You know you look like Mat from military arms channel.. And good info thank you
ОтветитьAE (American eagle)military grade .223 55gr is very different from AE military grade with L.C brass 556 55gr. The AE M.G 556 has way more “snap” to it. Also i found when shooting AE MG 556 with a muzzle break there’s huge fireballs unlike the AE M.G .223.The boxes claim the same FPS but i don’t know how accurate that is. Check the vid I have I’m shooting 556 AE out of a 16’ with a muzzle break.
ОтветитьReally interested in the PPU load. Thanks! Maybe some 77 grain razor core load too?
ОтветитьHhmm. Hornady doesn't surprise me. I have a 6.5 Grendel that will drive tacks with Federal, Wolf opens up to 2" and Hornady 6". Barrel obviously does like it. Nice review
ОтветитьGood job. Be interesting to switch rifles and run it again. Guessing the recoil pulse may be different powders and primers. Would be interesting to see if the two are indeed, close in velocity. Again, well done!
Ответить1 in 8 twitch makes a difference.
ОтветитьI like head to head videos like this!
Granted I know results will vary depending on your situation but it gives you a good start to try to find what you like the best.
Where is Erika ?
ОтветитьAwesome video! I'm surprised at the group sizes with the frontier 68's. that's my go-to round in 556. In my 16" 1:8 ss I shoot 3 rounds touching at 100yards and 3.75" group at 522 yards.
ОтветитьNumbers wise, Grizzly has my attention. Just have to get some out to the range to test out.
ОтветитьExcellent information !
Thanks for sharing !
Stay Safe !🇺🇸🗽👍
Excellent video. Thank you both!
I'd love to see some hunting rifle ammo (30-06, 270, 308. 6.5 Creedmoor) videos using using this format. God bless.
Great info!
ОтветитьThanks you all. Interesting data. Appreciate the time & money. Good stuff.
ОтветитьExcellent presentation. Thanks for the charts.
ОтветитьAwsome video love the content keep it up guys
ОтветитьSimple. The best one is the one your rifle shoots the best.
ОтветитьExcellent info...I enjoy seeing you two together 😊
ОтветитьI think she was taking it easy on you while shooting. She was nice and was careful not to show you up in front of your buddies. Yep. She's a keeper. lol.
I enjoyed the video, great job to both of you. Thanks
As always nice review video👏👍🤙.Sir what about BlackhillsAmmo? Can you tell me about this company?I'm learnjng through expert like you.Keep up the good work.Stay safe and God Bless🙏🙏🙏.
ОтветитьI wonder if that difference (recoil impulse) that your friend felt could be explained by one of the rifles having an over sized gas port in the barrel?
ОтветитьThe Hornady velocity between the .223 and 5.56 are rated at different barrel lengths. I believe .223 is 24” and the 5.56 is 18”
ОтветитьGreat video glad I came across it. My favorite 68/69gn is the hornady frontier 5.56 68gn BTHP. They shoot very good from my 14.5” and 12.5” guns. Getting right around .75 to 1 moa and very good velocities too. Getting between 2650-2700fps with both short barrels. The main thing that was a deciding factor on me stocking up on this ammo was cost. Granted it’s not that now even if you can find it but over a year ago when I ordered a couple cases they were going for right around .40$ a round. I was using the ppu 69 grain BTHP before I found the frontier but the ppu wasn’t quite as accurate and the velocities were a good bit slower. Btw as far as the velocities on the 223 loaded frontier and 5.56 frontier out of my guns I was getting 60-80fps lower velocity from the 223 loaded ammo
ОтветитьI have one of those stag varminter uppers. I fluted, threaded and glass bead blasted the barrel. The last part was for looks but the fluting definitely lightened that sucker up a lot!
ОтветитьHow the hell do you not have more subscribers?!
ОтветитьI would probably take the fiocchi with the cost and accuracy combo
ОтветитьFluted area thinner wall Prob heats up faster
ОтветитьBump
ОтветитьI shoot 68gr Sierra BTHP out of both of my rifles which are 1:7 twist and get very good results. They are loaded by Georgia Arms. I've shot several different 55gr loads and the resorts were poor to say the least. Love the heavier loads.
ОтветитьThank you for taking the time, money, and effort.
ОтветитьThanks for the intel. Always love the content.
Ответитьcheck out those Rem Match rds as the one's we can buy here have Sierra MK 69gr bullets in them.
ОтветитьThe couple shooting idea is cool.
My thought is you should shoot the same gun. Then shoot another gun.
We don't learn anything without comparison of the same rifle, same ammo when you're not using the same platform.
Fun video. Just kinda pointless without proper comparison
5.56 velocity is usually measured out of a 20 inch barrel. .223, 24 inch. That explains recoil differences and box descriptions not making sense.
ОтветитьWould liked to see you both switch rifles during the test. This is ALWAYS subjective and not definitive info because what works in one rifle does NOT correlate to another rifle!!! YOU (not another shooter!) need to test YOUR rifle with different loads to determine what works in that specific rifle!!!
ОтветитьBeautiful landscape. That is god's country for sure.
