Honestly just got started in dayz and recommend to start in community/military spawn servers. Really got me use to how my health works, moving things in and out of my inventory, gun play etc

I’ve been playing official servers more now that I actually know how to operate basic things in the game

Tbh if you´re camping at the spot for so long they are able to unlog, relog, relog again, and run to your location, you kinda deserve it. Also, most community servers just change the game from survival to Call of Duty. Yawn.

How do I join a community server? When I go to the tab it stays blank and says can't find a server no matter how many times I reset my PS5/ the game and or my wifi am I forgetting sum?

I recently just started playing on Xbox and I was wondering is there any quick ways to maybe turn on the MNK without using mouse and keyboard? Like how destiny has the floating cursor icon or is it just stuck whether you’re playing on Consol? And also, do you recommend any cheap mouse and keyboard wireless for Xbox?

I’ve found some cool servers but there’s only like 4 in EU that ever have high player count on my series x! Just looking to have some mad adventures haha 😆 ive never even built a base and I’ve played for a year

I think the PVE community servers would be the best place to start - especially fairly high pop as a lot of them have people who are keen to help out and coach people... just be careful you haven't accidentally picked up some hardcore Syberia/Namalsk mods - which are great fun, but not really for the beginner!

How can someone leave the server, move behind you on a different server, than log back into the first one when the game randomizes your position on the map everytime you change servers?

I generally just hop from server to server on official. Haven’t died for 4 days now so I’m doing pretty okay. Looking from where I came from a couple years ago, I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

The whole Server thing confuses the total heck out of me. i want to just jump on and press play. And I just want to play the original regular game exactly how the developers intending it to be played. I don’t understand what I’m looking at when I see all the servers and little Icons. I’m just not used to the whole Server idea as a I never played Minecraft or anything with multiple server options.

Bullshit, I played official for weeks couldn’t even start a fire, killed lost loot yii or u name it! Went to community got to learn all the weapons and tools and food and other little nuances. Now I can compete on official, you got it backwards ya divvy!

Are there any servers that are modded to be more like ARMA? Or that style of military combat ?

Me and my group of friends started on Official. We went to community, and found that a lot of the players aren't great. They're so dependent on base ping and UAV's, that a standard gun fight they fail.

I have been playing for about two years so no vet but not new.
Thing is though, Im nearing 60 and I simply don't have the reflexes of a twenty year old.
This equates to me getting pawned on sight, pretty well 100% of the time.
I just want to be left alone and play a survival game.
I have tried community servers but found that the admin are sketchy.
Never once broken a single Dayz rule.
Just last week I tried a community server, had been on it for two hours doing my own thing when suddenly I was stuck in a shed with wave after wave of zombies and like 200 bears for ten minutes.
They couldn't get me because I was in the shed but that's the kind of thing I'm talking about with community administrators.
It's bullshit and random.
I did not do a single thing than quietly play my own game an keep to myself.

Can somebody please point me at a good community server where I wont be killed on sight, won't be screwed around by the administrators and just be left alone to play my quiet game?

just got the game and first time spawning i walk into a warehouse found a belt and boots tried working the inventory then suddenly a bald woman with no clothes on came up and started aggresivley punching me she then stole my boots belt and my clothes revied me and then punched me in the dick and ran off. This game is fucking great

I've been playing this game for 3 days now religiously. So far I've changed clothes a lot,built about 7 fires,ate a bunch of food and found an abundant amount of ammo... no guns though lol

Do official servers comb through for hacking? The Livonia Server we have been using has one player that can spot a tent within a week no matter how well hidden. We have relocated 4 times in a very remote eastern corner, maybe once or twice he gets lucky, but that many times is statistically improbable. There were tons of mushrooms where he bases but absolutely no evidence of a visible presence. They're seemingly there but not visible. Make you wonder if that's legit play?

This was a great guide to showcase the servers menu. I also appreciate the little note you mentioned on how it’s our story and how we can do whatever we want with it. Definitely subscribing material.

Loved the video but i think you are wrong about 1st and 3rd person characters being seperate they are not because i just tested it all my gear came with me to the first person server and vice versa

What does run time mean? Im thinking about owning a server

How do you know what servers has what rules? Is it just the creator of the server that makes you follow the rules or does the game itself kick you when you don't follow the rules? Also could you please tell me of a server that has a no raiding rule because I'm new and solo and also do not want to deal with raiders, I just want to survive and build up. Maybe later on I'll get some friends on DayZ and join their clan. So far I don't know a soul that has this game.

Unofficial servers are best for beginners if you can find a +loot server, on these servers you'll find the same loot in the same places but at an increased amount so you not only get to know where different things can spawn faster but you should survive long enough to get to know the locations more

Me personally how I learned how to play the game was more of figuring out what does what in a high pop server and then moving on to official and all the other stuff cuz it's easier to do stuff in the community servers.

I remember the first time I played DayZ in console, oh man I didn't got to railed but only for the reason I was good in shooters lol, how the guns did work and I didn't knew how the hell to shoot them got me killed, it was a good experience learning all without knowing was the vest way for me I really enjoyed it, learning of my mistakes.

Man is this gonna be helpful, I’ve only ever loaded in once, and recently re-downloaded the game again (From game pass). I had to make sure to subscribe!!!, I watched a few of your other beginner guides and they seem very helpful. Just one question, can you use keyboard and mouse on a console even if the server doesn’t have the Icon? (On official servers)

Honestly I feel Livonia is easier to navigate cause you have the river and most of the cities sit right along it.

In a community server people want loot, they dont care. But id have been a good ally
