Mavic 3 pro is louder than the other mavic 3’s due to weight

Even at 300ft I've had people looking up for my Mavic 3.
I suspect the Mini 3/4 Pro to be a lot more stealthy.

The worst noise was the overly loud transition glitch sound, otherwise interesting

No best DJI drones? Mini 2 and Air 2?

After testing the Mavic Air 3 in real life it sounds pretty acceptable in my opinion. Does anyone know how to record audio on that new controller?

I would like this done with the Air 2s. It would be interesting to see exactly how much difference it is to the air 3.

Hi Henrik. When will you update that FlyData so we get rid of these warnings? I think it will take a few minutes by connecting the RC2 to your local Wi-Fi. 🙂

Why do you have to have a lower noise level in Europe with drones and a C1 label on the Drones we don't have to do that here in Australia.

Please compare the noise level between the Air 2s and the Air 3. I think that's what most people are curious about.

The result is not surprising, I expected it.
The Mini series has been optimized for low noise. The noise is usually caused by the part that moves the fastest. A relatively large propeller with a rubber end, which rotates slowly, works quietly at a larger pitch angle. Note that a very small damage will increase the speed and noise, and so will water or icing. (experience)

What I would be interested in is the stability of floating in place. (stability) If you have to fly close between trees and buildings, this is very important. The GPS corrects, but you need to know how big the swing will be.
It looks like you will be doing the test flights that the manufacturer had to do!😄

In your tests, were all the propeller blades new? Worn blades are a lot noisier, which is why drones always seem so quiet when new out of the box. Also, in your video above, I see the leaves of the trees moving in the wind. Drones get a lot noisier fighting the wind. Could you possibly redo your test on a windless day? The wind could explain why your 10 meter results were not consistent.

Great video, and great that all the drones plays their background music at the same level no matter their height :-D
Well, above comment was only half into the video. You removed it later ;-)
But keep up det gode arbejde Henrik.

Good comparison! The sound level in dB/a is one thing, more important is the frequency range. I like the Mavic 3 sound, it is a low frequency like a hornet ;-) and not like a dentist tool...

Note higher frequency Mini 3 noise drops off completely at 30 meters. Larger drones do not.

But lower frequency noise, even when louder, is more tolerable to the higger pitches.

I put quieter props on my Air 2S. Works great.

I’ve just arranged to return my Air 3 because of a major handling fault. Any sideways input in any mode - even with the rates down to virtually zero, results in the drone pitching violently to approximately 30 degrees and shifting rapidly sideways by a metre or so. It nearly ended up in a river because of this. DJI did their usual stellar job and have arranged a replacement asap. Worrying

Hi, I like your clips! I had the same warning as you on my AIR 3. You should try to update FlySafe data outside with at least 10 satellites locked. Do it through wifi or hot spot, it work for me!

Now that the Air 3 got upgraded or downgraded depending on how you look at it to the more expensive props of the DJI Mavic 3's. Instead of getting a 12 piece on Amazon for $17 bucks US. Now I am paying $16 dollars per pair. WTF? I get the props are a little bigger, but when I paid almost $60 bucks 8 freaking Props, that is some grade A BS!

My Mavic 3 Pro has a similar noise sticker like we see on Air 3. Shows 82 dB - vs 81 on Air 3 - i expected much quieter drone after recent releases - Mini 3 /3 Pro in particular. But if i had to give up 10 m/s ascend & descend plus flight times (efficiency) plus 21 m/s speeds? Nope. Make whatever noise you need! Not really? But I'll sacrifice a bit of noise as a trade-off! Guess I can return my dB meter I just bought l Iol. I'll just use your numbers.

One more note: Several people said Mini 3 Pro with plus battery is louder in its effort to handle more weight. Same comment about Mavic 3 Pro with the extra heft (60 grams approx) I guess I can keep my meter and test heavy/light setups of same air frame!

I can highly recommend the props from Master Airscrew, the change in the pitch from their props are great. I use them on all my drones, even the Mavic 3 gets quite a change. They also look cool with the great colors you can get as well, mine is green.

Interesting is doing a low light comparison test. I found that the air 3 performs better in low light than the Mavic 3 pro. Mavic 3 pro provides sharper footage with more detail and better colors which is expected.

Already for a few days I was looking for a review that would measure with a dB meter and some drones. Only 'hearing it' is not realistic as recording equipement often has some kind of compression. Although, when comparing audiorecording, the Mavic 3 Classic seems to sound louder then the Air 3 to my judgement. Maybe the dB meter measures different (higher?) pitch better then lower? Longer soundwaves vs shorter waves? Good test though, one of the best as for noise test! Overal great videos! Thank you.

I expect the Mavic 3 pro to have a higher noise level than the regular Mavic 3 and the classic because its a heavier drone due to the bulky camera.

I like the test you did. I would have to also say that I would expect more noise from the larger drones because of their size. larger object would need larger prop and probably a different pitch on the prop producing a little more noise. thanks,
