I also owned a 2nd gen iPod touch but it wasn’t til like 2014 I wish I could had a iPod after they had launched I was 8th grade after the first iPod touch was released back in 2007 but my parents didn’t let me get one back then one thing they have over todays iPhones is a headphone jack but charging ports on the original iPods are 2 generations behind i currently have the iPhone 14 I guess I could use as a iPod but I would have to buy wireless headphones.

I still have an iPod classic 60GB and an iPod mini 4GB but the battery is shot on the mini. We do have a battery replacement kit tho

My iPod touch 2nd generation made in 2008 13th October(checked with 3utools also was made exactly 3 years before my Xbox 360) has probably been thrown and abused for almost 15 years( based on how many scratches there are on the back of it) with a screen replacement or battery replacement because iPod touches if you’re repairing them at home… I feel so bad if you not that experienced but if it’s a newer one then it might be easier but why couldn’t they be like the iPhones but slightly different but then again with the curved thinner shape of the ipod touch 4th generation and before would be hard to make it like a iPhone but it’s apple and they have lots of money:edit: wait how did you get iOS 7 on that it only got support up to iOS 4.2.1 oh wait I forgot about when you jailbreak it, you can customise it quite a lot which I haven’t personally done but I should(also I have only owned my iPod touch 2nd generation since June 16th 2023 because I got it off eBay but I love it soooooooo much and also can you do a tutorial on how to fix a iPhone 5c if the touch screen won’t work properly after water damage also it was from a pawn shop who was selling it on eBay for 40$ with a unresponsive screen and back camera wasn’t working, there was no back camera and it was water damaged but they didn’t know that I didn’t also and the home button was falling out because the plastic and metal part of the screen that I used to hold a metal plate that something goes on and the home button gets attached to so I’m pretty sure that means it was under water for a bit and was made in 2013 not at a later date but it wasn’t rusted too bad only a few screws

They should just make like a few 100,000 new iPods each year instead of discontinuing them that way the people that want them can have them
