US trains not the same as European railways.
ОтветитьFantastic video full of great information to get started.
ОтветитьGracias señora por su maravillosa acción y rescatar este hermoso gatito. Dios la compensará por su humanidad y amor ❤️
ОтветитьHere is a professional tip. Before you glue the track down, drill holes for the switch wires.
ОтветитьHaving Burt Gummer narrate/host this makes this much more entertaining
ОтветитьMy dad, brother, and I recently got into the hobby that is model railroading. It’s awesome. We don’t really care if our engines have sound or smoke or anything, we just like the fun of it. We have N-scale, and our trains consist of a diesel train running a passenger train, courtesy of the Silver Streak Zephyr, and a steam freight train, courtesy of the Union Pacific Big Boy (which I got for my birthday) and 4 freight cars including a caboose that I recently purchased. Our strategy is to have 4 types of engines pulling 4 types of trains. My brother is covering the passenger trains, and I’m doing freight. We need now a steam locomotive to pull passengers and a diesel locomotive to pull freight. We’re really happy with what we have right now.
ОтветитьFor people that don’t own a saw or don’t feel comfortable cutting wood your local hardware store can do it for you.
ОтветитьThis is so innocent. I love it.
ОтветитьEvery summer I would get to stay with my Papa and Nana Goodrich in Hollister, California for two weeks! And when I was a teenager I stayed for two years! The steam train would roll by their house every day. I’d be on the Victorian house and wave at the conductor and engineer and they’d wave back. I miss those lazy summer days, I’ve loved trains ever since.
Ответитьthe most wholesome video on the internet
ОтветитьSo don’t let your kids get involved with soccer???
ОтветитьWow, this is an art 🎨 project. Realism is important, AND so is the decision on what the THEME or your Railroad 🛤 will be. Whether it's an industry [Freight trains for coal, steel, lumber, transporting goods, or Passenger train service], this is important because it should make sense, and your scenery & buildings should be added accordingly. Otherwise, it's a chaotic mess as a theme. You also need LOTS OF SPACE, or at least a good amount of it.
ОтветитьI like to build this HO scale train💖💖
Ответить55 years in the hobby with the same layout. It started out as a 4x8 oval, and now is a 26’x 26’ empire.
ОтветитьPro tip: the best possible adhesive (and cheapest) for the poly styrene insulation boards is acrylic latex paint. Home box stores often have a return or damaged section for next to no cost. The paint only needs to be applied to one side and is a better bond than the best adhesives in the store. Good luck!
ОтветитьThere are still two more.
I repeat two more mother humpers
Pro-tip, you can replace the non-terminal rerailer with an E-Z Track Crossing Gate. Also, I suggest adding yellow road marking down the center of Main Street for added realism.
ОтветитьHow much money does this take to build the layout
Ответить...
Ответитьthank you brothers for this info
ОтветитьWhat the heck! Bert Gummer playing Mr Rogers was the last thing I expected…
ОтветитьThe best way to build a great railroad is do everything yourself the hell with buying thousands of dollars on building's and landscapes..... DO IT YOURSELF AS AN ARTIST WITH CARDBOARD AND HOBBY SHOP PAINTS ALONG WITH A RAZOR SHARP SCALPEL FOR PRECISION CUTS AND DETAIL.
ОтветитьHow did they get the dad from “family ties” to do this? Way cool! Adds even more nostalgia to this!
ОтветитьIf you want to transport a layout like this, wouldn't it make more sense to have the legs be folding and locking? Any modifications you might want to make to this layout would be a real pain in the butt though
ОтветитьI had this video on a disk when I was 9 years old. I lost the disk but I'm so glad I found the video.
ОтветитьI'm wanting to do this so I have a place to lay my old Monster trucks and Diecasts to rest. I don't want to throw them away or donate them. So putting them in something like this would make the most sense to me.
ОтветитьAt this point, this video is childhood nostalgia for me
ОтветитьModel Railroading isn't just a hobby , no sir... IT'S A WAY OF LIFE! :-)
ОтветитьSome advice, if you are a kid at school into this hobby don’t let kids push you around
ОтветитьPlease keep in mind that this model railway can be adapted to other designs..... Not just 1980s southern Wisconsin!!! Steam locomotives can be used too!!!! and other tracks plans as well!!!!
ОтветитьMr Keaton!!
ОтветитьI think I know the answer to this, but to utilize DCC controllers, do the locomotives themselves need to be DCC compatible?
ОтветитьA documentary for lovers of miniature railway models. The movie tells how you can create a model railroad. The subtleties and tricks of creating different elements of the railway composition are shown. Expert modelers show you the correct ways to create terrain.

Way better than tremors 5 lol
ОтветитьSo informative!! Thanks for this
ОтветитьI would like to see a list of peace’s needed for this project.
Ответить“MALLORY!!!!”
ОтветитьWhat if you can't get the supplies because they won't let you into the hardware store because you refuse to get the experimental jab, or what if you're trying to get this work done but your work space is on fire due to a Black Lives Matter riot?
ОтветитьHi guys I’m just getting into the hobby a great video it has helped me get some great ideas I’ve been looking for what’s an average amount people spend monthly on there hobbies
ОтветитьTheir is something better than making model railway’s for standard gauge engines, it is making model railways with narrow gauge engines. 😉👌
ОтветитьIf you buy or cut 48” long molding you are screwed. The legs are about 65 inches apart. You are also going to need twice as many nuts and bolts. You need four on each side. That’s a bolt and nut for each end of the four lengths of molding which should be 70 or 80 inches long.
ОтветитьThis isn’t a hobby, it’s a type of therapy! Just watching this calms me, really wish I had space for one though
ОтветитьUnfortunately, the table legs are 64-inches apart. There is no way 48-inch molding is going to reach from one set of legs to the other even if horizontal, let alone at an angle to provide bracing. This must be a tyupo; the correct length of these bracing pieces is 68-inches.
ОтветитьMy brother is crazy over train CRASHES so how do you save a layout from some one that runs down at you with a living bat and smacks every single thing he sees?
ОтветитьI find this video very helpful and slightly corny.
