Well said Sehwag, Butler's 26 is as important as Stokes as he gave them a fast start in PP - so later batters can take their time. On other hand we have KL Rahul & Rohit etc. who stat pad and play selfish and scared cricket leaving everything for the later batters.

There's nothing to believe that if Afridi cd bowl more 11 deliveries Pakistan had a fair chance. Sry. There's no country, even Scotland who wd not do 40 runs in last 5 overs, forget about England. I wish the BCCI/Selectors/Team Management would listen this keenly, but we all know the current system and their favouritisms for star players.. we can only hope they would actually take some initiatives and make some changes in reforms of selection..

I definitely don’t want to see ROHIT, KL RAHUL, DK, ASHWIN, BHUBNESHWAR, SHAMI and similar players of their age with out of form intent from this WC squad anymore even in upcoming T20 bilateral tournaments, forget them going to T20 WC24.. a lot of young talent needs to be given chance and to be groomed. ONLY VIRAT KOHLI seems to be exception with regards to his fitness and form but he too shouldn’t carry on in T20 beyond ODI WC23.. I think it’s time for him to let youngsters play T20 and express themselves..

There’s has been unnecessary rest and break for players every alternate series and over the top focus only on IPL games, this has actually costed us THIS T20 WC defeat, mostly because our players focus mostly in IPL, get injured and misses out in WC selection.. Can you imagine our result if we had BUMRAH & JADEJA in this WC squad?? It’s time to make these players realise the actual a tournament is the World Cup and not the IPL, the main focus should be to win ICC trophies and not just IPL titles..

When are we going to Likes of Sanju Samson, Gaekwad, GILL, SHREYAS, R PANT, P SHAW, W SUNDAR, U MALIK, M SIRAJ…??? When will these young brigade be the regular features to take Indian cricket forward?

It’s true we do need a reset button and include and exclude certain players, this is sports and we need performances not the stardom of cricketers.. BIG names don’t win you matches, Big performances do.. that’s what we learned from key young players like SURYA K YADAV, HARDIK PANDYA & ARSHDEEP SINGH.. They are the future of Indian cricket..

One difference that you can see in England cricket and other cricket boards is that ECB always back their players even after their worst phase.. Stuart Broad's career was supposedly finished when Yuvraj hit him for 6 sixes, now he has over 500 Test Wickets.. similarly, Ben Stokes looked shattered in 2016 but ECB believed in him and he got his redemption thrice..

Well played England, they were deserving winners with a squad ready for most situations for this tournament. Pakistan, congratulations for giving a tough fight via their top class bowling despite an average batting performance. They need to work on their batting being more consistent and aggressive. India, well we never selected or backed our talent consistently and we’re confused till the end about right combinations for the conditions. Most importantly, our bowling is the biggest weak link: how can you have 120-125 kph bowling that relies only on swing and if swing is not there we are exposed ? Even the associate teams did not lose by 10 wickets against England. Team management was confused right through the last 12 months over experimenting, maybe too many talented players to choose from. Raw pace is required as a first pre requisite for world class opposition. We have the bowlers, just need to identify, groom them and back them.

Giving mauka in series and taking aswin and dk out of nowhere with due respect to these greats in worldcup is routine now.
