I may not know what I'm talking about, but with one of your last recommendations for the Ryzen 7600 you listed Gskill Ripjaws S5 for the RAM, which according to my understanding is targeted more toward Intel CPUs (not that it wouldn't work). I believe that instead the GSKill Flare X5 is the equivalent RAM targeted toward AMD CPUs, and costs basically the same price. I hope so at least ... that's what I just bought for my new 7600 build :)

I always love how in most of your videos you try to make it as clear as possible that when it comes to gaming the GPU should take absolute priority and the CPU can be lower tier than we think as long as its not bottlenecking the GPU. I always get caught up in getting the next best thing but I always need that reminded that it might not make a difference whatsoever.

I'm currently doing a spreadsheet on PC builds (mini-ITX system).
I find for the combo of CPU/MB/Memory, Intel 13th gen (13600KF) comes out cheaper by 16% cheaper than a comparable Ryzen 7600X system.
The 13th gen would be using Gen 12 1700 and DDR4.
Ryzen obviously using AM5 MB and DDR5.
Why is that so?

I have no idea how it happened, but I bought my Ryzen 5 7600 for $2990 Mexican Pesos, approximately $175 USD. From one day to the next, a supplier began selling them at a very reduced price to the main hardware stores, dropping public prices to $175. It was time for something good to happen in these lands. Although we have much better prices and stock than most of Latin America, the percentage it represents of our salary is much higher so any discount is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for these videos that help us make better decisions and save valuable resources.

As I commented to one of your other videos, I plan to build a PC for Blender later this year.

I was going for an AM4 build (for 1200$ - it is actually Euros but it is almost the same) but after a small price drop, AM5 is the only way!

For example, the build I plan to make costs around 1350-1400$.

Ryzen 5 7600X, Asrock B650M PG riptide, 32GB 5600 ram e.t.c..

The only issue is that a RTX 3060 here costs 315$ while a RTX 4070 is round 650$. Even if I won’t be able to afford the 4070 right now, I will start with the 3060 (12GB VRAM is a must for 3D rendering) and then upgrade to a 4070.

Hello Jason keep up the good work you helping a lot of people to avoid spending money on thinks is not need it.
I recently ordered the ryzen 5 7600,32 gb ram(2x16 @ 5600MT/s kingoston fury beast) i also thinking for b650 riptide(asrock) your video confirm my preferance to this brand(s) ,the only mistaqe i did it was to buying a couple months earlier the rtx 3060 12 gb couse i wasent thinking to build a new pc at the time.
I think this gpu will keep limited the cpu couse is not match for the ryzen 5 7600.
In few days i will have all the parts and i m pretty sure i will find out how much loosing in performance with this combination.
Thanks once again for your very usefull content you creating for all of us.

Viewing this after the release of the RX 7700 XT & 7800 XT I think Jason would change his GPU selection. Me in 9-9-23 I would get a RX 7800 XT for about $500. However I am looking for the price to drop on the RX 7700 XT after the starfield game bundle expires to closer to the $400 mark.

Hi, my friend!! First congratulations on your channel. You make perfect work! I'm watching you from Greece and I have some questions if you can help me. I building a new PC with the AMD 7600X without GPU now (I will buy it in the near future). So, I looking at the Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX wifi for the M/B with Kingston Fury Beast RGB 32GB DDR5 6000 (KF560C36BBEAK2-32) and Samsung 980 Pro SSD 500GB M.2 NVMe PCI Express 4.0. I bought the Lian Li Lancool PC Case 216 RGB with the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280. My questions are:
Do you recommend another M/B, RAM & M.2?
I have a non-use PSU Be Quiet System Power 9 500W Full Wired 80 Plus Bronze. So, can I use it before I buy a GPU? If I will buy a GPU give me 2-3 choices of PSU.

RTX 4070
B650 PRO RS

Only missmatch is my CPU cooler since it only has 4 heatpipes. ENDORFY Fera 5 ARGB.
It is still in parts. I really hope the CPU cooler is good enough.

I just built a Ryzen 7600 rig using a Gigabyte RTX 4080 Eagle 0C and a very cheap A620 MSI pro AM5 motherboard. The 4080 just dominates the space and looks silly in size compared to that matx board lol. That said, it all runs amazingly well. I had to do a bit of a workaround because the 4080 completely covers all of the jumpers on the board like power and reset and USB. It needs right angled headers for those otherwise no dice...I wonder how many others will come up against the same thing. Anyway a real bargain pocket rocket build!

Although I am new to this, but I bought a Ryzen 5 7600 since the 7600X is not available, along with an Intel Arc 750 L.E since I am a casual gamer, and would those two Ryzen 5 7600 and A750 would work for me. I do have the A770 as a back up in case it would not work beyond 1080P. P.S I finally got an exchange return for the 7600x few days later since they have a few left.

The thing with the 7600 non X is, that if you just lower the power limit of the 7600X to 65 W, you'll get the same result as the non X variant. Plus, you will get slightly better performance in applications without the Power limit. And it's just 10$ more expensive (at least in my country)

I have a question before I go out and spend millions on a GPU.
I play CS on low settings to boost FPS as high as possible, I don't care about the graphic, I only care about as high FPS as possible, and I will soon be going from playing CSGO to CS2, currently using 4790K GTX960 2GB, thinking about getting a 7800x3d upgrade.
My question is, do I really need to upgrade to an expensive GPU to play CS2 on 1440p low settings? I just want to run as many FPS as possible, I can't state this enough, even stable +800 fps would make me a very happy competitive CS player.
