Why is the asr4 no longer available in the infinity black?
ОтветитьThis is just a p1x lol
ОтветитьI want to point out that the side/front mounting solution ASR designed is pretty genius. It’s minimal in the material used and doesn’t require a complete replacement of the top of their upright to switch to. From a standpoint of inventory it means less brand specific parts.
ОтветитьDoes that shifter mount for the tr160 stiffen it up more then the tr80. So say I wanted everything mounted , triple monitors if I got the second shifter mount for the other side for rigidity would I still get the monitor shake? I haven’t ordered one yet but where exactly is the flex the main or the monitor mount frame or Evan the monitors themself doesn’t the g6 and g9 the back of the monitor have a rotating mount
ОтветитьYou can 3d print caps and trim for aluminum extrusion.
ОтветитьSo if you were looking at this asr3, 4, 6 or the simlabs gt evo, gt pro and p1. What would be a deciding factor to pick on of these over the other. All would be used with DD2 fanatec.
ОтветитьHow come you didn"t set it up and drive it for us?
ОтветитьAbout to order by ASR4. Thanks for the review. I was going back and forth between this and the TR120, but the free shipping to the US really made the decision for me. Cheers fellas!
ОтветитьWound up buying the ASR4 kit with your affiliate link. Happy to support the great work you guys have been putting into all these reviews. Really helps.
ОтветитьPicked up an ASR6 couple years ago locally. Pretty much stole it. Guy never even finished putting it together. Quad integrated monitor mount, keyboard tray, pc shelf, everything except the seat. Has been disassembled and moved a few times and every time i find more ways to tweak it and modify it. I have changed a few things where i needed to order parts from advanced, such as monitor vesa mount and wheel deck and they have been really great to deal with. now i want the adjustable wheel mount LOL. thing looks sick!
ОтветитьHeavily been considering getting that front mount wheel deck from them, probably will maybe at some point next month. Though the mention of asking for custom profile lengths makes me wonder if I could also get just the uprights, really like the infinite black finish. My rig is entirely diy and made of wood and while mostly I have no issues with it, the wheel deck flexes more than I'd like and why I want their one since it's a pretty reasonable option, but I wouldn't doubt that some of my flex also just comes from the 2x6s I use for my uprights. Also the free shipping is great for me since I'm in Canada, getting anything from other places can get quite costly. lol
ОтветитьJust ordered mine super psyched
ОтветитьI have been using the ASR6 black infinity coated for about a year and it's been fantastic.
ОтветитьI just use some teflon if ANYTHING is loose, and they have this in different thicknesses lol;l see ya
ОтветитьNice to see a review on a local Canadian brand!
I've been rocking my DIY wood rig for years, even with my simagic alpha wheelbase, but have been thinking of upgrading to an ASR rig recently. Worried about a few things with it though, like being able to run a real car seat, and mounting for handbrake, h-shifter and a sequential shifter and at the same time.
When is the review coming of that wheel???
ОтветитьIs this in the same class as the TR160 Trak Racer? Can it handle 25nm torque and higher?
ОтветитьThe ASR-4 is fantastic! Been using mine for a year with zero regrets. Instead of the feet, I put mine on 4" casters for easy mobility and cleaning and added an integrated tv stand to the rig.
ОтветитьLooks really nice kit
ОтветитьAt first I never understood why people would spend over 500$ on a cockpit, I decided to get an unbranded one for about half the price and well…. It wasn’t the easiest or best experience when building it but it did come with a tv mount, and while the adjustment on the setup is very minimal it’s still better and more comfortable than my next level racing GT lite cockpit. That one was just a lawn chair with tubing that would dig into the back of my thighs making long play sessions impossible. While the cheap one I bought doesn’t have the most comfortable chair in the world it’s still a huge improvement over my old chair. Tho in hindsight I probably should have gotten something name brand cause the packaging looked like it was a diy project with all the screws in a large zip lock baggy lol. The only positive was that it was cost effective tho at the price of poor quality and complete lack of instruction it’s hard to say if it was worth it or not lol
ОтветитьHey, you will test T818 base? thx!
ОтветитьThe powder coating on my matte ASR4 scratched pretty easily and was pretty dissapointed.
Ответитьthanks foir the top tip about using a Combinaton Square!. Just fixed a few issues with my build. 👍
ОтветитьI have the ASR 3 and have been beyond happy! The ASR4 came out like a month after I received my ASR3. So close but still so happy with the product and happy to support a fellow Canadian operation.
ОтветитьIf I would buy an aluminum rig it would be the Simetik X2. Just from the looks.
ОтветитьI understand profile rigs are proven and strong but imo they are as boring as it gets and look like treadmills with a seat just ugly and everybody has one so there is nothing to seperate your rig to anyone elses its all the same, very repetitive market and a paint job cant change the fact it still looks like a shiny treadmill now instead of a flat one but they work so it is what it is.🏃🏼♂️🏃🏼♂️🏃🏼♂️🏃🏼♂️🏃🏼♂️
Ответитьwill you do a review on the GSI Hyper p1??!?
ОтветитьI actually ordered this rig last weekend but canceled the order to get a simlab P1x from digital motorsports since they had free shipping for that weekend which saved me 330ish. With the free shipping and 5% off I paid $676 vs 749 I paid for the asr4.
I definitely would have been happy with it but I thought it was dumb off me not to jump on the P1x, especially since it was actually cheaper. The asr6 is the equal to the p1x and its 949.
Can I have it now that you have reviewed? I’ll never be able to afford
ОтветитьIs it possible to mount the pedal plates closer and the assembly for the wheel base farther away
ОтветитьI've got an ASR3 and it's great. They're a great operation and super responsive.
ОтветитьIf you live in the US, Microcenter carries Sim Lab products and aluminum profile rigs and they start at $600 for a 120 rig similar to this ASR 4 and they come almost entirely preassembled. It is the best deal so long as you have one near you.
Anyway, carry on.
Love my ASR-4, great company to deal with. Great review!
ОтветитьWhat would you say is the best budget aluminum profile rig?
ОтветитьI have exactly the same here! ASR4 infinit black. I im 6'2" and 370lbs! And i have no problem with this rig no flex no bendind anything , im very happy with this product and the customer service is outstanding!!
ОтветитьAwesome support by ASR, wanted to buy the ASR6 and after a call with them they suggested the ASR4 for my needs. Waiting for it to arrive and mount it in my 18wheeler. Thank you for the review, relieved some anxiety. Hope you make a review on the inverted pedal solutions out there
ОтветитьI have the AS3 and have a Simagic Alpha mounted. At full power it doesnt move at all rock solid. ASR is a great company
ОтветитьI got my ARS6 2 years ago and have been happy with it ever since. It has actually been great watching a Canadian company grow in the sim racing market, they seem to be always improving their products, customer service and not just sitting back becoming stagnate.
ОтветитьWhat's the thickness (mm) of the DD side mount plates?
ОтветитьI have this rig. It's worth every penny. Good instructions when assembling, and easy to put together. Solid, rigid, and absolutely no issues.
ОтветитьWhy don’t any of these chassis companies tell you the difference in what each setup is for? I’ve spent hours trying to understand what makes the $500 chassis worse than the $1600 chassis. Give us an NM rating, explain why I should spend more. I just don’t understand how that isn’t put as priority on any of these sites. Advanced has the best site so far, but they list their specs after a bunch of reviews… the specs don’t mean anything to me until I need replacement parts or fitment in my home. Can we just get a basic difference in each rig instead of comparing specs on a page? We want to buy one time and never go back again, so I don’t want to dedicate time and brain cells trying to comprehend aluminum profile thicknesses and capabilities. Ps if advanced is reading this, please make a Kawasaki green chasis 😉. I’m a top 4k amazon reviewer, and just wish there was a lot better comparison charts on what makes your rig worth triple another on your own site. Small gripes on what has made me not squeeze the trigger on a proper aluminum rig yet. I hate buying things twice… help us make informed decisions without needing to watch videos on the differences.
(I’m on mobile, there may be a better site on a browser)
Bought one of these a month ago in matte black. Great and solid rig. Their instructional video is absolute trash though.
ОтветитьLong term I want something like that, right now I'm just using a diy setup
ОтветитьThat's a pretty sweet sim rig
ОтветитьI built a similar profile rig with monitor mount and with seat for 600 usd.
ОтветитьNice review. I am at my second ASR cockpit, I first bought the ASR3 and moved to the ASR6 after. Both are great and Advanced Simracing has one of the best customer service I have experienced. To answer your comment about the grommet that hold the end plates, yes they loosen up but I received so many extra pieces that I have a good spare supply to replace them. As for the extrusion thickness being lighter/smaller than the P1X well it's only because you are reviewing the ASR4 which compared more to the gt1 Evo, if you had the ASR6 I am pretty sure it would be as thick as you P1X ;)
ОтветитьCan you bolt on the next level racing motion plus to this? (Or the ASR3 since it is the same as the Gt Elite)😊
ОтветитьNext Level GT Track comparison?
ОтветитьBeen loving the trak racer TR80 mk5
