Can the tape measures be mounted whole and intact so that you can extent or retract to match the desired frequency or even different bands as and when required?

I made this exact one with PVC beams and I can hit Connecticut, New Jersey, and mainland NY from eastern Long Island with a 5 watt HT. Ghetto and shitty as it is, this thing really does give some fire performance on a budget

I built one of these and was a bit disappointed in the forward gain. The front/back nulling is very good as you show in the video but it is not able to pull in anything I don't normally receive.
