Greece and Russian actually has a lot of friendly ties despite Greece not being Slav. Fun history. Recommend looking into that

What we got: USA/USSR/China world rule
What we could have had: UK/Germany/Japan world rule
We could have carved up China. Domesticated the Indians and taught them how to use toilets. Faded USA and USSR into sweet irrelevance.
Technology would be much further behind than it is today, if there weren't two world wars. But that's not necessarily a bad thing...

it is worth noting that it was a common sentiment among German soldiers during ww1 that instead of fighting each other, it should’ve been Germany and Britain fighting together against the French

Any alliance between the UK and Germany was doomed once the Germans started building a large battlefleet. With the most powerful army in Europe, Germany had no need for a large fleet to beat potential rivals France, Austria-Hungary or Russia on land. So the only possible aim of the fleet would be to contest the power of the British Royal Navy. If Bismarck was still in control of German policy, he would not have antagonized a potential ally in such a manner but as we know Kaiser Wilhelm thought he knew better and dumped him.

One thing not mentioned that would have made an Anglo/German alliance unlikely was Kaiser Wilhelm II dislike of Britain, he blamed his withered arm on the incompetence of the British doctor that delivered him, and because that doctor had been there at the insistence of his grandmother Queen Victoria he developed a dislike of Britain altogether.

Prussia provoked France?
France declared the war. Heck, the Leader's Name was even Napoleon III.
Napoleon tried to colonize Germany, which was the start of the unification movement.
Prussia is clearly here the good one since they defended their Land. And after a total defeat on the French side, Germany only took little territory.
Think about what the French took from Germany when they won WW1. You think this is the same respect or fairness?

But I guess it's easy to always see Germany as the bad one.
Even when Germany was the power house which stopped 2 Asians Invasions to take over the continent.

I dunno if this would ever have actually been possible though. I mean hey you can make the case and it’s all opinion, debate etc. I just feel that the rivalry between the old and new empires was way to strong. Kinda negates Bismark’s ideas of German Imperial Supremacy. Still, wicked video man :)

Actually this came close to happening. Ottoman von Bismarck wanted to form an alliance with Great Britain after Germany Unified. The combination of the biggest Naval Power & the best Army would maintain the peace of Europe.

Britain and Germany truly would’ve been Invincible

Britains biggest weakness was its ground force but Germany had the strongest one in the world

Germanys biggest weakness was its Navy but Britain Dominated the Worlds oceans they truly.

The only issue with this video is it neglects to mention the original proposal for an Anglo-German Alliance was formed on a basis of a Tripartite between Britain, Germany and Japan. When Germany dropped out, the Anglo-Japanese Alliance of 1902 was formed to counter the Franco-Russian Alliance which encircled Anglo-Japanese positions in the Far East. Had this Tripartite come into existence, it is likely the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-05 either would not have occurred, or would have triggered WW1 10 years earlier

How can 10m population Greece could hold those New lands in check? Ottomans would still retain control over Europaen Turkey. And Libya was taken from them 2 years ago they wouldnt let Greece take that land that easily. Other than super duper Greece, I find this alternative timeline reasonable.

The real weakness of the German Empire was Wm II himself. His own petty anti-Anglo feelings and insecurities left The German Empire without a truly powerful ally.
