You can say that they are just repeating the things that works mindlessly without intent all you want but that only really works when you watch the videos in isolation and do not think about the production aspect. They have to sit down and come up with problems that don't exist and think of ways to solve them, and the way they solve it doesn't appear to be a natural progression of the problem, but the most comedic solution to a problem. They have to sit down, think up new ideas, discuss how to make them, and storyboarded. Then they have to go on set, get actors in, tell them how to act (and it appears they are being told to act comedically), and those actors have to actually brandish those things or try and do the things instructed, and to think that at absolutely no stage in that do they realise or someone brings up how ridiculous and comical it is, and that it is just running on repetitive instinct rather than intent, takes a huge leap of assumptions.

I think this is just an attempt to try and keep something you love pure. I personally am still able to find something so bad that its good enjoyable even if I find out it is done purposefully, if what they do is actually crafted well. At multiple points I was laughing at the ridiculous solutions they were coming up with fully suspecting that they are aware of what they are doing. It is absurdist humour.
