Question for Johnathan: What do you think of the EMP gun from the film Eraser?
ОтветитьI’d love to see Johnathan’s reaction to the weapons used in the tv series Ultimate Force as supposedly they are all weapons really used by UKSF SAS.
ОтветитьFor reference 4 gauge is 26.7mm. That's classic punt-gun ammo, for firing a half-pound of birdshot into a large flock. It hardly seems worth carrying the extra weight if you're talking about individual targets and a handheld gun. Also, the recoil from a handheld gun.... yikes. Nobody's going to want to shoot that more than three times a day.
ОтветитьTracking Point=CCRP (Continuously Computed Release Point) Ballistic computer on Fighter Jets
Ответитьhome-in bullets :)
ОтветитьPuzzled by it being 2077 and still using projectile weapons. There again physics doesn't change and a projectile is likely to ignore energy created shields whereas an energy weapon may be deflected by it.
Re multiple shots at once. Again with physics; the recoil would be multiplied by the combined mass of all the shots at once, as with the Nock seven barrelled naval gun in the early nineteenth century. Thus the weapon would be all but unusable due to the massive recoil.
Re the wearable weapons I'm reminded of the Death World trilogy by Harry Harrison. The basic concept was a pistol holster on the forearm and sensors that read the muscle movements. When the hand made a shape like holding a gun the sensors detected it and the pistol was pushed into the hand automatically by a cable between it and the gun. That negated having to draw a gun as it just 'appeared' in the hand.
The Origin of the Legendary JOHNATHAN FERGUSON
ОтветитьOh man, he missed the Nekomata's main feature, using electronic attack to get a fix on hostiles and shoot through walls to take them out. Kind of the point of the gun.
Ответить"I'm not a melee weapons guy" He says having 4 swords behind him.
ОтветитьIt's funny watching this after actually played the game and used the Carnage shotgun because when I was loading it felt and looked like I was loading 50BMG into the thing instead of shells.
ОтветитьHeating up a blade - like the Thermal Katana...
That color seems to be like quenching temperature - so about 840-850 C (1550 F)
This however would soften up the blade, and make it bend (warp even) on the first strike, also destroying the edge...
Too bad you don't get much ammo to use these amazing guns.
Please Cyberpunk, make us hold more ammo.
Fun fact: the atmosphere around the sun is mostly hotter than the surface of the sun
Ответитьcarefully checks all his guns, then piles them in the trunk. I've seen how V drives, those greebles aren't surviving the trip
ОтветитьThe one thing I'd like to point out- Although I am unsure if you'll see this, is that as a Sci-fi setting there are certain internal consistency bits to consider.
Like, in this setting, even common street wear is made out of bullet resistant materials and future tech nonesense. No one just wears cotton anymore because it's really just that dangerous to just walk down the street. Certain types of cybernetic enhancements are also pretty common, like subdermal armor. Unsurprisingly, this leads to a lot of future guns being large caliber and high energy.
To clarify ingame terms- Tech weapons all use magnetic accelerators. Yeah, that'd include the Nekomata.
Smart guns are, in fact, bullets with guidance systems. They actually talk about it in some of the in game codex's. Basically, the guns computer networks with your own cybernetics to select targets and guide projectiles. If you're wondering, you do need some specialized cyberwear to get good results.
You mentioned that a thermal Katana shouldn't be any better than a steel one- That's even true in game. It's mostly for cool factor, although, there are some edge cases where the target is particularly vulnerable to heat. (Not really relevant, but in game I'd still recommend pretty much any steel katana over any 'exotic damage" type katana. Drones have a tendency to explode when you hit them with their weakness, electricity, and so being close to them while that happens is inadvisable, plus, heat is only useful against a couple things, but is weak against others.)
Why do gun people refer to polymer rather than plastic? You never refer to a polymer spoon or toy…
ОтветитьThe Carnage shotgun looks more like 40mm China Lake Grenade Launcher to me the a conventional shotgun,
ОтветитьThe trauma team’s SMG/rifle doesn’t make a lot of sense either because the magazine is so far in the front that the barrel is probably two inches long.
ОтветитьThis game had so much potential. Still a great game but could have been so much more
Ответитьthat forearm launcher gives "armed and dangerous" a whole new meaning
ОтветитьYeah that "pump shotgun" looks more like a China lake then an 870.
ОтветитьActually there are people in America politicians who believe "incendiary bullets" are self guided heat seeking rounds that can be bought from Wal-Mart or the "gunshowloophole" (whatever that is). And these are the people writing our 20,000+ gun control laws the rest of the world doesn't think exist.
ОтветитьIt’s steel cause it’s cheaper for the Corp. distopian future remember.
ОтветитьTalking about "not really a melee weapon person" with A LITERAL RACK FULL OF SWORDS BEHIND HIS HEAD IN THE VIEW xD I love Jonathan. And yes before people start i know he means he's not an expert, having a few collection items / movie replices etc doesn't make one an expert, no matter what redditors may think.
ОтветитьJonathan is so fucking calming to listen to. Knows his stuff and isn't so fact driven that he gets upset when guns don't work accurately nowadays. LOVE THESE VIDS
ОтветитьHello! Please make a reactionvideo to bioshock too!!!
ОтветитьThe drunk protocol mainly disarm because window karunagappally balance alongside a small amusement. placid, uptight blanket
ОтветитьVipers in the background!
ОтветитьIs that Edna Mode?!? "no capes, dahling!"
ОтветитьShould be noted that in Cyberpunk 2077 the US is also effectively a third world country, so it doesn't have the highest tech options available
ОтветитьSo Aimbot will be real very soon….
Now we can report Military for using Aimbots
Pooooose
ОтветитьLove Ferguson. Hes so perfect for this series.
ОтветитьAnyone else immediately think of Gavin the second you heard gubbins
ОтветитьWarhammer has some crazy guns.
ОтветитьMass effect touch on this topic pretty well, the idea of reloading a weapon seems obvious because unlimited ammo sounds unrealistic but the idea of creating a gun that fires out slivers of a metallic elements able to shave off a couple layers of atoms to use as a projectile make a lot of sense understanding the volume of matter available to be used effectively.
ОтветитьEven as a child watching Star Wars battles and shit, when ever there in a small room fighting I just imagine the longer they fight the hotter the ambient air would get to the point of both party’s giving up from the heat.
ОтветитьWell,4 gauge means never having to say you're sorry!😆😆😆
ОтветитьI think Jonathan feguson should start his own channel.
ОтветитьI love that he references fifth element
ОтветитьHe immediately looks unamused
ОтветитьWatch out for those wrist rockets
Ответитьfun fact lightsabers are accualy cold until they touch surface
ОтветитьCounterpoint FOR the Thermal Katana. Normally you wouldn't want something hot enough to cauterize a wound, against a normal modern human. However if you started integrating technology (armor, weapons, microchips, cameras, etc.) Into a person's body, extreme heat in a melee weapon could cause extra damage to those enhancements that sharp cold steel wouldn't.
Just a thought. I'm not the professional.
I am not a melee wepon expert four(4) swords in the background
