward Americans, but I have mixed feelings about the significance of using the atomic bomb.
I went to a baseball game in Osaka and watched the Hanshin Tigers. It was so much fun. I always recommend to sports fans travelling to Japan to check out a game. Its a fantastic experience.
Thanks for the excellent information.
I am from Hiroshima, so I have some additional information.
Hiroshima is home to not only baseball, but also major football, basketball and volleyball teams, making it the city with the highest per capita attendance for professional sports in Japan.
The city's unique food culture is also very popular, and on weekends, many people come from far and wide to watch sports and sightsee.
You can do research before going to destinations to know you need cash in Japan. Not being able to order the unique ball park food and order from a beer girl because you forgot cash in Japan?
You've done a really great job with this video. Not an easy one, but you've done it quite respectful. Love watching your video's
Great job
I enjoyed the food, traditional garden and especially the baseball game. Wish you could’ve sampled food at the game.
Very enjoyable watch! This series has me thinking I’d like to visit Japan!
Really excellent video!
I love how the Hiroshima museum is named the peace museum. This shows that people have moved on, don't hate the Americans and spread peace. 🕊️
Loving your Japan series and adding so much to our list for next time! Appreciate how you handle tough history. 👏
Another nice video, although I just ate lunch, I was drooling like a St Bernard when watching y'all eat these oyster! The memorial museum was also awesome, we cannot forget how war can be so devastating, innocent people dying instantly, hoping this never happens again anywhere on our beautiful earth!
Nice video. WWII was brutal really and it ended brutally also. I think the way Japan changed in the wake of the atomic bombings is quite remarkable. Pacifism replaced the will to conquer and create empire. Horrible what the two cities went through such pain and trauma. The park was nice. I was impressed by how low the entry fees are to museums and the like, so I mentioned this to my wife, who lived in Japan for a year and a half back in the eighties. She told me that there is a law in Japan regarding access to culturally important public places. The law mandates that access should be affordable. I know you guys are on a budget, but I wonder if you are going to try Kobe or wagyu beef at some point? The wagyu ribeye steaks I have experienced are on a higher plane. Happy trails to you both, kind regards from Aarhus Denmark.
Woo, first comment! Haha. Great video! Baseball game is now on my Japan list. Seeing sporting events live in new places is such a unique experience. Highly recommend taking in a football/soccer game in Europe or England, so much fun! On a heavier note if you guys like documentaries White Light, Black Rain is a good but very heavy doc about the bombing with quite a few interviews with survivors. They share their stories of that day and talk about the aftermath, show their scars etc. Its one you won’t soon forget but def worth the watch. Keep the videos coming guys! Love your content
Fantastic video
