Show got so lame when they got together lol. First 3-4 seasons were solid. Then plot/storylines and the relationship drama was unbearable at times

my eyes and ears must be deceiving me, because i grew up watching season 1 2 and 3, and im pretty sure elena was with stefan, hated damon, gave him a chance, hated him again, hated him even more, had no choice but to spend time with him (season 3), had moments with him but then chose stefan at the end of the season, only for me to see that she goes to DAMON at the end of season 4 🤣

I still get butterflies when elena says that she loves him. Delena was endgame because Damon respected her wishes and sometimes agreed with them; whereas in the stelena relationship, i just felt a bit odd when i saw elena and stefan together, for me it didn't feel right. I'm not saying that i hate their relationship, there were good bits, but delena was more real and didnt feel fake, probably because they were dating irl. When they had their 'we're toxic' fight and broke up, they werent toxic, it was their friends saying it wasn't real, especially Caroline being a royal bitch when she had (i think) cheated on tyler with klaus.

They belong together but my only issue with their relationship is that Damon slept with Isobel and how can a girl be with a man that has slept with their mother… but I guess Miranda and Grayson were her actual parents in her eyes and when Isobel came back she didn’t care all that much… it could be worse, but Damon come on… Elena literally came out of Isobel and you slept with both… I mean that’s just gross… I guess young boys do that with their gf’s mom too lmao 😂

I liked Damon Salvatore more than I liked Stefan Salvatore with Elena Gilbert. Damon Salvatore suits Elena better. Just my thoughts. I think Caroline was the right person for Stefan.

Great for TV but horrible for real life. He literally said he will never change and that he's bad for her and she just ran into his arms.

Damon is actually good for Elena in so many ways. I knew she'd choose him because I watched S3 and I understood the sire bond very well. Elena isn't the blind one. Stefan is. He doesn't know Damon half as well as he thinks he does. In fact, when it comes to Damon, Stefan is most often wrong. I liked "bad" Damon in the first season, but as soon as he hit Jenna's house for the barbecue in S2... I was all for the character journey that I knew was coming.

"Stefan sacrificed... Stefan sacrificed... Stefan sacrificed... Stefan deserved... Stefan deserved... Stefan deserved..." That's all I see... rape culture of entitlement. The idea that women OWE men. Stefan is the one that brought all the crap into her life to begin with. He needed to sacrifice since he's the one that owed her. And yes, if he's gonna fight for Elena to have a life, she's gonna get the life she wants, not the life he wants for her. Stefan likes to play victim when he's often half the problem.
