Parasailing, Rope broke !

Seriously dont know why people dont check their ropes more often. My ex did high rise window cleaning when one of the guys rope broke and he fell to his death. Company is still in business. Smh

A girl I attended HS with, back in the 1960's, was killed doing this very thing. I believe her rope broke at altitude though and she fell to her death. I've flown in fighter jets, I've piloted sail planes and lived a reckless life as a young man, but I never, ever had the desire to parasail. You have no control of anything.

So lucky it broke near the water and not 1000' feet out. Would have been a totally different outcome. Parasailing is dangerous and should be taken as serious as any UNREGULATED sport. Until the get safety guidelines in place. I will not let my family members do it. There have been too many deaths. Your lucky they were near good lifeguards too. Most of Mexico tourist areas are full of great people who will do anything for you. They did a great job getting it stopped. That could have really ended badly. Glad everyone is ok.

Holy crap! I've parasailed twice and so far no issues, taking my fiancee parasailing in Nassau in a few weeks I hope this doesn't happen! Great video!

I've gone parasailing 5 times at different places and no troubles, but now you know why you need to wear a floatation jacket. It appears they were being pulled backwards by the wind. In that situation I way have undone the clips, got free and sacrificed the canopy.

So did they even know they weren’t even supposed to land in the water? Or is that how they do it there and then it broke? When I did this in the Bahamas, we went off from a boat and landed back down feet first into the boat
