UNLESS,
Your hands are on the bottom of the steering wheel of the towing vehicle,
your theory of "if you want to turn your boat to the right, turn your wheel to the right" is totally out the window, because what happens it's precisely the opposite of what you said period!
You're misleading people and that is being irresponsible!!!
i should probably do it like this so i can get off the ramp faster but luckily where i live the ramps arent that busy. unless its a tournament day and usually those are on the weekends when i dont take fish to the market anyways. i just loosen the main strap that holds the boat on the trailer like a couple feet back down slowly into water and watch for the boat to start floating then get out release that main hook get in it and start it and park it. but ya this is a lot faster. sometimes my boat will come all the way off trailer but because its still attached with that main hook it wont go anywhere and the launch i use is kind of protected from the wind and waves. good tips though.
ОтветитьYou.did not disconnect the trailer lights.
Is this because you have LED lights?
My bulbs will pop if I do not disconnect.
Thanks for this. I plan on purchasing a bass tracker soon and this helps.
ОтветитьWe have rocky shores around here....
ОтветитьThanks I have a small fishing boat. This really helps
ОтветитьI think I'm in love
ОтветитьWill the tow vehicle slide down the ramp or the tires spin when leaving the boat ram if the boat ramp is coated with slippery slime
ОтветитьThanks for the video it helped me understand the process. At 67 I was given a boat and going solo was scary in away but after times tries I'm nailing it. I go fishing once a week or twice a week no matter what most solo...
ОтветитьMaiden voyage of 2023 coming soon ... I'm guessing the best practice for me will be going to a small lake and training on their boat ramp on a quiet Tuesday and get some experience in
ОтветитьIt's nice to see how to do that thank you
ОтветитьWhoa! All wrong. You turn the steering wheel to the right, and the boat goes left. You turn the steering wheel to the left, and the boat goes right. You're just confusing everyone. Check out the hand at the bottom of the steering wheel technique for an easy to remember method. Unless you're like me and can think in opposites. I readily use the steering wheel right to go left and steering wheel left to go right all the time. Otherwise, good job with the launching solo tips.
ОтветитьWhen backing up if you turn your wheel right the trailer will go left not right. Put your hand on the bottom of the wheel and move it right for trailer to go right and vice versa.
ОтветитьJust 1 thing. That's not a transom saver. That's for hydrologics. Transom save is a bar that connects to trailer to under the motor itself. Without that bar attached to trailer the motor will bounce.
ОтветитьGreat simple explanation. Hitching the line to the truck near the cab is a good suggestion - keeps your feet dry. Thanks!
ОтветитьI’d love to own a boat, but being an amputee with on leg would make it harder to do and with someone. If I could do it solo…. I’d have one. So I ordered a new 2022 Can Am max defender limited with hvac. Easier to handle. Great video though.
ОтветитьCool chick.
Ответитьyou kinda glossed over how you got out of the boat and into your truck without getting your feet wet?? this is the problem i have,,,,,
ОтветитьGood job.
Ответитьwow i remember the first time I taught someone to back a trailer.. To back a trailer the way she says... your hand must be on the bottom of your steering wheel. otherwise learn to think in reverse... Good job anyhow!!!
ОтветитьHow did you get from boat to truck without getting in water you did not show that someone got there feet wet
ОтветитьBeautiful boat 😍 thanks for the tips!
ОтветитьDon't follow what she says. Backwards of what she said. When backing up if you want your boat to go right, turn left. If you want it to go left, turn right. She is talking about steering from the bottom of the wheel, that's not the way people drive.
ОтветитьYou made it look 👀 extremely easy.
Very professional video.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Now I just have to do it myself 😎🙏🏻
My new boat is a fiberglass and it’s about 3500 pounds with 4 batteries and trolling motor plus the power pole.
Definitely don’t want to scratch her up.
The guy who I bought it from forgot to put the plug 🔌 when we went out, luckily these boats don’t sink and have self draining.
3 big guys on Clear Lake in Texas and doing approximately 40 miles an hour so one point lol 😂
My small Lowe aluminum boat almost sank on me at the boat ramp by the time I went to get my car.
Thank GOD for the lifeguards and sheriffs on our lake here in California, they saved my boat and helped me load it on the trailer and drain it out ❤️🇺🇸💪🏻🙏🏻
Easy way to launch a boat alone.. dont be a woman.
ОтветитьYou put your hand on the bottom of the steering wheel and steer from there. Then if you want your boat to go left you slightly go left with your hand on the bottom of the steering wheel.
The same for if you want to go right. With your hand on the bottom of the steering wheel just slightly move your hand to the right. Go slow and that is one easy way to know how to back up your boat.
Easy peezy, multiply difficulty/complexity by a factor of 100 when doing this with a much bigger boat! BUT, I do it - so it can be done.
ОтветитьNice job, don't forget to unplug the trailer wires before backing in the water.
ОтветитьGood video ....except to cut right, you turn left, and to cut left you turn to the right.
my 2 cents. Thanks
Thank you soo much your a bad ass chic helping to be confident I’m watching my boat by myself I truly appreciate the good advice detail you do and share with us thank you so much please make more for us women to be confident in launching our boats
ОтветитьGood info, but a few issues I am still weary of (new boat owner). 1. Onshore winds, concerns about the hull scraping/bouncing off rocks. 2. Getting off and on the boat with a big drop (I have a deep V). 3. Need to raise the motor in shallow water and the ability to get traction in the water with the motor.
ОтветитьI'm going to need a one-on-one training course
ОтветитьWoo! Thank you! I just bought my first boat, tired of having to go with all the boys. I will be on a lot of solo trips. Thanks for the great tips!
ОтветитьJust drive the boat up to shore or dock lol u don’t need the rope.
ОтветитьThank you so much! I was always curious about solo launches. Not anymore.
ОтветитьWell done. Thank you. Will everyone who has ever forgotten to put the plug in please raise your hand?
ОтветитьI was thinking of buying a small boat to launch alone but now im buying a yatch hehe
ОтветитьProfessionally done there. The only criticism I can offer is "unttached" isn't a word, it's "unattached" :)
ОтветитьStrong current will kick your as
ОтветитьAdmit it guys, she is decades in front lol
ОтветитьPull the plug before you put the boat on the trailer somebody told me that once 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьYou're backward on the steering wheel directions (unless your hands are at the bottom of the wheel).
ОтветитьWhy are you solo?? Damn
ОтветитьHelpful video!
ОтветитьThanks for the “hook” tip on the tether line. duh
ОтветитьSo where do you hook the end of the rope that’s on your boat like where on the bow do you hook it?
ОтветитьWhat do you do when there are 20 arseholes honking at you because your not a local? Lol
ОтветитьAwesome Video.. Great..Clear instructions!!!
ОтветитьRespect t for them God given royal bloodlines that your originally from
