It has been reported that Jim wanted to control things and go in a slightly different path and that's why Noddy left the band.This backfired and soon afterwards Jim also left the band....what a waste in their day nobody could compare to them no doubt about That!

Jim Lea/ Noddy Holder. What a writing partnership. Slade have us some of the best albums ever. Old new borrowed and blue. Slade in Flames, Nobody's fools. Tilldeaf found part. The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome. Not one bad album. Slade. Timeless.Cos I luv you. 50 years old.. Beat that..

Fantastic! At my school in the 70's you were either a Slade fan or a big puff (can you say that nowadays?🤣) T Rex fan! I was a Slade fan (with a secret enjoyment of T Rex on the side!) Let's please get the band together for one last tour or sort the royalties four ways. Dave and Don were a big part the success too!

Slade's songs are very connected to the way Noddy Holder sang,
pulsed energy, it's almost sacrilegious, to hear Slade's songs by someone other than Noddy Holder,
even if it's Jim Lea, who was part of the group, it hurts our ear, hope Jim Lea forgive me, it is frustrating. Almost a sin.

After the original members of Slade went their separate ways, (1991), Dave did call a meeting with Don, Jim, Nod & himself, where Dave suggested getting back together. Don & Jim were all for it, BUT Dave insulted Nod, who would then have nothing to do with it. Jim said if Nod was out, then he wasn't interested.

My favourite Jim Lea, the brains behind Slade undoubtedly! Hugely talented and an amazing songwriter, he held his own with his solo albums, quite a few of his songs incorporated iin the Slade label. Rock on Jimmy!!❤❤❤
