how does the low light compare to the Sony fs700 HD/4k? seen some really nice deals with the old fs700 with o7s for like almost half the price of the fs5

Why are you saying that a bad point is that the camera is S35?

This is a good review, but you should have given more "numbers", like : frame rate options, true quality, dynamic range, weight, inputs, and you should compare it more to its competitors (C100, A7SII, FS7)

Too bad this isn't a better option than A7sii. I have an FS7 and was hoping to pair with it, but looks like I'll go with the A7s instead.

Dedicated video/digital cinema cameras don't use 'full frame'. 35mm motion picture film is super 35. So that's not a valid complaint. You should really know this.

ISO 16000 good!

I thought even at 16000 it was usable if you applied a bit of noise reduction. And again, who would shoot at 16000 iso??

This guy is a bit all over the place. He moans about the ISO 3200 for sLOG (which I agree is insanely high) but then wants a full frame sensor which only adds to light sensitivity. As mentioned below before almost all cinema cameras use Super35 sensors it's not a big deal the crop is minimal compared to 35mm and it gives a bit more leeway in focusing.
I shoot BMCC 4K and recently went back to do a run and gun shoot on my Canon 5D and you are really working hard to keep stuff in focus when you use fast lenses. So I sorta like the whole Super35 anything small is in my mind problematic for shallow depths of field.

Compared to a ursa mini 4K i must say this cameras footage looks like crap. But i understand its a totally different concept...

Hows the Slow Motion with the Sony Fs5?

You make it sound as if slog3 is the only choice here -at that high iso. What about slog2? And what about other camera profiles? I could easily live without slog3.

unless you have SUPER fast glass - i wouldn't touch it. but with Zeiss Milvus EF primes with a metabones - i don't touch the ISO - it's locked in at 1000. buy the body only. cards are super cheap. shooting high speed at 240fps at 1080p HD matches the 4k SLOG once in davinci. this camera has the same sensor as the F7. if you're running and gunning, by yourself - the shooter, the DP, the dreamer - this killa is for you.
