Great stuff - Video was already over before I knew it.
ОтветитьWhat a book and what a summary!
Ответитьthe starting analogy of how school teachers never explain WHY one should study is extremely accurate reason of why I also never liked to study throughout of school days, but today love reading after understanding why reading is useful for developing my life and capabilities
ОтветитьYes yes yes and yes I agree 😊 I am mentoring a child too

Ответитьsuch trite, to be honest, it's common sense delivered and marketed, meh.
ОтветитьI like when someone explains in such a simple way. Before, I didn't know whether to read this book. However, now, I'm sure. Thanks for doing this kind of video that inspires everyone to work on improvements.
ОтветитьHe pretty much summed up the book, seriously.
ОтветитьWhat program did you use
ОтветитьGreat inspiration for people of all ages. The book that started me on my journey was also How To Win Friends and Influence Others. Reading Start with Why today 😁. Keep it up!
ОтветитьHave you read this book..!
ОтветитьThank you, Simon!
ОтветитьYour school examples is a great interpretation of the book
ОтветитьWhat the app or program that is used for the animations of these videos?
ОтветитьFantastico!
ОтветитьMarvelous book, great explanation!
Ответитьsecond time I heard this and both times computer, this one some tablet, first time --apple computer. can someone say this without a computer company?
ОтветитьThis is such a powerful concepts and I realized I can apply it to any part of my life. Why should I study? Because I want to gain a different perspective of the world, learn something new so I can apply it to a job I like, which can also make be money, and then give me a life of financial independence.
ОтветитьWhat an amazing example! A society who is deprived of why.
Parents, teachers, elders get angry when you ask why. Cuz they don't know
Great
ОтветитьThe failure isn’t the teacher it’s you. You have failed to understand the importance of reading and this stems from bad parenting. Don’t blame your teacher for your poor upbringing.
ОтветитьGreat leaders inspire action
ОтветитьThat's Why, really awesome, will put it in practice starting with my why, Muchas Gracias.
ОтветитьEssentially, start with a problem and then give the solution.
ОтветитьHi Simon
Why is USA remain in Afghanistan?
The teacher can't imagine anyone reading books to better themselves. They're happily stuck in a rut.
ОтветитьAnyone who is reading this i wish you more success in abundance
ОтветитьI´m here from my course "English for marketing and sales" ajjajaja
ОтветитьAnd a mentor is a man who with hands on his hips & wears a suit & an uninspiring teacher is an old, scolding woman — got it!!!
ОтветитьUm... no. I was told to read the classics too since I went to a hyper-competitive gifted class where many students end up at harvard/yale etc. In my year, we had 3 of the 5 perfect scores in all of Canada for the grade 10 national math contest that year, for example.
Anyway, the "why" was always clear; you read the classics because they're supposed to be really high quality so you learn better language skills so you can beat the other kids and get in HYPSM (harvard yale princeton stanford MIT).
Although I was completely brainwashed and sold on the belief that if you didn't go to HYPSM you were an utter failure and worse than trash, I was never motivated by all of that hyper competitiveness.
This book pairs well with the mindfulness book "30 Days to Stop Giving a Shit" by Corin Devaso. Great leaders are mindful and at ease in even the craziest situations.
Ответитьyou barely touch the surface of the matter. The book is much more deeper than what you posted
ОтветитьIt's a great book, loved it from start to finish. If you like the summary, get the book
ОтветитьLoved the summary and how clear the message is. However, it is very male-centric. Told from a man's perspective, teachers are old women who know little about success, mentors are successful men, and success is defined as relationships when a hot chick appears, and businesses when a man with a laptop appears. Being a man, I still find it very biased.
ОтветитьWHY is a synonym for "clarity" principle. Others would call it purpose, big goal, big dream, reason... Simon Sinek used a very intuitive model for amateur description of clarity. Please don't stop there because CLARITY = POWER.
Ответитьteacher sam
Ответитьno
ОтветитьI'd say this is the biggest Problem in the world. Most people just "work" with the what and how and the realy smart eople, that understand but also need the why are left out by all the non brainers that are just happy with everything as it is an never questen anything with why. They jsut stick to the rules and do whatever their told without asking why. thats why they work so well in the shortterm, but never are able to go beyond a certain point. Perfect global slave system :(
ОтветитьGood job
ОтветитьSummary: offer a solution to a problem. Did he really need a whole book for that?
ОтветитьThis is fantastic!
Ответитьbachelorette
ОтветитьFind your why and you'll find your way!!!!
